Crab Shack

Crab Shack offers a wide range for the seafood lovers. Not so much for those who don't enjoy seafood. Everything is very fresh and their Low Country Boil is my favorite!! You get to choice what shellfish you want in it. Dinning is casual. Be prepared to wait! But be entertained by the alligators in the pond.

It truly is where the elite eat in their bare feet!!! The Gator Pool is Awesome!! My kids were thrilled to get to feed them!!! The food was more than we could eat! In addition to seafood they have amazing BBQ! The sauce is unique!

The crab shack is a little pricey, and if you're not into seafood this probably isn't the place for you. That being said it's a wonderful atmosphere and the food is really good. It is amazingly fast as well!

The Crab Shack has quickly transitioned from a local hangout to major tourist attraction. It has an alligator pond, and you may purchase gator food to keep the kids busy if you have to wait for a table. Most dining is outside, among the live oaks, with thousands of tiny lights overhead, and actual fire pits of burning logs on chilly nights. The food quality is generally excellent, but on occasion, the side dishes might be cooler than you hope. They serve several varieties of crab, oysters, and barbeque, but specialize in Ophelia, and Low Country Boil dishes. A full bar is also available, with excellent mixed drinks. What makes this place unique is the look and feel of the vast outside dining area. In cold or inclement weather, the inside area is used, and is a bit breezy since the open sides are covered with heavy plastic tarps as needed. We've been to the Crab Shack several times and have always had a great time. The food is good, there is a fairly good selection of seafood, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is a lot of fun. Sitting outside is great, especially when it's not too hot. One of my favorite places to eat on Tybee.

WOW, you won't walk away hungry! Great food, atomsphere, service! Very island type atomsphere! Alligator farm for the kids to enjoy! Nice Gift Shoppe too!

PROS: Gift Shop, Aligator Farm, Plenty of Food on Plates to eat, nice & relaxing!
CONS: NONE been going there for near 13 years and love it!
