Dr. Sigman is the best vet. He and his staff are so considerate and understanding...We just had to have our cat that we have of 14 1/2 years put down. They did everything prior to save her. I've taken my cats, dogs, all my animals to him. If he was a human Dr. I'd be his first patient. We dropped her off to have an operation and when they found out they were going to have to put her down they were kind enough to wait on us to get there to complete the procedure.

I have used Dr. Sigman for 30 years. He and his staff have seen me through some good and very bad times. He has taken care of every Dog and Cat I have ever had. When my dog developed cancer he was very calm in explaining what I could expect. When she had to be put to sleep he and his staff were very considerate of my feelings and sent me a condolence card. Day or night he always had time and would meet me for emergency visits. He is a little gruff, but when it comes to my pets he and his staff will be the ones to take care of them.

Dr. Sigman has treated all of our small pets, for fourteen years. He is a no-nonsense pet doctor. I have read some of the reviews. While Dr. Sigman doesn't have the most genial beside manner, he is a competent caring doctor that takes practical care of animals. When you consider that his patients have no say in the cost, and that vets deal with owners with varying degrees of attachment to their pets,, Dr. Sigman delivers quality service. He may not have the most "touchy feely" bedside service, but his patients can't talk. It's a competent, quality vetinary service.

Seen an assistant total scared of dogs. About a year ago I did see Dr. Sigman and he seemed totally annoyed with my dogs the both are 8 yrs old and calm and are inside.
He needs to stay with horses because I do have a friend that said he had to call for his horse and he was great.

I used him once when my vet was out of town, we were referred to him by my vet's answering machine. What a mistake.

I have a very nervous cat, when I told him maybe it was best not to shave her head right behind her ear because she was freaked out, I was ignored. Cat promptly freaked, kicked his glass jar of cotton balls off the table, pooped on the table, and scratched his face. He was pretty upset to say the least! Even swore. Looking back, it's kinda funny.

He's kind of a redneck--there was a big "coon hound" in the waiting room, and when he complained the dog was losing a lot of weight, the Dr. actually suggested to feed the dog bacon grease---SERIOUSLY. I should have headed for the hills at that point.

I will never go back there, and I even told my vet that I would reconsider sending pets there, unless he wants to ensure he maintains his clients, because I can't imagine anyone staying with this cranky old redneck.

I LOVE Dr. Sigman and all of his Staff. I have used a few other vets around here and they all overcharge and some were clueless. I will admit his bed side manner could use a lot of work but in an emergency he is the one I would call. couple of weeks ago my English Bulldog needed a c-section and I was afraid he wouldn't do it because it was almost 12:00 on sat plus it was the day after it snowed when roads weren't great. To my surprise, he told me to come on and did an awesome job just in the nic of time. All of his staff is helpful and kind so his bed side manner I can get over plus he's the vet for me. Thanks Dr. Sigman & STAFF

I have used dr sigman for years he and his staff are very freindly and helpful. We had to have our cat of 13 years put down due to cancer. He and his staff were very conpassionate and I received a sympathy card for our loss. They know us by name and have helped many times for afterhour emergencys. They also treat your animals like your children.

Dr. Sigman took excellent care of our Yorkshire terrier "Sweet Pea" for 14 years. If we needed him after office hours, he was there for us. At the end of her life he was caring & compassionate to both Sweet Pea & us. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Michael Sigman.

I went to Sigman vet. after moving to Covington 1 year ago. I had my 2 cats declawed there. Spent $$$$ at that time. When my cat Cali started bleeding a few weeks ago I took her in to be seen. They diagnosed her with a urinary track infection and gave me meds to correct it. I followed all directions & $80.00 later she has not stopped bleeding. They want more MONEY to see her to again. Another $100.00 to $150.00 per the office staff. I felt that they took my $80.00 and should have given me a credit towards coming back in since they didn't diagnosis her properly. I WILL NOT be back. I lost my $80.00 and that's hard to lose. My Cali is still hurting and I'm very upset! I will find another vet in my area and will let all of you who read this know how my new vet handles this. Thank you.

Almost a year ago I took my dog to Dr. Sigman and his staff. My dog was unable to walk and was not acting right. I was told to take her home and if she was not better in a few weeks to bring her back. I then took her to Banfield and after taking on look at her I was told she needed to go to UGA. Ginger ended up having an auto-immune disorder that was attacking her brain. After spending a week at UGA Ginger is doing well. She is on medication and doing well. UGA saved her if I would of done what Dr Sigman and his staff suggested she would of died in a few days.

Dr. Sigman is really rude and acts as though you, as a customer are inconveniencing him. Also he charges a $15 prescription fee and refuses to call or fax it in to inconvenience you into using him as a more expensive pharmacy instead of a cheaper on-line retailer. I will never go to him again.

Sigman was the WORST mistake i have EVER made .
I should have NEVER taken ANY of my animals to his office.
He sucks at handling ferrets, sucks at calming the animals down, he isnt good with small animals. He is okay with horses but i wouldnt trust him with anything thing else for the life of me.

He has killed a few of my loved pets, and a few of my friends loved pets and NEVER explained why they died. He didnt even come in the room, he made the nurse hand me my beloved cat, sqweeky!

What kind of an ass would not step up to his plate and explain what the hell he did!
I was disappointed.

If you love your pets, DONT take them here.
The staff and himself are the most rudest people i have ever met, and they should NOT work with people OR their pets!
Thanks have a great day,

Sarah.

This is both a small and large animal facility, but I've used them for my horse. Dr. Sigman did a wonderful job treating the lameness that my horse had and I'm happy to say he's no longer lame. He always had time to answer questions and schedule last minute appointments. Great doctor!

I use Sigman for my horse and he has done a wonderful job treating what could have been a career ending injury. He always made time for me to discuss my horses case whether I needed to bring him to the clinic (he has a seperate diagnostic facility for large animals) or I just stopped by and needed to ask a question.
