Absolutely love Primrose! We started our search knowing what we DIDN'T want which was daycare, Then we did a lot of homework by asking around. This center's name kept popping up, including from several moms who are teach in elementary schools-and two of them didn't even have their kids there. It's been since early 2013 that our child has been at Primrose and we love it. We feel our child is safe, loved and getting everything he needs and more. The only thing I wish they offered is part time in their baby room because I only needed 3-4 days a week and we had to pay for 5. Now that he's in YT though we can do part time.

This experience was the best for our children! Not only are the earlier learning classes a benefit, but the pre-K is as well. The environment is very nurturing and educational for pre school children. The group environment is such a positive start to developing life long social skills. The private pre K curriculum is a terrific head start to kindergarten. Our children were reading by the time they went to kindergarten. They've maintained some of the friendships they created while at Primrose of Kennesaw North. All around, this was the best fit for our family! FIVE STARS!

Was trying to have my child go to this school and already left a bad taste in my mouth. Other schools that participate in the GA-Pre-K, allocate slots to children on 1st come basis, this school said they do their's by lottery, and on a date that the affected parents are unaware of! It's already a lottery program why are you conducting another lottery to award it? For very involved parents like myself who took the time to inquire early and filled out the application as soon as you started accepting applications, shouldn't our children be given priority placement? And when you call to ask questions, they are rude to you on the phone and don't try to help you in any way, just want you to accept whatever they tell you and get off the phone. I feel the GA-Pre-K lottery they claim they are doing is dubious, and more of a system to select who they feel fits the image of their school, there's no lottery being done. Horrible establishment, I'll have my child go somewhere else.

Business Response:

We are very sorry that you had anything less than a positive experience when attempting to pre-register your child in our GA Pre-K program for the fall. We understand how frustrating it can be trying to get your child in to a facility that you trust and know your child will be happy and secure at. Over the past 14 years we have tried several methods for handling the GA Pre-K enrollment process. The one we found to be most successful and fair is the process we implement now and have for the past 8 years. Prospective parents are given approximately 3 months to submit their lottery form. On a pre-announced date we hold a lottery drawing and then call those families. They are given a certain period of time to accept or decline before we move on to the next person on the list. We always have a wide diversity of children in our program from many different cultural and economic backgrounds which we feel is beneficial for all of our students. We wish your child the very best and hope that you have found an excellent GA Pre-K program for him or her.

We can't be any more pleased with the progress our son has made in the 1-1/2 years he's been enrolled at Primrose School of Kennesaw North. I love the fact that he has the same teacher that our older son had when he was enrolled 3 years earlier. Turnover appears to be very low which is unusual from what I hear. It doesn't surprise me though because the teachers seem genuinely happy and content.

Everyone at this school is so friendly-starting from when we walk in the front door. We actually came from another Primrose School. We knew the curriculum was good but we wanted more from their staff in the way of caring and nurturing for our child. Our old neighbors have a child here and always spoke highly of it-so we toured and thought we'd give it a try even though it's a little out of our way. We couldn't be happier and our son is really happy which matters the most. I don't know how they juggle everything that they do (they offer lots of 'extra' things for parents) but I speculate it's because they are extremely organized and they've been at this for awhile. We made the right choice without a doubt.

I was extremely luck to have found Primrose Kennesaw North when I did. I had just gotten a full time job and the 4 hour preschool my daughter was attending was not a good fit for my new schedule. I called in and spoke to Ms. Anne and she was able get my daughter into the PreK program. It was a true blessing. The teachers and staff are so caring. It really feels like a big family. Ms. Lisa was always available and hands on. You don't always see that from owners of other daycares/preschools. My daughter learned so much and loved her teachers. On her last day I was the one in tears. I am grateful for the wonderful experience they gave my daughter. I would highly recommend Primrose of Kennesaw North.

My child will be heading into 2nd grade but she attended Primrose Schook of Kennesaw North from their infant room through Pre-K. This past week I ran into Primrose owner Lisa at a craft store. I want to share here what I shared with her when she asked how my daughter has done in school.

The short of the long is, my daughter has done incredibly well in school and my husband and I attribute much of it to Primrose, their curriculum and the positive learning environment that they provided for her. We remember Primrose as being such a happy place with great teachers, awesome communication, and always activities or special events taking place that aimed to have a positive influence on the kids. When my daughter entered kindergarten she was on 'top of her game' from the get-go and has continued to excel since then. She is in her school's gifted program now and when she goes into middle school the year after next will be well positioned for honors level classes. Again-we attribute much of this to her early exposure to a quality curriculum and her early development for a love for learning. I highly recommend this center. We didn't fully realize it at the time but it was a great gift that we gave our daughter.

It has been a pleasure to have our daughter enrolled in such an amazing school for the past 3 years. With the help of the Primrose curriculum, awesome teachers, and the dedication and support of owner Lisa Soukup, we have watched her thrive and grow into an incredibly well-rounded child. Knowing that she spent her days in such an enriching environment made it easier as a working parent, and provided invaluable piece of mind. It is obvious that Lisa cares for these children and has an incredible passion for what she does. Thank you for everything and keep up the great work!

For the past 7 years we would not have had our two children any place else other than Primrose School of Kennesaw North. When a new Goddard opened up their doors a couple of years back in Acworth, I know that there were several families

Having worked in Higher Education for over 20 years, I see the impact of a solid educational foundation on students. My daughter went to Primrose School of Kennesaw North for many years and also participated in their private Kindergarten class. She loved her teachers and all the wide variety of curriculum. She moved to a private school for 1st grade and her reading was assessed at 4th grade level. I credit her success in part to the care and devotion she received while attending Primrose School of Kennesaw North and the level of parental engagement in the education process that they foster at this facility. Your children will thrive by attending this school.

I usually post reviews when I'm unhappy about a product or service. This time I'm doing the opposite because i feel that Primrose School of Kennesaw North really deserves their horn to be tooted. Our son has been attending since he was 10 weeks old. He's now three and has thrived beyond our expectations. This becomes that much more evident when he's in playgroups on weekends with some of my stay-at-home mom friends kids and I see how much better he interacts, speaks, follows directions, and just know more in general than the other children his age. The management and teachers at Primrose have always worked with us on any concerns or issues we have brought to their attention (which have been fairly minimal) but most of all....we really trust them with our only child. We live in Acworth and work in Kennesaw so while he was a baby I visited every day to give him a bottle. I can't do that now because he gets upset when i leave (even though he loves being there) but I also don't feel the need to be there because I know he's in excellent hands. Yes, you owe it to yourself to look at this center-I almost missed it because I was initially just googling places in Acworth but then i heard about it from a friend. sure glad i did!

I'm a grandma who until 7 months ago had the pleasure of helping my daughter and husband care for my beautiful grandaughter. Medical problems that I developed caused them to have to find alternative care for her. I was very upset when my daughter told me she was going to look at daycare centers for her daughter. I insisted on going along when she visited places, and was convinced she was making a bad choice. I'm writing now because I've changed my attitude completely thanks to this center. First, I've learned the difference of daycare vs. childcare (they stay away from the word daycare). My grandchild is blossoming right under my eyes. She's so happy, vivacious and smart and I know it has a lot to do with what she sees, learns, and hears during her days at Primrose. She loves her friends and teachers and the school seems to run so efficiently. Everyone who works there just seems to enjoy what they do and their owner and director seem to know everyone....parents and children. I don't know what other childcare places are like but I am thankful that this center is here for my daughter and son-in-law. God Bless them.

My daughter came home the other day telling me that she went to China. I knew that her class was learning about different countries and I tried to explain to her the difference about 'going' to a place and actually 'learning' about it. She wouldn't listen to me and kept telling me "no mom, I really went to China!". Then I read her daily report to see if I could understand why she was being so insistent. Well....she was right....the class did actually go to China....in a way. The class Skyped with another 5 year old class in China and they sang songs in both languages. Her teacher told me they spent around 45 minutes visiting their new friends. Now how cool is that! This is just one example of many as to why we absolutely LOVE this school. Talk about making learning fun for the kids. In my daughters prayers at night she now prays for her new China friends and asks God to help them learn English "really good".

I'm taking the time to write this review because I feel that what this school has is very special. One way to share my thanks and appreciation to Primrose is to share this info with others who may be looking for childcare.

I was really scared and nervous about going the childcare route (an aunt cared for her). However, my daughter clearly needed to be around other kids and that's why we made the decision to enroll her in a program. Without going into a lot of detail on why we selected Primrose Kennesaw North, I will say that they have exceeded our expectations. We have great respect for Lisa (their owner) and her mgmt team. They are hard working and you can tell they really love their work. We feel the same way about the teachers and so many of them have been employed there for years. Their tuition might be slightly higher then others but not by much. Don't let that deter you from at least touring the school (note: don't use the word 'daycare' in their building.....they really dislike being called this because they are so much more....and they really are).

We have two children at Primrose School of Kennesaw North and we love 'em! Our oldest child was here for three years before we got transferred out of state. By the time we came back to the area we had a second child and actually bought a house near Primrose because we knew we wanted him to go there. It's a place we trust, they love coming to, and where we know they are always learning. What more can I say?

I'm a single mom and doing everything I can to provide the best for my daughter. Part of that is making sure that she's well cared for during the day when I'm at work. I chose this particular school for a lot of reasons but I think the most important one was that I just 'felt' that it was right from the moment I walked in the door to tour the school. I was very impressed with all that I heard but even more so after she was in the school for a short period of time because of how happy she is and how much she is learning. I think her teachers are terrific and that the overall school atmosphere is such a positive one...and everyone seems to have so much energy and love for what they do.

When looking for a new center for our son we spent a lot of time doing research to find a place that we knew he would be safe (our number one priority), was learning and having fun, and where we would be made aware of what he was doing throughout the day (all the things that were missing at the prior place he was at). We get all this and much more at Primrose. Everything our neighbors and friends told us about it hold to be true. It's a bit out of our way and if it wasn't through word-of-mouth we probably would not have even found the school. We're so glad we did because our son is thriving, is happy, and we never worry about his care.

Very active school. It's clear that the children in the school enjoy themselves and that their staff enjoys doing what they do. We go to alot of birthday parties of other kids in my son's class and the universal feel is that parents are extremely happy there. The parents seem to appreciate that management keeps us involved and that they encourage involvement of the parents in activities and events. I personally love the focus that the school places on incorporating respect and good character development....can't ever get too much if this! Overall....top notch place for your child.

Absolutely the best childcare center by far in the area! Our son was at two centers prior to us hearing about Primrose School of Kennesaw North from a neighbor. My wife and I have a tremendous amount of respect for their owner, management and staff. They are professional, diligent at follow up, and very particular and detail-oriented. We leave for work with no worries and you can't put a price on that!. It came as no surprise to us when we heard that their recent state licensing told them during her recent visit that she would consider this school to be the best one that she has responsibility for.

Truly a top-notch center! My husband and I have had 3 children enrolled here over the course of 9 years. Honestly, I can't imagine having placed them anywhere else. They have become like a second family to us. And many of the teachers that my oldest child had are still there. That says alot about their program, management team, and positive working environment. We have never hesitated to share with management any concerns or questions that we may have because they really encourage that type of partnership with their families. A good judge of the happiness and satisfaction of parents is to attend a young child's birthday party and listen to what parents say about the school. I frequently hear parents of other children say very positive things about their overall experience. They have many strengths but their overall focus on the education, love, and overall well being is probably their top. Equal to that is how well they communicate with all of us parents....this has never been an issue for us.

I just want to say that I think Primrose School of Kennesaw North is a top-notch childcare center and I am so happy that they had an opening when we were looking for a place to enroll our son. My son is happy and loves coming to school to be with his friends and teachers. To me that speaks volumes and is also what allows my husband and I to go about our day without guilt or mis-givings. I know my son is learning so much because of what he comes home saying and doing, but I am also able to read about it on his daily sheet...it makes for good communication with him on our drive home in the afternoon. Communication with his teachers and/or management is NEVER an issue.....they've got that one down pat! I make a point to let my co-workers, friends, and neighbors know about our complete satisfaction because too often people are willing to take the time to complain when they're not happy about something but not often enough do people take the time to acknowledge when a good job is done. From our perspective, Primrose has done an excellent job and they deserve major kudos for their hard work and effort. I encourage anyone who is looking for a childcare center to do yourself a favor and take a tour of Primrose so you can see for yourself.

I would like to respond to a comment posted by Ms. C. on 10/9/09 regarding her experience when calling our school for information.

It is always our intention to respond to all inquiries with the highest level of professionalism, regardless of the time of day that a call is received or how busy we may be. I apologize to Ms. C. for her less-than-positive experience that she had when she called. If the individual who took the call was too busy to devote her full time and attention to Ms. C, then it would have been best to take her name and number and ask her if it was OK to get back to her shortly.

We feel that Primrose offers a tremendous value for the quality of care and education that the children in our school receive. Our SACS Accredited program is highly regarding throughout the industry. We have a proven track record of academic success that is substantiated by test scores received from parents of students who have moved on to higher levels of education. A large part of our success is attributed to our excellent Balanced Learning Curriculum as well as smal classroom ratios.

We are very proud of our staff, our children, and the excellent partnership that we share with our Primrose families. If you are seeking educational childcare for your child we would be honored to set up a time to speak with you and give you with a tour of our beautiful facility and 2-acre campus.

My experience was very different than the person who responded below. I called during an apparently busy time too because the person who answered the phone asked if they could call us back in about 10 minutes. She explained that they were helping children get on the bus for a fieldftrip. I said 'sure' and shortly thereafter recerived my call. The Director was very kind and answered my questions. After I toured the school it was very clear to me why they are a bit more expensive (but not terribly) then some of the other centers in the area. Their center is very inviting and the kids all seemed very happy, She talked alot about the curriculum and it seems wonderful. I even had a chance to talk to a couple of parents picking up their children and they both said that the school and curriculum are great and that their kids love coming.

Unfortunately, after I toured the school, the company I was about to go to work for called and said they needed to delay my start date by several months (due to some financial problems they are apparently having.), Now I'm not sure if it's going to work out at all but if is does I will very likely enroll in this school.

Too expensive and not very professional. I called to get the rates and kept getting placed on hold and from reading the other reviews I should run for the border. The rep did not sound like she knew the rates and was needing assistance answering my questions......That says alot!

Primrose Reply Thank you for your feedback. We truly apologize if we came across as anything less then fully professional and responsive to your request for information. We strive to handle all calls promptly and accurately. Certain times of the day can get quite busy (primarily drop-off and pick-up time). Based on your comment it sounds like the individual answering your call should have taken a message and followed up with you shortly thereafter when it was not so busy and could focus on your questions. I have shared your comment with management so that we are all reminded of the importance of good customer service, even during our busiest times.

I am totally impressed with the education my daughter is receiving and the manners she's taught are totally what we expect and teach at home as well. Very great staff and totally impressive from the office staff to the last classroom.

I've been a parent here for over 2 years, my daughter, is in Pre-k. I'm amazed at what she is learning including Spanish and Science concepts and she is already reading. The staff and management are great and always available. I appreciate the fact that they follow their policies, sometimes this can be frustrating when I'd like for them to make an acception, but I do appreciate the consistency. I highly recommend this school for their educational care versus (Daycare).

I moved to the Kennesaw area 6 months ago. During our househunting trips (twice) I asked anyone I encountered what childcare center I should place my daughter in. Primrose School of Kennesaw North kept coming up. After I toured I knew why. The staff is incredible and so friendly. Everything they told me in the tour about their quality curriculum, community involvement, parent communication, etc. has proven to be true. The owner Lisa is amazing and my family loves all of the pictures that she takes of our little girl. My family in California loves being able to log onto the school's photo website to download pictures of her as well. The school truly has a family feeling to it. For the little bit extra that I am paying at this school over other less quality schools, it's well worth it. My daughter is learning so much!

We moved to the area about 3 years ago. In this time my son has attended 3 schools, with the last being Primrose School of Kennesaw North. I was impressed when I walked in the door because I was warmly greeted and the school smelled nice. My son has been a student there now for two years and I continue to be impressed with their staff and the caring love that everyone has for the children. The management staff is always very responsive to any questions that I have and I love that my son is coming come learning new things every day. Yes, I do pay more than I was at his other two schools but my husband and I feel it is worth every penny. Their owners Lisa and Nick are there every day and you can tell that the high standards that they have for their school are shared by everyone who works there. If you are looking for a childcare center I strongly recommend you visit them.

Primrose tauts itself as being a leader in early learning and having the best facilities and programs. Don't just trust the commercials, but step inside and see for your self. Staff is uneducated (the use of the word "aint" and double negatives are bound to rub off on your child. The programs are not exceptional and I would rank them as average at best. For the price, you really aren't getting much. I don't know if all Primrose schools are as mediocre to poor as this one, but my child will not be attending here.

This daycare is not the greatest. Actually looks like it is an old bank converted into a childcare facility, located in downtown Kennesaw. I am not particullarly fond of the associates that work there, and would highly recommend that you don't send your kids here.

Business Response:

Primrose Management I'm not sure if this review is referring to our school. There was an old bank building in downtown Kennesaw that was converted into a childcare center but it closed down several years ago. We have a beautiful school that is exceptionally well-maintained.

Primrose is a great organization, however, this school is not up to their standards and they don't even know it. They take very good care of the children, but that has more to do with the outstanding staff than the management and ownership. It is unfortunate that the owner has not fully lived up to the potential this school could offer.

My 2yrs old was in their daycare program and she absolutely loved it. They really care about each child, and also make parents feel very comfortable letting them watch their kids.
