My #1 Favorite restaurant. I flew all the way from Los Angeles and plan to do it every year. Its like being at a 5 star restaurant and your grannies country store in one single experiance, Its hard to put a finger on it. Martha and Herb are as good as it gets. A truley amazing place full of history and good folks.

Outstanding, off-the-beaten-path cuisine. Intimate atmosphere, excellent service and very reasonable prices for the quality. The outside is very unasuming. Brown-bagging is allowed. This is our new favorite.

From the outside, this really does look like a shack, but it's a great restaurant. It's got a very comfortable feel to it and the food is surprisingly of higher quality than you would expect. I dined here with a date before a formal dance at my school. We enjoyed our meal and would go back again.

Ballenger's is a truly unique dining experience. The food is wonderful - apparently is changes weekly based on what is in season and the mood of the chef/owner. You'll never see any advertising for it and the if you don't make reservations a week ahead of time, you probably won't get in. It sits off the side of the rode in the middle of nowhere. From the outside it looks like a rundown old house. On the inside it looks like an old house converted into a restaurant. In the waiting area there are articles covering the wall giving the history of the restaurant and talking about the family that owns it. The county it's in a dry, so you have to bring your own alcohol. Prices are a bit high but well worth it.
