After 10+ years at a pricey Buckhead salon, I gave David at Midtown Hair Studio a try. I have never had better color or a better cut. I have been going to Midtown Hair Studio for 1 1/2 years and have never been disappointed. His prices are great and the place is very low key. I am stopped on the street by strangers who want to know where I get my hair done. I have referred many people to David. He is the BEST!

I've routinely gotten the best haircuts of my life at Mid-town studio. There's no long wait and when I have my hair cut short the cut grows in beautifully and can last me 3 months. If you amortize that expensive cut over those 3 months, it is a real bargain. I'm cheap and would usually scrimp on myself--but this place is worth every penny.

Careful, there may be two Midtown Hair Studio/Salons out there. Midtown Hair Studio at 931 Monroe (near Apre and the movie theatre) is wonderful!! Very relaxed and comfortable. Versus the typical salons in ATL, you don't feel like you have to get dressed up with makeup to go there. The owner and team specialize in color and its worth the midtown pricing.

I travel back and forth between New York and ATL and prefer Midtown Hair Studio over New York Salons any day.

I was somewhat skeptical of going to Midtown Hair Studio because of the reviews on this page. However, I went recently and had a great experience. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable. I got a great haircut and really felt comfortable there. I will definitely be going back.

I Just got a touch up and they use a very good product called nairobi. The relaxer didnt burn at all. The stylist I went to was Donna and she was very professional and clean. I would definitely recommend this shop.

PROS: Good results of relaxer and great cut
CONS: Little pricey for relaxer but what do you expect in midtown. $65

I have long hair and usually only get a trim to keep my ends healthy, so I figured I don't need to shell out for high-end salon haircuts. How difficult it is to cut off an inch or two and leave the hair even, for someone who calls herself "master stylist"? Judging by the choppy ends I saw in the mirror afterwards, with some locks being obviously longer than others, quite difficult. I ended up paying double and going to another place later to even it out. In addition, the woman cutting hair of a client next to me accidentally dropped all her hair clips on the dirty floor.. picked them up, and proceeded using them in her client's hair without bothering to clean them! Ugh. Your neighbourhood's Supercuts would probably do a better job, or just buy a pair of scissors and DIY.

PROS:
CONS: Unsanitary, botched basic trim, overpriced, unprofessional
