I would highly reccomend Dr. T. And CCREI. I am so fortunate that he IS the only fertility specialist in Columbus, or I might not have gotten the best service. After a series of ovary stimulation and trying naturally with monitoring, we tried a series of cycles of IUI, to where Dr. T. Said that statistically it would be less beneficial to continue, and suggested IVF. He detected symptoms of endometriosis, until the I had "unexplained infertility," and he did my surgery. He was very professional yet sensitive and was very careful and thorough with my surgery. I ended up taking the summer off to rest, planning to start IVF in the Fall, and conceived naturally! We will be coming back to this office to seek his advice as we look at having more children. Dr. T. Is a great doctor and I trust him because 1) he is professional; 2) his knowledge is clear; 3) he does what is in the best interests of the health of the mother and baby; 4) he does not push treatment to financially benefit himself. On top of that, the staff is warm and personable. When you are the only office in town, you can't possibly please everyone, but unfortunately only the handful of negative posters are on here. I can match that number with people I know personally who have had a wonderful experience with Dr. T., and his team.

I am new to Dr. T office. I am sorry for the other women who have had a bad deal with him. So far, my experience is been helpful and informative. No I am not a member of his staff. I live in Atlanta where there are several RE's available. However, Dr. T is the only RE that accepts PCOS patients who are considered obese or just cannot meet the weight requirements.

I begin my first round of IVF this October. I am nervous and yes this process can be expensive. But anything that I have asked Dr. T or the nurses have been answered. Some of the ladies are extremely pleassant and some are cordial. I am have never had a problem with either of the sort.

Lastly if Dr. T is concerned with his live birth rates, so am I. The more live birth rates, the better the clinic.

Thank you to Go to Atlanta and Be Careful!!!! Not Board Certified....I went to see Dr. T and had the most horrible experience, to say that he and his staff were not empathetic or sensitive is an understatement. I have been seeing doctors else where including ATL. These comments have made me realize that I was not totally alone in my experience with this office. I cannot understand why this is the only RE in the Columbus area or why they dont offer counseling. At the very least the entire staff needs sensitivety training. An example...the nurse was taking my blood and because of the tests every week from another RE before going to Dr. T my veins were dead they could barely get blood, the nurse commences to say well I hope that you can get use to this because youll be giving blood a lot in tone that most wouldnt of gave to a dog. Needless to say after 2-3 other negative interactions over various issues we started seeing other doctors that were none local. It is a shame that the only RE and staff here that deals with infertility in Columbus is like this....it says a lot when youd rather drive hour and a half one way to see another one. Love to talk to these other women(or any others local) and form a support group for infertility which is local here in Columbus, Georgia.

Columbus, Georgia, NEEDS some additional competition in this town regarding R.E.s. Why is there only ONE Reproductive Endocronoligist to choose from? The one R.E. that Columbus has settle for is Dr. T. Like many other women in Columbus that has dealt with infertility, we walked away from Dr. T's office disappointed, frustrated, heart broken, and not to mention, in debt. I had been going to Dr. T for two years and would hang off of his every word. He would continously contradict himself leaving me even more confused with each visit. He seemed more interested in his success rates, than in the emotional or physical well being of his patients. There is no counselor on staff or even a referral to a counselor mentioned. At the very least, Dr. T seriously needs to practice his thearapeutic communication. His go to response, "I know this must be hard for you," was so obviously disingenuous and robotic. Additionally, Dr. T never did remember my name or pronounce it correctly (believe me, its not a hard one to master), still after two years! The complaints I have listed are really just the most superficial. If you don't believe this posting, just ask around, and I will guarantee you that there are SEVERAL women in Columbus that will attest to my statements. If you are reading this, and are searching for a doctor to help you with your infertility journey, spend the time and make the effort to travel to Atlanta. Don't do what I did and waste too much time with Dr. T's practice.

I have just started going to this practice (first cycle), and have to say that I am in awe of their clinic. The staff is always, always, friendly and caring. They are eager to answer any questions and concerns that you may have and are willing to take the extra time. They have quite a few patients to shuffle through in the mornings and they are swift and professional and alway work as a team. I have gone through treatment before with a different doctor and did not receive this quality of care. I consider myself very fortunate to be able to receive treatment from this group of exceptional individuals. Whether I get pregnant or not I will always feel that I received quality care. Thankyou Dr. Thiruppathi and staff!

First, let me express my sincere sympathy to the previous writer??s situation. However, after reading her review, I had to respond. Unfortunately, infertility is extremely expensive. Most insurance companies consider this type of treatment ??cosmetic?. In the eight years I have been with the Columbus Center for Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility, I have seen more and more insurances begin to cover treatment, however it is usually still costly in the end for the patient, whether is be their deductive or monthly premiums. The safety and welfare is always our highest concern when treating patients. Hypsterstimulation is a side-effect when using fertility medications. We try to compensate for this my monitoring the patient very closely. However, a patient can still hyperstimulate even with releasing one egg. In the eight years, I have never seen Dr. Thiruppathi advise a patient to continue treatment if a patient was about to release 12 eggs. It would not be in the best interest of the patient, due to hyperstimulation. When a patient becomes pregnant with triplets or higher, Dr. Thiruppathi always advises the patient to seek a consultation with a Perinatologist, who specializes in multiples pregnancies and high risk pregnancies. The patient must be informed of the risks of trying to carry all babies to term, not only to the babies but to the mother as well. Once the patient understands these risks, then the choice is ultimately theirs. We will then try to find the best doctors to care for babies and the mother. Congestive heart failure is not a result of hyperstimulation, but can be due to the stress the pregnancy put on the mother during pregnancy. Again, it is unfortunate that her situation was that extreme. Finally, Dr. Thiruppathi became a board certified physician with the American Board of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (ABOG) in July 1999 and continues to be board certified to this date.

Over the past eight years, I have seen countless women walk through these doors, almost to the point of severe depression and will to throw in the towel on ever have a baby. Our rates do speak for themselves at 70% where national average is a mere 42%. I have a very rewarding job, especially when the parents come back wanting to take a picture of all of us with their baby. The amount of ??thank you? cards we have received over the years makes working on the weekends and holidays all worth it. I couldn??t think of a better place or a better man to work for.

What a horrible experience! I desperately wanted to become pregnant and went to Dr. T for infertility treatment. After spending thousands of dollars I did conceive triplets after he allowed me to release 12 eggs. He became upset when I refused to selectively reduce. The drugs caused me to hyperstimulate and I ultimately ending up having congestive heart failure requiring a pacemaker. None of my babies survived and I am left with heart problems and debt by this non board certified physician. In my opinion his main objective is to make his numbers high without considering the health of his patients. It is well worth the drive to Atlanta.
