I took my wife there recently for an eye exam. They took our Cigna insurance card and went through the motions of confirming coverage. But when it came time to pay, the charge was $89.95. I asked about the insurance coverage and was told we had "$5.00 off."

Never again.

I was a little surprised by reading these reviews. I've been going to this office for about three years and have never experienced any of these things. I love the Dr. He is very sweet and takes a plenty of time to explain everything in detail. You can tell that he loves his occupation. I like the girls up front, too. They don't seem irresponsible to me. The whole time I'm there they are running around helping customers with frames, filling orders, answering the phone, sending faxes, etc. I have had some HORRIBLE experiences with eye doctors and some of them were the creme de la creme of optometry- I've worn glasses since I was about 7 yrs old. This is one of the best places I've gone to.

I believe that the postitive comment was probably written by an employee. Let me tell you about my experience, similar to what I have found on other Complaint sites about Pearl in general: I visited the store several times to choose new frames and also got a price on the exact frames and lenses. When I was sure I wanted to make the purchase I went back and told them to place the order, they gave me my 1 inch by 1 inch receipt, but I didn't notice I had been over charged until I got home and compared the price with what I KNEW had previously been quoted. I immediately called the next business morning and told the sales clerk that I had been over charged and to cancel my order (which had never been placed) and I would come back and we could redo the transaction. She said they cannot void out transactions because it is their policy to never give refunds. I told her I had not received a product to get a refund on and they don't have my lense prescription to complete the order. It was an overcharge, but she said the "money belongs to Pearl now and we can't issue a refund" her words exactly. I asked to speak with the manager and never got a call back, this was Sept. it is now Nov. (I called severl times after that and each time my call was screened by an associate, I also sent them a letter) That same night the clerk called me she said she had the manager on the "other phone", and was relaying my conversation to her. The manager told her the same thing, (according to the clerk) that I cannot get my money back even if there is a mistake. Again, that was Sept. it is now Nov. and still no return phone calls. I contacted Pearl Corp. but because it is a franchise they cannot do anything about the situation. The franchise owner of Woodstock is a doctor with 10 other locations. I would not use this location, or any Pearl center. Other complaints talk about bad lenses and Pearl not standing behind their product.

I am a dedicated customer of Peale Vision in Woodstock Ga. I have had some issues lately as well, but they always take care of me. I understand that they have a new supplier and it's been a real hassle for them and there customers, however they are rectifying the situation and I stand strong with them because I have been a customer for many years! I love the staff, they're very sincere and I will forever be a Pearle Vision customer.

I have had nothing but problems at this Woodstock location. The younger girls that work there are very irresponsible. They don't call you back when they say they will. We have waited almost two weeks for my husbands contacts to come in and they still haven't called. We have called several times and they keep saying they aren't in. It's unfortunate because we really like the Dr. that works there but I can't stand the office help. We will not use them again for our eye care needs.
