Since 1974, Alfredo's has created the sights, sounds, smells and particularly the tastes of Italy by offering patrons authentic Italian cuisine. A well-loved dining tradition in Atlanta, Alfredo's welcomes loyal devotees as well as new clientele to sample their new specialties. Try our popular veal dishes like: "The Godfather," a fabulous treat of veal prepared in three different styles or pastas and fresh seafood such as Linguine Pescatore, a combination of mussels, clams, shrimp and calamari in a light tomato sauce over pasta. Alfredo's boasts delicious homemade desserts, cocktails and has an extensive list of domestic and imported wines. Changes at this Atlanta landmark mean only a natural evolution of the finest in Italian cooking.
We've dined at Alfredo's for more than 10 years now, and its food and service never disappoint us. The atmosphere is comfortable, but you see everything from formal dress to jeans. Our favorite dishes include salmon portabella, shrimp or squid Fra Diablo, scallops pesto, lobster ravioli (when available) and tiramisu. The house wines are good, but they also have an extensive wine list. It's a great value and we look forward to our visits there. We've known many of the servers there for 10 years. You MUST have reservations on Fri. and Sat. nights, which is a testament to Alfredo's enduring popularity.

My boyfriend and I went to Alfredo's this past Saturday night for dinner. We chose this restaurant because of the 4 and a half star rating on yelp and great reviews that we read.
We made a reservation, arrived a bit early and got a drink at the bar. I was surprised by the 70's, dungeon-esque atmosphere as the place has no windows but was looking forward to the yummy Italian food that everyone seemed to be raving about.
We were seated fairly quickly and before our reservation time. Our water glasses were filled and we tried the garlic bread and pickled veggies. I don't know why everyone loves the garlic bread. It tasted like the frozen garlic texas toast you can buy at the grocery store...
Our waiter came by, we ordered a carafe of wine and calamari along with our entrees. He disappears and we don't see him for another 30-40 minutes. No wine or appetizer. A food runner comes by with our entrees. We ask him to get our waiter for us. We watch him walk over to the waiter, filling the glasses of another table with wine, and see him tell the waiter our request. Our waiter looks at us then proceeds to disappear for another 10 minutes. The next time we see him, he is laughing and talking with another table. At this point the host comes by and asks us if everything is ok. We told him that it was not and explained the situation. He asks us if we would like him to take away our entrees and bring the wine and appetizers...?! At this point we had been sitting there for close to an hour. He then goes and tells our waiter what was happening and the waiter walks away again!! Didn't seem to care one bit. We said we wanted to leave and all the host did was throw his hands up and say he was sorry.
AMAZED at the horrible service especially when we were so looking forward to the food.
Pros: ???
Cons: service and decor

This was our first time at this resturant. We brought our 3yr old daughter who sometimes has trouble sitting still. They talked and played with her and even gave her a free whipped cream cookie desert! The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was very nice with really low lighting. We will definatley go back again and again!
Pros: Very friendly service

Had been here many times and loved it. Went back to Alfredo's with a group of 9 this time (we often have a large group so that was nothing new) and the service was beyond bad - I'd have to call it rude and mean spirited. It took 40 minutes to take the order as the waiter kept ignoring us to tend to smaller groups first. He threw the food at us, spoke rudely to members of our group and even yelled at us. If you look at the dates on the reviews here like I have, you will see a pattern growing of a great restaurant that is going bad. Most of the more recent reviews seem to be about the service. Hope they turn it around. There's another good Italian restaurant just down the block that I'm going to next time.
Pros: Food
Cons: Service

My wife and I decided to take a friend of ours out for Italian tonight. For years I ate at Alfredo's. But I had several bad experiences there and quit going.
Why I decided to try them again I don't know. Best I can say is maybe they are "h*t or miss." This place used to be GREAT. My friend's food (he is Italian and loves to eat) was a disaster. It was hot and cold. He says they sprinkled some items on top and expected the sauce to heat them up. He gave me a clam and a piece of calamari and they were both stone cold.
Simple advice, if you are not a regular there, JUST DON'T DO IT!!!! If you are a regular there tell the establishment the truth. They need to know.
Pros: Can't think of any
Cons: Terrible location, service & food

Try not to fill up on the generous amounts of garlic bread and antipasti they start you off on. Everything here is excellent, from the appetizers (escargot is excellent) and pastas to the veal, chicken, and seafood dishes, to the filet mignon. They have a good wine list, but the house wines are all pretty palatable and cheap. AMAZING service and dark, cozy atmosphere.
Pros: Excellent food and atmosphere
Cons: Sometimes crowded, reservations not honored

Alfredo's is consistently good. Some might not care for the decor but its actually very cozy - in a "take me back a few decades" sort of way.
Pros: Good Food, Friendly Service
Cons: ?

Overpriced. Bad food. Overbearing waiter. NOT authentic italian.
Went there on New Years Eve--didn't know it was some sort of special occasion there.
Close your eyes and picture this: dimly lit place. old couples. fur coats. poofy bangs. stuffy feeling. aquarium behind bar. hasn't changed one iota since 1983....Sounds cool, right?
But not so cool. Culinary letdown.
After you are finally seated (long lines) you get a small plate full of soggy vegetables that have been resting in water for probably about a week. The garlic bread that people say is soooooooo good, is just garlic bread, with a lot of garlic and butter. nothing impressive.
The sweaty waiter makes jokes...more jokes....go away please...his father owns the place....
I order my food. I look across at the grim lady preparing the checks in the doorless office filled with pictures of washed up celebrities who must come prepared with an autographed headshot of themselves at every restaurant they come to.
I get my food, goat cheese ravioli. sitting in-- tomato water. Yumm. I mean, ITS BAD. I was really hungry and couldn't down this shit...it tasted legitimately bad. and i love pasta. and i love goat cheese. and i love tomatos.
I was hoping that this place was at least authentic...like authentic italian food with a cheesy atmosphere. But its not authentic at all. Yes the owners are Italian, no they can't cook. its for people who "just loooooove this place" and so they bring the whole family along, but they never stop and question whether its really that good. Which it just isn't.
I just wanted to get out of there by the end. out out out...BUT I couldn't bc I first had to pay 20 dollars...SERIOUSLY THE MOST OVERPRICED BAD FOOD I"VE EVER EATEN
Pros: leaving
Cons: overpriced

I was really dissapointed with the food and the service. Nothing much to say. I wouldn't recommend it.
Pros: None
Cons: Terrible experience

The person below, you obviously don't know what good food and service is. I guess you think of Olive Garden is authentic italian food. This place has been here this long because they are in fact fantastic! If you want something fast and quick, then I suggest going to Fazolis. Or maybe stay home and cook a can of Chef Boy'ardee. This place doesn't rush you, as me and my family like. They wine and dine you. It's the food, the experience, and the atomosphere that makes this place wonderful!
Pros: Always wonderful! Food is fantastic!
Cons: Nothing negative here!

I love this place if only for the scenery; truly like being an extra on the set of The Sopranos...."woke up this morning, got myself a gun."
The decor is a hoot and probably original to the 1950s, as are some of the patrons. Not a window in the place - perhaps it's the casino "they'll spend more if they can't tell what time it is" theory or maybe it's to keep you from escaping once they've realized you're behind on your payments on that loan you took out from the owner to pay your gambling debts.
I tell ya, the naugahyde on these booths has seen more action than Lindsay Lohan and you'd swear Frank Sinatra was singing in the lounge instead of just playing through the 30-year-old speakers.
Oh, and the food, right, the food - it's delicious and authentic (although my Italian mama disagreed, but she doesn't like anything, so take it with a grain of Parmesan). The mussles are amazing and I seriously wanted to drink the juice they were swimming in directly from a wine glass - it was THAT good.
Your waiter is bound to be named Luigi or Mario - just roll with it and enjoy the most excellent pizon watching this side of the Atlantic. Hey is that guy getting rubbed out in the corner? Ciao bella!
Honestly, could I throw in one more Italian stereoptype? I can, cuz I am.
Pros: food, atmosphere, people-watching
Cons: dark room

I have to agree with the last 2 rewiews. Was told by a fellow employee that alot of there food indeed comes out of a can. Also a long time waiter cursed at us in latino, being ignorant to the fact that we undersood what he was saying. I could go on and on, so lets just say we will not be back.
Pros: convinient
Cons: Tony

Use to be great... goin down hill fast...We miss Mikey the bar keep. It seems like they do not care about customer service anymore. Waitstaff needs to be more professional. Something just doesn't seem right.
Pros: HHHMMM?
Cons: Waitstaff
Posted 11/15/08
The service was great, the ambiance was comfortable and cozy, but the food was average. Would I go back there, yes, if I had to, but it would not be my first choice. Some of the food seemed to be prepared fresh and others seemed to have been dumped out of a can with little preparation.
Pros: ambiance, parking service
Cons: taste, authenticity

We drivie 100 miles from Macon to have dinner here with owner Perry Alvarez, 2nd in command Filipe, and Tony (our 'own' waiter) for about six years now dozens of times give or take a few. We are those regular customers others like to complain about. SORRY guys. It's great - so get in line - right behind us : )
We fell in love with Alfredos first time we went... just as they opened at 5PM... one of the waiters was in the process of blessing the building with a frying pan sizzeling with olive oll & garlic as he walked it throughout the entire restaurant in the form of a cross.
We give the pickeled vinegar hors d'oeuvres & hot garlic bread a well-deserved two thumbs up. Love the Cesar salad: just the right amt of seasoning. The Veal Francese is my favorite and my wife orders sea bass with champagne sause, Veal Marsala, or Veal Parmesan - THE BEST VEAL ON PLANET EARTH - one person's opinion. The house red & white wines are all we ever order - great. The simple black coffee after the meal is the best coffee I ever have and it goes great with a world-class Alfredos home-made cannoli. We spend, on average, about $70. And we don't have to compete with the pony-tailed Porsche and Bentley crowd - THANK GOD - who care more about $300 bottles of wine and chrome and glass mirrors than they do about fabulous food & service at decent prices (that never seem to change).
We also like the fact that this magical restaurant frequently seats 5 generations of a single family while young lovers at a booth on the back wall enjoy the ambiance of the romantic room and a frequent opera or Frank Sinatra tune on the sound system.

p.s. Going again tonight Sunday 6-29-2008. Tony - get ready ! The Prius is full of gas & I'm HUNGRY.
Pros: Excellent food, excellent service, and excellent service (Tony's the best)
Cons: Even though I drive a Prius I still have to spend $25 to get there and back from Macon ! Grrrrrrrrr !!

I felt compelled to post my first message on city search due to the excellent service of George. The rectal attention before dinner set the table for a top notch dinning experience. To fully experience the big O, I recommend bringing your own bottle of wine, as Alfredo's only charges a $15 corking fee. After all, what's another 15 on a $200 bottle retail?
It is vital to make sure your date is not on the doughnut... well .... unless you don't mind shooting your alfredo into an abyss of marinara. That being said, the side of spags and gravy was OK, my footlong sausage and peppers tasted better in her mouth than when I tasted the ever so exclusive "wet cannoli". I don't recommend the stuffed mushrooms, as you won't hallicunate and the hand job between first and second course won't ever be the same............................
Last, avoid sitting next to jaba the hut and friends because the will watch you get a foot job under the table and transpond up your left overs through a jedi like osmosis........
PS - avoid the linguine with beardedclam fuzz
Pros: my date could have been cheaper and acted more like a working girl (Pro duh)
Cons: the salami could of been hidden inside the con, as I am sure he got it in the shower and at night

Went to got eat with my girlfriend this past Saturday. As the guy below wrote, we didn't have much of a service and we were basically waited on by the bus boys. I've been there plenty of times in the past, but everytime for the last 4 times, service has been declining...well this time was my last straw!!!
We saw our waiter maybe a total of four times through the night. It took him at least 10 minutes even before he came to our table to greet us. Our main order was taken by a bus boy. The second time the waiter came was when he saw me putting crushed red pepper on my food to tell me that if I hadn't gone over his head, my meal would have been spicier...which by the way I didn't go over his "head", the bus boy saw us waiting for a while and was good enough to take our order. The third time the waiter came was to drop off the check and take my card...which I mean literally, he didn't even say a word. And the fouth time was to drop off the credit card receipt.
During out meal, NO ONE even check on us to see how the food was or if we needed any refills on our drinks. I had to call a bus boy every time to get a refill.
I looked around and saw our waiter chatting with all the tables around us, but he wouldn't even speak to us. The table next to us was telling us that they've been regulars for years, but they've also noticed a decline in service.
I tried to complain to the Host/Manager, but he didn't want to hear the complaint or rectify anything. All he said was that he was sorry.
I would rather eat at a Sbarro's and get better Italian food than come to this place again.
Cons: No Service, Management isn't concerned with Service

My wife and I went to Alfredo's on Saturday. This is my third time there and most probably my last time. Through the entire night, we only saw our waiter a total of 3 TIMES!!!! Once we were seated by the host, our waiter showed up 10 minutes later and asked us if we were ready to order...didn't even ask us if we needed a drink. We gave him our drink order and then our drinks were delivered by the Host and the host took our order. After that, we didn't see our waiter until we got our check. Someone else delivered our food, which by the way was bland and watery. My wife ordered the Alfredo Pesto and it was drenched in Alfredo sauce with no taste. Our service the entire night was done by the "bus boys". NO ONE even followed up with us after our meal was ordered. After our meal was done, our waiter game back to ask us about dessert. The thing that gets me is that we saw our waiter with the other tables chatting it up and asking them if they needed anything else. He then took my credit card and brought back the receipt...didn't even say a word to us. This is the third time I've recieved service like this. I feel like the "regulars" that go in there get the service, but they care less for new customers.
The first time I went there, I went with a group and we got decent service. So I figured I'd give it a shot again with my wife. At that time, we got the same level of non-service as this time, but hey, I'm all about giving it a second chance. But on our second chance, the service was just as bad. I'd rather go to Olive Garden than give my business to this place.
Pros: None
Cons: No service, especially if you're not a regular.

I was shocked to see any bad reviews of Alfredo's on this site. The decor is a little old and musty, but that only adds to the character of this place. I was pleasantly surprised to find out there is more on Chesire Bridge Road than strip bars and sketchy auto repair joints. When we arrived, we were told the wait would be about 30 minutes. Once we cozied up to the bar, it wasn't an issue at all. The house wine is delicious and relatively inexpensive. When we sat down, we were immediately greeted by an outstanding staff. Our waiter was extremely attentive and polite. And those free antipastos???? Oh man.... don't even get me started. SO GOOD. We ordered the prosciutto e melone. If you have never been to Italy to try this delight - certainly give it a go at Alfredo's. Very refreshing! As for the main course - the lasagna was to die for and my eggplant parmesan was incredible. Overall, Alfredos is worth the wait, and worth the extra money you pay when compared to somewhere like Osteria 832 or Figo. This is authentic Italian and unbeatable service. It's a steal and I will definitely be back with family and friends to make them Alfredo's fans.
Pros: Great service, authentic eats, great wine list
Cons: Smaller restaurant = fewer tables = longer wait

My husband and I dined at Alfredo's a couple nights ago craving a good Italian meal and a romantic night together. After our experience there, I am dumbfounded how Alfredo's is still in business. We started our meal with the cold Antipasto Alfredo's platter, our first mistake. Having both grown up with Italian grandparents (and having ventured to Italy 16 times now), we were looking forward to a plate of imported prosciutto, salami, etc. Nothing of the sort. They brought us a plate of sliced deli meats (probably from the Publix down the street), which were hardly edible. While we were gasping for air over the deli meats, they brought the garlic bread. If you want to experience this garlic bread, walk into any grocery store, walk into the frozen food aisle, and buy a frozen loaf of garlic bread and stick it in your oven for 15 minutes, and magic, Alfredo's! Next, we're onto the entree. I had been itching for Carbonara, my favorite Italian dish. We had called the restaurant beforehand and the "Italian" gentlemen claimed that despite the fact that it's not on the menu, they can make it anytime and it is delicious! Needless to say, they brought me a plate of fettucine alfredo with pancetta. Considering cream is NOT EVEN AN INGREDIENT in Carbonara, I'm still confused where the alfredo sauce came into play. To go back to the definition of Carbonara, "The original recipe from the Italian region of Lazio uses eggs, garlic, parmigiano reggiano, pecorino romano, guanciale (unsmoked pig cheeks), black pepper and extra virgin olive oil.[1] [2] Cream is not an ingredient in this recipe, and it is NOT generally used with pasta in central Italy". Not only was it not what I ordered, it was terrible! I think I ate three bites and let the rest go. Honestly, if you want cheap Italian, try Figo. It is 100 times better for half the price. And guess what, the owner is ACTUALLY from Italy. Imagine that!
Cons: Terrible food. Mediocre service at best.

My bf and I stepped out for dinner at Alfredo's two weeks ago. We were warmly greeted (the same as the "regulars") and seated promptly. We had fried mozzarella for an appetizer and the cheese was very fresh. I had a tortellini filled with meat and covered with a tomato cream sauce. The pasta was so fresh that it melted in my mouth. My bf had the eggplant parmesan and it was also melt in your mouth. The service was very attentive. In fact there was an abundance of waiters so that help was always near if needed. Great experience and romantic atmosphere for adults.

My husband and I went here last night for our wedding anniversary after reading some of the reviews on here. Overall we were pretty impressed. The atmosphere was very romantic. I think there was a slight confusion as to who our waiter was. One took our drink order and then our other server was slightly standoffish. He sort of put a damper on the meal and made us feel like we were an annoyance. I don't know if it was because we weren't regulars or not. The food was pretty good. We had the Fresh Mozzarella Caprese which was good. We also enjoyed the pasta dishes. If they made the pasta there themselves I would give them a 10 in my book otherwise they get a 7. Didn't really care for the garlic bread, Scalinis is better. The Coffee Alfredos was a perfect way to end the meal. We may give them a go again in the future.

This is one of our favorite places in Atlanta. Some reviews cite flavorless sauces? I can't believe we're talking about the same place! We always start with a carafe of house merlot (you cannot go wrong with the house wines), then salad and entrees. The prices haven't gone up in years (which makes me wonder about the complaints on price). It's almost never more than $25-$30 per person with wine. Great for a date or dinner with the parents. Reservations are recommended, and we have never had to wait when we had reservations, even though the line wait was over an hour! We like to show up half an hour early and have a Manhattan (on the rocks) at the bar. This is a restaurant from another age, and is truly one of Atlanta's special spots.
Pros: Ambience, Food, Value
Cons: Parking fills up early, and have to use a sketchy lot next door

The place has clearly been around for a while, but just because it's got longevity doesn't mean it's the best. I went to dinner with my partner the other night and found the place easily enough. We had the stuffed mushrooms, which weren't really stuffed. They looked like hush puppies on top of a thinly sliced mushroom cap. The stuffing was a bit soft, not very crispy. My partner had the house chianti which was OK, but not great. He also had the Veal Marsala, which I would not recommend at all. Marsala sauce is supposed to be thin, lightly sweet, and have you ready to lick the plate clean. This was blandly flavored thick brown gravy with mushrooms. The veal was over floured and the overall dish was very disappointing as this is one of our favorite Italian dinners. It wasn't as greasy as Macaroni Grill's (which is another I'd avoid), but it was just flavorless and unsatisfying.
I had the Shrimp and Scallop Laguria which was very tasty, though the scallops were overcooked, they were a little rubbery. The shrimp were large, butterflied, and very nicely cooked. The pasta portion was also a good amount for the dish and the sauce was much better than the Marsala. I don't think we're going to scratch this off our list yet, it might have been a bad day for the saucier, but I'm not sure I would try the Marsala again.
Pros: ambience, speed of service,
Cons: flavorless sauces

AUTHENTIC CUISINE AT ITS BEST. ALFREDOS HAS BEEN AROUND MANY YEARS THAT SHOULD TELL YOU SOMETHING IN ITSELF.....ALFREDOS STANDS UP TO ITS REPETATION. ITS FAR MOST THE BEST ITALIAN CUISINE IN ATLANTA. I LIKE THE FACT... INGRIEDIENTS SEASONING PREPARED FRESH NOT FROZEN.... THE SERVICE IS GREAT WAITERS ARE COURTEOUS AND PROMPT. OMBIENCE IS NICE FULL OF GREGARIOUS SMILES. THE ONLY SUGGESTION IS LETS MAKE ALFREDOS BIGGER, BUT THEN WHY BREAK TRADITION....

I laughed when I read you can get it cheaper somewhere else. Duh, sure go to pizza hut! After more years than I can remember, We went there again last night. Perry greets and thanks everyone. for coming in. While, I normally order my standard four favorite dinners my wife tries everything including excargot. We have traveled the world and she says they are as good as any restaurant we have dined in. . As far as price goes two dinners, bottle of wine, salads, and one appitizer, less than 60.00 dollars. Add a small cozy restaurant, good service, and no yuppies on cell phones. Is it the best? Not sure but as far as I know the valuve is well worth the trip.

Like everyone else, based on the reputation of Alfredo?s, I was excited to give it a shot. And willing to give it another shot. And another shot. And another shot. Before I finally gave up after giving this restaurant a last shot.
All my dining experiences at Alfredo?s can be summed up in one word: Uninspired. The sauces have been bland, the deserts flavorless, the reservations irrelevant and the service lackadaisical.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me five times, shame on me.
This is a place that, as near as I gather, survives on its reputation, the novelty of which has blinded individuals to the point that they actually believe the place is deserving of it. Perhaps it was spectacular in the beginning, but it is nothing out of the ordinary now. In fact, the only thing that separates it from most every other garden-variety Italian place is its shabby exterior and its length of its existence -- both of which contribute to the ongoing fallacy of its superior product.
Why do people think that just because something has been around for a while makes it worth the trip? It's a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Alfredo's is most certainly not worth its reputation. Trust me. Trust my wife. Trust my parents. Trust my friends. Trust my in-laws.
And the only way for others to recognize that is for people to see through this place, which is surviving on the strength of its undeserved reputation.
Pros: Nothing you can't find somewhere else -- for cheaper
Cons: Survives off of an undeserved reputation

We made reservations for 8 people and were seated shortly after arriving. We did find the restaurant to be small and the restrooms to leave a lot to be desired (no changing table for our baby) but the service and the food MORE Than compensated for that! They start you out with a relish tray that was tasty and unusual. It had olives, pickles and pickled cauliflower. We ordered calamari as an appetizer and it was phenomenal-not chewy at all!! Perfectly cooked with a side of fresh marinara sauce. Then, the awesome bread basket was warm and had garlic breads in it. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and each order was perfect! My husband and I ordered two entrees each (1/2 portions on the same plate) and got to try a lot of different things. By far, the cannelloni was the best thing on the table!!! It was rich and creamy and seasoned perfectly! I am smiling just thinking about it. We also had fettuccine alfredo, lasagna and stuffed shells as well as a pesto chicken dish on the table. All were great and we all had leftovers for lunch the next day:) Highly recommend this restaurant!! We went on a Thursday evening at 6pm and the line was out the door by 6:30pm-be sure to go early and get a reservation!! We can't wait to go back to Atlanta to eat there again.
Pros: Food, food, food!! Service was very good.
Cons: Bathrooms and parking were limited

The food here is amazing, everything was good. We went with a large group and everyone got something different - there was nothing I didn't like. The wait was pretty long though, even with reservations. But the service made up for it.

Time and time again, Alfredo's impresses me. Their garlic bread and escargot is amazing, as is every pasta dish I've tried. The service is impeccable. Ask for the lobster ravioli (it's not on the menu). It's our favorite place to celebrate special occasions because we know we'll be taken care of, with no pretense. Just great Italian food.
Pros: TASTE, Ambience, Parking

after living down the street for 3 years and never getting around to trying this place i moved across town and decided to go a few weeks ago. so delicious I went back the next week and took a guest from new york who was visiting. he also enjoyed it and now it's one of my favorite restaurants. romantic, too. i'm trying to make up for lost time!
Pros: fairly easy parking, great food
Cons: none

Alfredo's is in a class by itself and should be a 10. No matter what night you go the service is the best, the wine prices are the best and the food is the best.
Consistency is the name of their game!!

I don't know where to begin. The food is delicious and authentic. The menu is varied and reasonably priced. The black leather booths are the most comfortable seating I have ever experienced in a restaurant. The dusky decor looks as if it was pulled straight out of New York City or a Scorsese film. As far as service goes. . . PHENOMENAL. From the bar staff to the Maitre d' to the busboys, everyone is pleasant, friendly and accomodating. They really treat you like family, particularly our waiter, Rudy.
As one of the other reviews says, this is definitely a place to go all out. We had a carafe of the house scarlotta and stuffed mushrooms while we perused the menu. For entrees we took Rudy's recommendations and I had the Padrino (veal three ways - which is cut on site by the way) while my date ordered the special of seabass with portabella mushrooms in a buttery white wine sauce (it was unbelievable!). The entrees also include your choice of side pasta. To finish we sipped espressos while sharing a piece of the rocotta cheesecake.
Including the wine, our bill came in at just over $80, which I consider incredible considering the quality of the food and the service. We were so pleased that we left a $20 tip.
I really can't say enough about this restaurant. After just one visit, I feel comfortable saying that this is truly the best Itallian restaurant in Atlanta.
Pros: Food, Service, Ambience
Cons: n/a

If you are looking for great southern Italian food in Atlanta.....look no more! Having moved from NYC, we searched for a place that reminded us of all the wonderful Italian restaurants we loved. We found it at Alfredo's. The food, the atmosphere, the service....all superb! It is the place to go for a wonderful dining experience. Enjoy!

To our disappointment, we did not see any mafia activity. However the food, wine, and atmosphere reminded me of my wild days in Firenze. If you go, ask for Rudy, the Mexican Italian waiter. He knows more about italian food and woman than Don Corleone.
Pros: great service, my date, opera music
Cons: no mafiamosa

This is your old school italian right here. Difficult to eat vegetarian here, and if you're vegan just forget about it. The flavors are rich, heavy, and utterly unapologetic about it. Easily the best Italian I've had here in the ATL. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
Pros: food, service
Cons: not veg-friendly

This is the best Italian in Atlanta! Just make sure that you make a reservation. My girlfriend and I went there a few weeks ago. The food is excellent, the waiters are friendly (and Italian) and the ambiance is great. Don't let the area fool you (strip clubs, sex shops, etc), this place is amazing.
Pros: Food, Service
Cons: Neighborhood

all i have to say is that alfredos is most definitely a true representation of the classic italian cuisine and atmosphere of days of old....a precious feeling of home rediscovered in this little jewel of cheshire bridge road...my boyfriend and i lovingly refer to it as "OUR PLACE"....we're going there this evening to celebrate valentine's day....we visit at least 2-3 times a month...mikey (the bartneder) is always a treat.

Pros: food, drinks, nostalgia
Cons: too many people, have discovered this , jewel

My husband chose to go to Alfredo's one evening hearing that the restaurant had outstanding Italian food, and to the restaurant's credit, the food was extremely good! However, there were a few drawbacks to the place. First, the restaurant is extraordinarily small and VERY crowded. Even with reservations, we still waited for about an hour to be seated. The restaurant is old and established, and thus, I think the staff plays favorites with recurring customers- which I suppose is understandable. Lastly, the decor has not been renovated for about 30 years, so it can feel like going back in time to the 70s. Despite the drawbacks, overall, the food was good, and once we were seated, it was a pleasant experience.
Pros: Food, Food, Food
Cons: Service, Parking, Decor

It is my favorite rest. in Atlanta. It is an authentic atmoshpere with the best food for the price I have ever had. It is the kind of place that when you leave, you know you will be back. I had the veal chop (most expensive thing at $30) and it was truely remarkable. This is an absolute must try!

Alfredos is probably Atlanta's best kept secret, unknown to most tourists, this restaurant is hidden from the tourist invasions, out on Cheshire Bridge Rd. The food is fantastic, HUGE portions, very reasonable prices, and pretty good service. I highly recommend this petit "bistro" over the higher priced Italian restaurants. Also, if its not on the menu, ask them. They have prepared many meals for me that were not listed on their menu.
Pros: great food, personalized service, convenient

I recently moved to altanta and my family was coming for the first time so I really needed to impress them. Alfredo's did this and more. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and the service was fast but not rushed. The food was amazing and my family now raves about Altanta and how much they look forward to coming down and going to Alfredo's again.
Pros: atmosphere inside, food, wait staff

I recently went to Alfredo's Italian restaurant and do not let others fool you, but they are indeed by far the best authentic Italian restaurant in Atlanta. Their prices for the seafood and steak cannot by beat or even matched by any other place in the city. The wine lists are extraordinary. Inside you will eat under candlelight and be served by the best waiters around. The parking lot has been enlarged to accomodate the many patrons that frequent Alfredo's. I reccomend everyone in Atlanta go to Alfredo's at least once because you will not regret it.
Pros: good parking, inexpensive, great food

alfredo's is the best. out of all great dining in atlanta. alfredo's is definitely the best bang for your buck. Rudy(a wonderful waiter there) is the best. He treats everyone as if they are the only customer in the restaraunt. they hand cut their steaks (to order) and will mix blend or customize any order to your liking. It is reasonable and the seafood as well as traditional italian dishes are the best!

I have been wanting to try Alfredos for many years. I finally tried it last Sunday, what a dinner!
The food eas exceptional, as well as the service and the menu selection. Atlanta has far to many chain restaurants, and it was a refreshing change to dine at such a wonderful authentic Italian restaurant. I will be returning for more.
Pros: reasonable
Cons: parking

We come 90 miles (from Macon) to eat at Alfredo's because of two things: 1) the best "real" Italian food at fair prices and 2) the service we receive from a staff that make you feel like family - if not extras in a Felini film! The menu contains entrees under $10.00 w/most $12 to $15. Terrific veal, good bar, romantic & still kid-friendly. Always busy so be sure to call for reservations. Old-fashioned and proud of it, Alfredo's earns my highest recommendation. Bill Trail, Macon, GA, 12/14/02
Pros: Excellent service, ExcellentFoodQuality, Low prices

Hands down this is the best Italian restaurant in all of Atlanta. The food is unsurpassable and the service supurb- be sure to request Tony or Rudy. You won't be dissappointed. The atmosphere is very quaint and cozy. Enjoy!
Pros: best service, most tastful food, big servings
Cons: hole-in-the-wall
