I would not recommend it, and would never go back. I ordered a chicken dish and the meat was entirely gristle and full of tiny BONES! It was the worst meat imaginable, more like the left over parts of carving a chicken that most people

My family is still talking about the fabulous time we had at Bhojanic last week! Came across their web-site while looking for an Indian restaurant to host our daughter's Sweet 16 dinner! They were the perfect choice for our group of 10 (ages 13 - 80), most of whom had never tasted Indian food before. The staff was overly accomodating with our concerns about the spicyness of the food and offered us samples of serveral dishes to help us make our entre selections. I highly recommend the Mango Lassi, Pani Puri, Turkey Kebabs, Lamb Curry, Tilapia and the fabulous Saffron Mango Pistachio Cheesecake!!!! Friendly staff, reasonable prices, beautiful decor (recently updated, I understand), fabulous food, & great atmosphere! What more could you ask for!

A totally different take on Indian cuisine. The tapas and chaats are aboslutely fantastic and the parathas (layered flat bread) are the best you will find anywhere in town. The owners and staff are friendly and accomodating. The kitchen staff comprises quiet but sweet and amiable "aunties" who let their motherly instincts flow in abundance whenever you want to be indulged with some homestyle cooking. They are willing to change things up here and there to accomodate any particular cravings. Those who dislike this place should stick to the likes of Applebees; there is no hope that their minds will ever be broadened or their palates ever get accustomed to a different taste.

Oh, and did I forget to mention the turkey seekh kebabs? That is really what sets this place apart from all other Indian restaurants anywhere in the nation. Also keep an eye out for their daily specials, which keep changing so no two meals at this restaurants are alike. A lot of these items are the brainchildren of superlatively innovative chefs Surender and Archna; so you will probably not find them anywhere else. The waitstaff and barstaff are friendly and cheerful and seem very happy to work there. Most of them have been working there for several years.

Cocktail lovers will relish the lychee martini and the mango mimosa. There's always something there for everybody. Go there with an open mind, not expecting to have a traditional Indian meal; but something different from anything you will find elsewhere. True fusion of a tapas bar environment with homestyle Indian cooking. Great place to hang out with old friends and make new ones, have tasty food and a great time.

The desserts are great; but I wish they would go a little lighter on cardamom. My personal favorites among the desserts are the ras malai and the gulab jamun.

While I do love the food at this restaurant, what really keeps bringing me back is the warmth and friendliness of the owners Purnima and Surender Malhotra (more popularly known as "Auntie" and "Uncle"). It really is like going home to your family for a meal.

Pros: consistently delicious food, great service

Cons: none

In my opinion, this restaurant is an absolute disgrace. When we went there, the staff was rude and unobliging, and the food tastes like its been stored in their basement for 3 weeks. Not to mention that the food they served us was burnt . And we had the honor of smelling the smoke that was billowing out of the kitchen as they were cooking our food. I have never never been so disgustedwith a restaurant in my life. My experience was one of my worst and I will not be returning.

I've been coming to Bhojanic regularly for a while now. The food is just right when you get that craving for food that is spiced a little different from the mundane meals you get everyday in the U.S. It's crazy that some people think the waitstaff is rude here. My significant other and I have sat for hours chatting with servers and the owners, who are truly great folks. The atmosphere is different from most Indian places and they even have great music on select nights. The drinks are great too! Check it out.

Excellent Tapas! The Samosas, Bhojanic Shrimp, Bhojanic Pakora & the Chole Puri are absolutely divine.

I usually get the Thai Platter & it never disappoints! Their Chicken Tikka Masala is consistently delicious & so is every side that I have had. The Bhindi Masala (okra) is my favorite. It will melt in your mouth!

Bhojanic has a friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

Bhojanic is my new favorite Indian Restaurant in Decatur! It is located on Clairmont Rd near the corner of North Decatur Rd close to Emory. It is not far from Atlanta if you are coming from Virginia Highlands, Midtown or Buckhead, but is worth the drive for anyone coming from further away. Their food is amazing and the service is great too. Thalis is a traditional Indian entree platter that allows you to try an assortment of delicous flavors, which I highly recommend!

To call this ??Indian? is insulting to say the least. Creative Loafing picked this as the best Indian?!! That person??s taste buds must have died years ago. I lost all respect for CL??s ??picks??. There is no way this restaurant is ??tasty??. The food was bland. The best thing I can say about the food is ??edible??.
About the rude behavior? it may be just for Indian people. There was no ??hello?? or smile, no nod? not even an acknowledgement. I think if the law had allowed, I may have been refused service. I have heard from many other Indians who were treated badly. So it may just be that someone has issues with Indian people (irony!). If you are a non-Indian who thinks you might be ??cool?? in liking ethnic foods, by all means go to this place and feel the fake coolness. But please do not mention this as your fav Indian place to someone who actually knows what Indian food is. This restaurant is not for people who want good food and/or service. I still don??t know why they are in business. My guess is that you won??t find many Indians at this place. If you are Indian, you might want to go to this place to actually experience the rudeness. It will make you appreciate the other restaurants that you thought had bad service.

This restaurant is so bad that food is not even fresh tasted like days old. The curry spice they use tasted blank. Food was cold when served and the service is just OK. I do not think that indian restaurant in atlanta in general are very low food quality.

A bit spicier than other Indian cuisine in the area. With the thalis, you choose from a rotating selection of meats and veggies. The mango lassi here is tasty. Prices are reasonable.

My wife & I have visited Bhojanic every week, since we discovered it in early Summer. Both of us have eclectic taste, and we enjoy eating out. Besides the food, which I think is the best Indian food in Atlanta, I like the service, that it is clean, the environment is comfortable (they had live jazz music last Friday, unsure of the day) and incredible value. By value I mean great quality food, good proportion at a great price. I really like restaurants that provide good value, and there aren't many that do. Either the food is mediocre or the price is too high.

This is a different type of Indian experience in Decatur: it's pretty and hip, as opposed to the many ugly-yet-yummy places a bit further east. However, we had a nice meal there: thalis are recommended.

The ratings appear articially inflated. It is impossible that all indian restaurants have a rating of 4 or 4.5 on 5 and when you visit them, you have the most disastrous experience. The ratings are inflated by restaurant owner and their family who post extremely positive reviews. The result is that all Indian restaurants in atlanta end up having a rating of 4 or 5.
Pl use discretion and word of mouth to visit any Indian restaurant because the ratings are false.

I hope you have a wonderful experience experimenting with indian food.

This place does not represent the true essence of Indian food. Yes, I know the name of the restaurant has "Fusion" in it, but I really didn't see anything on the menu that had a fusion twist to it. The menu basically offers mostly Indian food with an occasional American item such as cheesecake. The naan (bread) was very dry and looked like it was store bought. The desserts were TERRIBLE! We ordered the strawberry cake which was extremely dry and the tiramisu, which did not represent tiramisu at all. Overall the food is decent with a few awful items, but way over priced for the amount that you get. There are plenty of other Indian restaurants in Atlanta that offer better tasting food and at a much better price. The owner also seems like a bit of a flake. I took one of her cooking classes and she really does NOT know what she is doing. She also showed up 20 minutes late to teach the class, and kept talking about her restaurant the entire time! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I get the feeling this place has some backwards and very greedy owners.

I started coming to Bhojanic several months ago. It was only my 2nd or 3rd time trying Indian food. I am now in love with Indian food and especially to Bhojanic's take on Indian food and tapas. It's a far far cry from traditional Indian restaurants with lunch buffets trying to pass themselves off as a fine dining restaurant. The atmosphere is fun and hip and you can find live blues and jazz several nights of the week. The owners and management make sure you feel welcome and your experience wasn't anything less then amazing.

(And to answer to the slanderous and libelous remarks made below: The all you can eat tapas is PER PERSON just like a buffet is PER PERSON. I can tell you from first hand accounts and my own conversations with the owners, staff and management at no time did any of those things occur. I happened to be at the restaurent during TWO of those nights. So to anyone who is turned off by those comments, please ignore them. They are obviously written by people who are either in competition with Bhojanic or just jealous of their success. Hopefully someone will educate them about defamation, slander and libel.)

Pros: Everything

Cons: In a growing phase, doubled the size of restaurant but not size of kitchen which has its drawbacks when it's really busy however that will change soon I am told.

This place is wonderful.. There is soo much to say about it. The food is amazing! i recommend doing tapas, because you get to try different dishes and experience different flavors. I go here about twice a month and always try to bring a friend to try it out. The service is wonderful! It seems like all of the employees really enjoy working there, making the experience even that much better. Also, I love how the place actually has an atmoshpere! Try going on a night with music, you will just love it. Oh, and the Guava Martini is my favorite!

Decided to check this place out on a recommendation of a friend who had been at this place a year back..
Bad Choice. Food was served cold after a real long wait. Meat seemed to be cooked in a rush. Had a very peculiar taste.
They half-heartedly apologized and did not even try to comp off the specific item!
Please order bottled water since the water was not clean or maybe the problem was with the dirty glasses.
Restroom was dirtier than a gas station restroom!
Avoid this place!

Been a regular to this place since past few years and the place has deteriorated since last one year, especially after they remodeled the place and came up with racial rules!
Patrons beware that the good reviews made sense a year back and now its a place simple without a soul. What a pity!!
Reasons: The Owner introduced some weird rule that if you order tapas(unlimited sampler - meat and vegetables, bread cooked Indian style, with various sauces) your companion on the same table needs to order tapas!! That is such a cruel joke. Not sure whether this rule is targetted to only particular community or skin color, but please feel free to experience it, if you really like getting humiliated.
Had been a loyal patron for almost 3 years, and this is how I was treated when I go there with a date!
Needless to say my date was highly embarrassed and my friends and I have decided to stop visiting this restaurant.

I happened to be there on a regular Tuesday night ( when the crowds are usually manageable). The service was really pathetic..Most of the tables were empty and I had to wait for around 5 minutes to get seated! After getting a table my order took almost 20 minutes to come up and it was regular Indian Thali ( an assorted Indian vegetables and meat dish which usually takes 5-10 minutes max in any other restaurant i have been, since it has been already prepared and just has to be served)
When I asked them casually about the delay they told me that I could leave , if required!! Either the server had a very rough day or this place is in the pits!!
When I asked for the manager , the server said that the manager would care any less!!
Not worth the humiliation..what if I had my date with me?? It was a total disaster.
I will stay a mile away from this place.

What if you go to a restaurant with your friend on a Tapas Night on a thursday and you happen to order a thali and your partner order tapas? Sounds Normal..Not to the owner of this restaurant!
I was told by the waitress that either both or none should order tapas...I was shocked as much as you are reading this review.
I asked her what made them come up with such a absurd rule and she explained that People tend to eat from each others plate when one order tapas!! She seemed to be helpless and was just following the rule made by her unbelievably absurd and narrow minded restaurant onwer.
This used to be one of the nice places to hang out until the owner of the restaurant got too hungry for money and decided to come up with this highly absurd rule.
A lot of my friends too complained about it and have since then stopped visiting this place.
Not sure whether to blame the owner's cultural upbringing where he was probably surrounded by crooks or it is simple greed.Either ways the restaurant is a strict no for me and lot of my friends.
I sincerely hope that the owner reads this and rectifies his mistakes.

Wow, you just cannot beat the mouth watering, affordable tasty Indian food at Bhojanic - me and my friends love the restaurant and I highly recommend buying gift certificates for friends and family as Xmas gifts - they will thank you for it! If you want to hold a dinner party at home or arrange a birthday party or any other occasion - Bhojanic can handle all your needs and requests. I love Archna - the high energy and friendly owner, she is professional and was very helpful with her suggestions for my party - her attention to detail is extraordinary! Her staff are friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure excellent customer service. I am an Indian from England and feel very much at home with food like this. You have got to go... oh and do try their signature 'Lychee Martini' - to die for..... :)

The food awesome and very flavorful. Went for lunch and received a good amount of food for the price. Highly recommended only problem was only one server working 10 tables but he did a great job considering.

I have no idea why someone would give this place a bad review. The food here is described as Indian tapas and basically it is Northern Indian food. It was described to me as also being alot of "street" food or food you would get from small carts or vendors in that region. They also have entree plates that looked awesome. Very, very different from the usual Southern vegetarian food that is all around Decatur. Here you have choices of meat and veggies. The family who owns this place is very nice with the parents doing some of the cooking and the adult kids running the front of the house. I went on a Wed. night and they had some live music that was great and not too loud. Great mix of people too!! You have some Indian families and some young people from Emory and your typical Decatur crowd. Pretty good service considering the place was full. I will be going back to this great little spot.

Pros: Great take on Northern Indian food

Cons: Can get packed on Wed.

I didn't think this place was so great - not a very extensive menu (for an Indian restaurant). Average food and poor service. I tried this place when it first opened and thought that maybe they had such a limited menu/bad service because they were brand new (that was several years ago), but it's still the same.

I went with friends to check out the $12 all-you-can-tapas on Thursday nights. The selections are limited but still very good. One friend ordered the special and I tried some other tapas. The portions are larger than your average tapas size. My favorites were the Roti Canai, the Seekh Kebabs, & the Bhei Puri. The flavors were strong & spicy. For dessert we chose the saffron cardommon cheesecake - it was a little heavy for cheesecake and we couldn't really taste the spices. Service was ok but waitress needed more training. Felt rushed and kept wanting to take the plates away when we were clearly still eating. There were several empty tables around so we didn't understand the rush. Waitress also reached over the table a lot during our conversations w/o any apologies. The other servers were great though. We would definitely return and probably try the $2 tapas on Tuesday nights. By the way, they don't take reservations.

I went on a Friday night, and they had live jazz, which was very good. It wasn't too loud either. The food was great! I'm vegan, so they had a good amount of options for me. The nan bread is average tasting but still good. The service was excellent. Guava martini is a bit sweet - don't think they put enough alcohol in it. There is a parking lot in the shopping plaza the restaurant is at, but it was full when I got there, but eventually found someone who left. Overall, great experience!

For a change, there is an Indian restaurant that serves yummy and authentic Indian food that doesn't make you feel guilty of consuming 300 gms of oil and saturated fats in one night.
From appetizers to the main course (thali) - this place is the best in ATL.

My husband and I went for the first time on Friday night. The restaurant was crowded but we were seated immediately. A great live band played a fusion of what seemed to be Indian and jazz music. The tapas are definitely the way to go, especially the roasted eggplant and corncakes. Our server was right-on with his shiraz recommendation, and the other staff was extremely friendly and helpful as well. We'll definitely return soon!
