I continue to use Dr. Bullard despite reservations

by PJ P.

I've used Dr. Bullard's practice for many years. There is a frequent turn over of the medical staff (not so with the office staff). This makes it hit and miss. Several of the "other" doctors over the years have been quite excellent. I can't say the same always of Dr. Bullard himself. I, like a previous reviewer, have had issues with giving medications (mostly Kennel Cough) that are specificially noted on my animals charts and that I have expressly instructed him not to give. I do not like that they sometimes take them to another room for care. I have, however, continued to use the practice. I went through much more serious problems at two other vets (one cost me $1000 at an emergency facility and the other cost the life of my dog) so I just make a point of staying ACTIVELY involved in the visit and in treatment/prevention decisions.

Bullard Gary Dvm - Bullard Animal clinic IS THE BEST VET IN TOWN!!

by Denise L.

This place is great. I drive across town to use Bullard AC. My dog has bad hips. When I take her to get a bath somewhere else she comes back exhausted for several days and in a bad mood. When I take her to Dr. Bullard office,She comes back feeling great and in a great mood. I thought the flood had taken Dr. Bullard under, but I just called his office and it is up and running. I need this place. Thank God ya'll are OK. I do recommend them to anyone who wants a good experience at vet. office. The staff is kind. I just could go on and on about how I love this place. I have had animals all my life mostly dogs. Dr. Bullard office is who I will patron.

Bullard Gary Dvm - Bullard Animal Hospital is Awesome!!!

by Marilyn N.

I love Dr. Bullard's office. He has taken care of all of my pets. The vets and the sstaff are great. They go above an beyond when it comes to the care of the animal. I have a teacup yorkie now and she is like a baby. She thinks that they are part of our family. I don't know what I would do if they were not there to take care of my animals.

Not so friendly service!

by Huey H.

I took both my dogs, male and female, in to see Dr. Bullard and had a terrible experience at his clinic. I took my female in 3 months prior for her yearly vaccinations. And when I did all she received was 4-5 yearly vaccinations. So when I set up the appointment recently for both dogs I explicitly told the receptionist that the female only needed her heart worm exam and the male needed only his yearly vaccinations. I showed up and went into the exam room with a staff member (I know now to be Dr Bullard). After his unsuccessful attempt to draw blood from the female dog for her for heart worm test he took both dogs into another room. When he came back he gave the male his yearly vaccinations. I took both dogs to the front desk to check out and payed my bill of 167 dollars and some change. After wrestling both dogs back home I checked my bill and realized that he had charged me to for two heart worm tests. That evening I called back to the office and spoke with the receptionist and explained to her my concern of the overcharge. Right off the bat the young lady at the receptionist desk gave me attitude over the phone. She explained to me that Dr. Bullard would have to call me himself. Dr Bullard finally called me 2 days later on Wednesday evening. The first words out of his mouth were in a very defensive tone. Without even letting me tell him which dog I was talking about he told me very defensively that I was right there in the room with him and that I saw and knew exactly what he was doing. Furthermore he explained in a rude fashion that he's not a mind reader and does not know what to do to my dog unless I tell him. Safe to say I will not be visiting his clinic again and I do not recommend his office to anyone!!

Bullard Gary Dvm - Bullard Animal Hospital is the best.

by Michelle M.

When I was a little girl, my parents always took our family pets to Dr. Bullard for everything from checkups to boarding during our family vacations. Now that I am a mother of two boys with family pets, I still drive from Douglasville to Austell to take my pets to Dr. Bullard's office. The doctors at this office care about your pets and about you. I wouldn't trust the care of my pets to anyone else.

Very nice place for your animals

by One T.

I have two huge cats. They've received every single vaccine and care for 5 years in a row. Not only the place is good, but they offer affordable prices and great care for your furry friends. I've had the opportunity to meet every Dr. there and I already know who to ask for when I visit the clinic. Dr. Aiken is awesome with cats, and he will have a good chemistry even with the most sensitive animal.
The clinic is clean but running small. I believe a expansion-renovation will be a plus.

I am glad I found them

by Denise F.

When we adopted a wild kitten it was not walking straight. We were trying to treat it at home for ear mites. After a week and a half a sore had developed on his head like he had gotten shot with a pellet gun. I knew it had gotten beyond what I could do so I got in the car and started driving looking for a vet. Not being that familiar with the area I drove around and then found Bullard. They knew what was wrong as soon as they saw him. A wolf worm was growing under his skin on his head! Yuck. They removed it and gave him antibiotics and he was on the mend. Since then I have discovered other vets in the area but will not go to any other.

Emergency trip

by Jenny S. | insider Insider | Rank: 18,868

When my former Basset puppy was spayed, she wound up with her incision bursting and becoming infected. During off hours for my regular vet, I was directed to this location for emergencies. When I arrived they were attentive, gentle and straightforward. It was a bit pricy, but the care was evident. I would certainly go back for emergencies with any other pets.

average to not-so-good experience

by ann h.

ive taken my dog there due to location but it is ALWAYS crowded and actually the girls at the front desk have not been overly friendly. i also dont like how instead of giving shots, etc to your dog while you are there, they take them and do most things out back. my dog whom is very attached to me, was already very scared and then i couldn't be with her to have her nails clipped (which they brought her back with nails bleeding all over the floor) or her shots given.

Bullard is Awesome!!

by Danielle B.

I have owned many pets in my life and have traveled to many different vets before the first time we dealt with the wonderful people here. Ashley at the front desk is so kind and helpful, and we will never ever take our animals anywhere else.

There is no better Veterinarians in the West Atlanta Area.

Bullard Animal Hospital Represents the best in the industry

by Karen T.

We have used Dr. Bullard for all of our pets for over 20 years. His good reputation has been well earned. He is by far the best and most knowledgeable vet in our area. We are pet people, so we have taken almost everything imaginable to him, and without exception, our animals have received the very best care. His staff members exhibit the very best in customer service. Choosing to take your pet to Bullard Animal Clinic is a decision you will not regret.

Sincerely,

Steve and Karen Thompson

EXCELLENT STAFF

by Anonymous

Bullard is the best vet we've been to as far as price, attitude and service. We adopted a kitten from the shelter after losing our dogs and it got very sick. The first vet we went to (who will remain unnamed) told us he most likely had rabies and that we should put him down! Luckily for the cat, we got a second opinion. At Bullard, we were reassured that many cats get respiratory infections from the shelter. We later adopted a puppy and we take both animals all the way to Austell because we love Bullard so much!

They are the BEST

by Mary O.

My little one yr old 'Jax' leaped over my arm as I was reaching down to pick up a delivered package while opening the front door. She's never done this before as she knows better and because normally my big ole' Lab dog was always in the way when they greated me after coming home from work. Jax leaped out to go play with the dog across the street and got hit by a car (the driver wasn't even concerned enough to stop) and Jax got his front legs pretty well torn up. I'm rather new to the Austell area and thank God my son saw Dr. Bullard's sign as he was coming over to drive me to another clinic over on 41. Dr. Bullard was just about ready to close when we walked into his hospital. He did surgury on Jax that night and I am so greatful to him for taking such great care of my puppy. The people that work there at his hospital are so caring about animals. I've had animals all my life but have yet to see animal clinics that have such kind and caring people working there. Now...both my dogs will go to Dr. Bullards for all their needs. Mary O'Hara Austell, GA

rave reviews for Bullard Animal Hospital!!!

by sue p.

I have taken an animal or two to Bullard because it is close to my work but I recently got involved with them when I rescued a stray kitten-unfortunately the story did not have a happy ending and the kitten had to brought in a lot and then hospitalized and eventually euthanized and these are the most caring and compassionate folks-Myself and my little scared and sick kitty could not have been in better hands during such a traumatic experience...they are animals angels there.

They care about your animal.

by Margaret N. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 10,696

Bullard has been in the community for a long time and has built quite a reputation. They have several doctors that really care about your pet. They are great for the basic services, but in an emergency they care about you as much as your pet. Be sure and call early to reserve boarding space as they are usually full at peak times.

PROS: Good doctors, loving staff, convenient
CONS: Very busy, close from noon to 2:00 daily
