Powers Ferry Animal hospital is the only place I will ever take my animals. I have 5 senior pets (2 dogs and 3 cats), so Im a frequent customer with over 50 visits to this practice. EVERY SINGLE EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN POSITIVE. I transferred to this hospital 2 years ago after an unpleasant experience with my former vet. Everyone at PFAH is attentive, caring, creative and accommodating. Even when she must deliver unpleasant or expensive news, the communication from Meg Wright is clear, practical and compassionate. All of my animals adore her. Meg is our Doctor for all things western medicine and Dr Scott Miller treats my 13 year old Labrador for hip pain with acupuncture 2x per month. He and the technician always dote on her during her treatment and never hesitate to answer questions and give advice on how to manage my old friends health/joint pain/appetite. The team who manages the front desk is always so helpful (calling in prescription refills, asking the Dr. questions, working in an urgent appointment) and the techs who assist the doctors are a joy to work with. When we found ourselves in their office on the day we had to say goodbye to our bear-sized retriever (Guinness) the staff was so sensitive to our pain, and I cannot imagine a more dignified and peaceful end of life. From the first visit to the last, these are the people you can trust in animal medicine.

Been going since Sept. 2012. I talked to the office manager. Meet Mrs. RUDE CONDESCENDING herself. I called to schedule vaccinations & boarding. She gave me pricing which seemed high. I called 4 other hospitals within 3-6 mile they were cheaper. PFAH was priced 2 to 3 times more! I recalled her to explain to her what I found. She interrupted I am comfortable with our prices we are in line with our competitors in this area just nasty and wrong! I went on to tell her for financial reasons I would have to take my pup elsewhere but would leave the boarding as scheduled and that the other vet would be writing me a prescription for heartworm.. she interrupted me again I just want you to know we are not a pharmacy, and we only fill prescriptions for people we have a relationship with and a dog we have seen within a year. Well I guess she forgot my dog was there 90 days ago AND this is her only vet she is a year -6mths we dont have a relationship? She said she was just giving me information. LIAR.. she meant every word and since it didnt apply to me why tell me at all! I told her I was afraid to board my dog she said OH I would never I told her keep the passion if she cant treat me like a decent human being what makes her think I trust her with my pet!

The doctors and staff at Powers Ferry Animal Hospital are first class. I have never known such a caring and knowledgeable practice before. I wish I could find a physician for myself with the fine characteristics Dr. Andy Smith possesses. Any animal lucky enough to see Dr. Smith is sure to be getting to best veterinary care around. He is one in a million.

This is without a doubt the best facility you will find! The entire staff here goes above and beyond! Dr. Miller and Dr. B (who I have mainly worked with) are dedicated to you and your pet??s health! Our dog Schools was very ill and during this time they both not only called to check in with us but also checked in with the emergency care clinic where he stayed several nights. I know several other people who bring their animals here and all of them have been nothing but pleased with the service and care Power Ferry Animal Hospital provided to them.

I have been taking my cats to Dr Smith since about 1983 or "84. I have moved since then and
now drive by about 4 other vets on my way there. He is the most wonderfully, caring man I know.
(The few times I have had to see other vets there, they were very good too,.) When I has to put my
19 year old cat to sleep, he was so caring and accommodating. It is apparent that he really likes
his patients.

I came to PFAH three years ago on the recommendation of a friend. I am so happy with my experiences there - the doctors and staff are great. I will always be grateful for the compassion that Dr. Smith exhibited when I had to put my beloved lab to sleep. Dr. Berkowitz (aka Dr. B) is also terrific. My dog is more relaxed because of the carpeted waiting and exam rooms. I appreciate that we can make appointments, too - no endless waiting in a room full of animals causing anxiety for both pets and owners.

We have been using PFAH since 1993 and they have never let us down. The staff is exceptionally friendly and they care about your dog, not the almighty dollar.

They do what is best for your dog and that's what matters to me.

I was paying a fortune for my cat with renal disease to see a cat doctor in Buckhead. I came out of desperation to this facility - and Dr Meg Wright has cared for my cat - for 1 1/2 years now. She taught me how to care for my cat at home (significant cost savings) - and has been compassionate and proficient. The staff - Jen, Ashley, and all have been kind, welcoming, and very dependable. They will get you in last minute - and provide great bording services. so please I switched to this facility - I am sure they have added to the quantity and quality of my pet's life.

We have been at PFAH for many years. My father-in-law was a vet. When he was no longer able to take care of our pets, we came apprehensively to a new vet, Dr. Andy Smith in about 1990. He has taken such good care of our pets; he is very knowledgeable, caring, and extemely thorough. I believe our dogs have lived longer, with a good quality of life because of his care. Our dogs have been boarded there as well, in 2004, for a long period of time. To this day they cannot wait to get out of the car to go into the hospital. The staff tends to stay a long time and they know the people and dogs who come into the hospital. They are helpful and knowledgeable as well. It is well run and excellence is expected -- this review is based on years of working with Dr.Smith.

With another not-so-good experience somewhere else, we were very pleased with the service here. They got us in the same day and everyone was very friendly with our dog. The vet was knowledgeable and offered us a lot of options, even following up with us on the phone.

My dog had some stomach issues recently and we took him to the Powers Ferry Animal Hospital because it was the closest place. Everyone who worked there was very friendly, and they chatted with us as we waited for a vet. One thing I noticed was that they had carpet in the waiting room - odd for an animal hospital, but I guess it was more comfortable than a bare floor. The vet was quite knowledgeable. She made us feel like she was taking good care of our dog. Of course the fees for the tests were steep, but that was too be expected. I think we'll keep taking our dog here when he needs to go to the vet.

I recently got my first new puppy I'd ever had as an adult on my own. The girl on the phone was very helping in setting my up with an appointment and answering my questions about the breed and crate training. All of the receptionists up front acknowledged me by name and playing with/ loved on my 8 week old lab. The doctor was relaxed and personable, and also very through, not only did she answer all my questions, but she covered things i would not have even thought of trying with training. The prices are reasonable and everyone made me feel that I could call and speak to someone about any trouble or questions I had wheater lage or small. Even the other clients in the lobby seemed happy to be there, along with some of the dogs!
