This dealership is a deceiver with very poor moral character from salesman Cean Butler and finance manager Louis Spaeth. It has terrible customer service. I have informed anyone I know looking for a new vehicle not to purchase from this dealership. I went with a General Motors Corporation vehicle due to family elders being retirees and regret the decision every day. On November 22, 2014 I walked into the dealership and stated I wanted a red 2014 Terrain SLT-2. The salesman Cean Butler said they only had a red 2015 Terrain SLT-2, so I said okay. He complimented me on knowing exactly what I wanted. I test drove it and noticed some features were not working, specifically the rear camera beep and blindspot detector. When I asked about them, Cean Butler said they had to be turned on but the manual would explain how to turn them on. I understood some features did have to be turned on like the guidelines for the rear camera. I was okay with this and knew it was late. I was not able to read the sticker due to it being dark outside and asked for it once we got back to the dealership. It was not provided until after the contract was signed and folded in the console. During my first days of ownership I realized I had been lied to and placed into a vehicle I did not ask for or want. Cean Butler placed me in an SLT-1 with some upgrades (power lift gate, power sunroof) but did not include the items I requested (safety package, memory seat). He specifically said the car was an SLT-2. I contacted Cean Butler and Louis Spaeth, the finance manager immediately. I asked to return the vehicle to get what I want, pay them for the mileage used, forfeit the first car payment I submitted and negotiate on the vehicle I wanted. It was a win for the dealership and I was taking the loss. I was told no deal, and since I looked at the car I should be okay with what I got. I understand my role in this by trusting Cean Butler and the dealership to be honest and good business neighbors. The terrible lack of customer service I was given after the purchase helped me understand I will never purchase another vehicle from here again. I have never been talked down to as I was by Louis Spaeth on more than one occasion. I was treated as though my business or concerns did not matter by Cean Butler or Louis Spaeth after the deal was done. I know a good customer experience pays a business back tenfold. I have been contacted by the dealership customer service to submit a survey but never to resolve the issue at hand. I have yet to receive a phone call or any correspondence from the dealership to reconcile in any way or provide a better customer experience. I have had a less than pleasant experience by this dealership. I have never experienced such a poor customer experience from a business. This experience causes me and my family to have valid negative taste and thought about the General Motors Corporation, which is regretful as many of my elders retired from the organization.

horrible service dept. this is the 3rd time in 3 years, I attempted to schedule an appt. Without fail, I was diverted to another dealership as they did not have an appointment available for another 5 weeks. Not acceptable. If you are going to sell a car, then have the capacity for after service. I will never purchase another vehicle from this particular dealership.

I will never have my car serviced by Carl Black Kennesaw again. They removed the fuel tank in order to replace the fuel module. $1600 later, I collect my vehicle, fill the tank and take it home to have it leak gasoline on my garage floor - the result - a 8 ft. gas stain which soaked through the floor paint into the concrete. A professional's estimate for grinding and refinishing the floor (low end of $1800) was provided to Carl Black and they refuse to take responsibility for anything other than the 8 ft. spot. which they calculate at $500. The floor didn't require anything prior to their negligent work on my vehicle. We're all fortunate the volatile fumes didn't result in something far worse for my family than headaches for a week. Having children come into the house and asking why the garage smells so bad a few hrs. after you've just returned from having the car serviced by Carl Black . . . how about a few safety protocols - like when you perform work on a fuel system which requires removing the gas tank, you check the work by filling it (pass the cost on to the customer - but at least you know it's safe). They have lost a customer, shattered my trust in their work, and have shown no integrity by taking no responsibility for the results.

My wife and I were looking for a nice, low mileage car for our daughter. We searched the web of local dealerships and Carl Black had what we were looking for at the right price. The salesman, Kim Evans was the best. We will go back.

My family has been a loyal Carl Black customer for years, having purchased at least 6 vehicles from them (between my parents and myself). However, our trust in them has been SHATTERED recently by questionable dealings involving their service department. My father, who typically handled maintenance issues, passed away not long ago. After he died, my mother took his truck in for a routine oil change and to be checked over as she was planning to transport a few family heirlooms (antiques) to my brother in Florida. She was suprised when the service dept told her she needed $800 of repairs on the truck (which had less than 30K miles). Not wanting to have issues on the trip, she told them to proceed. Imagine our dismay when the truck quit midway on the trip, stranding temporarily in a less than desirable area in the peak heat of summer. We called Carl Black from our cell phone to express our dismay and were told we would need a new alternator. However, when we finally flagged down help in Florida, we were told that someone had loosened the battery cables (intentionally). A few months I took my daughter's vehicle in to get a headlight replaced. I was told the service engine light was coming on and that the cause was that the water pump needed to be replaced. I was told it would run about $800. My mother's car died in their parking lot the same day. She was told that she needed a new battery (which seemed logical) AND.... about $800 of repairs as well (HMMM... strangely familiar ball park figure). We took both my daughter's and my mother's vehicle to another reputable GM repair shop for a second opinion. Bottom line --- they said the repairs Carl Black insisted were needed were NOT necessary at all and took care of our issues for a fraction of the cost Carl Black quoted. (Carl Black charged me over $100 to replace my daughter's headlight and charged for an oil change I did not receive).
They have lost our trust.
BE CAREFUL.

If you want a GMC then you need to go to them. They are conveniently located off of Barrett Pkwy. They always have a carnival or fun rides so that you can bring your family and they can enjoy while you are shopping for a new car. Customer service associates are very friendly and not pushy like other dealerships.
