My partner has long touted this restaurant as delicious. Wrong! Not only was the food bland, way over cooked, and down right awful to look at. But the service was even worse. Not sure what he sees in this place. It was like pulling teeth just got one of the 10 waitress's working to even ring me up. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!! Not even the owner was nice or attentive. She just said hello but would not listen to my critique of her food.

I have never seemed to have good luck with this place. However, at the request of m co workers I reluctantly stop in one evening. (around 6 pm) To find the restaurant had been shut down by the health department! How does this even happen

I ordered nad paid for 2 "Birthday Cakes " for my husn=ban, birthday party. $ 73.44. When I ordered, I asked if they could decorate a German Choc and carrort cake like a birthday cake, they said "YES". Long story short, the cakes were UGLY, not even like a birthday cake. I called to complain and they said they would issue me a refund...and guess what...they lied! My caqrd was never credited. Bad cakes, poor presentation, and liars!

This place is only good for the wedding cakes/cookies. If you wanna think you are eating healthy lunch/breakfast items, its good..I guess..but if everything wasn't injected with fat, it would be better. Secret to the roasted chicken? Mrs.

Gabriel's is so much more than desserts. The desserts are worth the trip but have lunch or dinner as well. Southern country cooking that is not greasy or overcooked is what Gabriel's serves up. Doesn't hurt that the owner's cousin is reported to be Paula Deen!

i have always loved the desserts (red velvet cupcakes, strawberry cake and carrot cake are my favorites) but now it's one of my favorites places to meet friends for lunch or take my whole family for dinner. so reasonable, homecooked meals and service with a smile! love it!

I have mixed reviews on this place. Their food is pretty good. The taste test may prove to show food that is a little overpriced. However, their presentation is superb. Unfortunately, they care very little about the customer when it comes to catered events. Asked for a small aspect of a cake to be made with sweetener, but they said that that would decrease the quality of the rest of the (layered) cake. Well, their inability to perform such a small task prevented the bride from being able to eat any cake since she's a diabetic. Screw this place. Food quality goes down when the management doesn't care about the customer at all, even within reason.

I was very disappointed with my visit to this much talked about eatery. The desert selection was not as impressive as The Marietta Dinner. I don't think I'll be back.

I wanted red velvet cake for my wedding, and not all red velvet cakes are created equal. I went to 8 cake tastings in the Atlanta area and NO ONE was better than Gabriel's. Johnnie's red velvet cake is by far the best red velvet cake I've ever had (don't tell my mother!). I was able to pick 3 flavors from their choices and they made 3 small cakes for me to take home so that others could try them and give their opinions. My husband chose their fresh strawberry cake for his Groom's Cake and it was fantastic as well. Johnnie spent over 2 hours with me during our first meeting, and I could tell she really wanted to make sure that the cakes reflected my style and looked the way I wanted. Their prices were comparable to or lower than all of the other wedding cakes I reviewed. (In addition, they made a heavenly carrot cake for my mother's birthday with less than a day's notice.) I love everything about Gabriel's and I highly recommend Johnnie and her staff.

Get there early because this quaint restaurant/bakery fills up fast! It is owned and managed by Paula Deen's cousin. Looks like good cooks run in the family. Good southern style food, cornbread, sweet tea, etc. I hear the bakery does a fabulous job with wedding cakes.

Six weeks before my daughters Sweet Sixteen party our baker told us that she could bake the cupcakes for their party. I immediately began to ask my co workers about bakeries in the area. I tried sample baked goods from three bakeries and by far Gabriel's Desserts was the best. My co worker told me Gabriel's made her wedding cake and everyone who had the cake commented how her cake was the best wedding cake they ever tasted. Before trying the cakes my husband and I went there for breakfast, not was it only reasonably priced but good. The cinnamon roll was excellent especially heated. A few days later my daughters and I went to Gabriel's and bought two types of cupcakes (a red velvet cupcake), one cookie, pet-it fours and slice of chocolate cake.To me pet-it fours are the true test of a bakery. A pet-it fours is supposed to melt in your mouth and Gabriel's did. We met with the owner a week later to discuss what we needed. We ordered 6 dozen cupcakes and one seven inch cake that were decorated to match my daughter's party invitation. There cupcakes were a hit! Since their party, my team at work has been there several times for lunch and have ordered cakes from Gabriel's for our team birthday parties. Not only are the baked goods awesome, but the southern style food tastes just like your grandmother made it. There are no words to describe the meatloaf. Fortunately, you can buy a whole meatloaf frozen as part of their frozen food selection. The service is good but they get very busy during lunch time and you may not be able to reach them by phone for orders during that time. No matter, the baked goods, the food, the fresh salads are worth the wait!! Even if you have to drive 25+ minutes to get there. When it is time to eat cake, Gabriel's Desserts needs to be your first stop.

Oh my word! Where do I start? Excellent! They have the most wonderful desserts around, and what a variety! I'm an old "Southern Girl", so I love their fresh veggies and cornbread. I have told a lot of my friends they need to try it out. They will not be disappointed. They also have cute little tables with the umbrellas where you can enjoy eating your meal outside, of course, when weather permits. It's awesome!

I recently had a Christmas party and asked Gabriel's to please make finger sandwiches. They were gourmet in three varities. My guests all asked where they came from. Very attentive staff, feel like I have made a wonderful friend!

Pros: Great to finally have a bakery of this caliber in Marietta

Cons: None

The desserts are a little small and pricey. The cakes are great. They can make any type or style cake you need. The lunch hour is a little crazy. Worth the wait.

I had a few minutes today on the internet and decided to check on some the business I like to go. So I checked on the bakery I like, Gabriel?s, and found they a review and checked it out. If you use this one review to choose weather or not to try Gabriel?s, you will have missed out on the best bakery and cafe in the metro area. If you walk through the door will know you made the right choose

Gabriel's did my wedding cake. They didn't set the cake up properly, so it fell to the ground as I was walking down the isle. Even though they paid me back for it, it was very disappointing considering their reputation. Then, when they had a chance to make it right on my 1 year anniversary by sending me a "cake topper" for us to eat on our anniversary; it arrived in a huge lump of mushy, soggy mess! I am extremely disappointed in the service and professionalism.
