OK... East Andrews has been a stable of Atlanta nightlife for sometime. The complex houses several bars so it isn't a problem to find something there for everyone. Stout is a great place to sit back and relax and 8 Traxx is great if you

DO NOT ORDER ANY EVENT PACKAGES THROUGH EAST ANDREWS!!!!!! What was supposed to be a fun night with friends turned into an unorganized and HORRIBLE experience. I've requested a refund, but apparently the staff there doesn't give a damn as to whether or not patrons have a good experience or not. We will NOT being going back there - EVER!

Pros: Best off duty Cops in Atlanta

This is a good place to go to see some good cover bands. They seem to bring in a variety and good selection. Your ears will be ringing for hours after the concert but otherwise good place to go for a fun night out.

I'll have to admit, I've never eaten at East Andrews, but if you are looking for a great scene in Buckhead with several bars and a couple of different stages for live music, this is it. In the summer it's great because it has a wide open central-atrium area that is basically outside.

We started out my girlfriend's bachelorette party here and it was a good time. The drinks are reasonable (for Buckhead), good bartenders and a talented musician playing covers. It's a fun spot in an area that is usually very stuffy.

My friend and I only go on Thursday nights. For the most part, it's been lovely. Bartenders are awesome, nice, and somewhat skilled. $2 vodka drinks rocked until they took it away (hence the 4 stars). Music played- large mix. They don't just play 80s music on Thurs nights.

Overall- great crowd, attractive people, nice laid-back atmosphere.

Not a club type in the Bar- so don't expect a club!

I know atmosphere matters when you go out, but the review should incude details about services rendered. I don't care about those around me, the wannabes, the too cools, all I know is that service and food were excellent for a party of five on a busy Friday. Seated within 5 minutes, food on the table less than 10 minutes after that. My fillet, perfect and finished my girlfriend's crabcakes and dessert. Less than 80 dollars for our meal. Service was excellent and eye candy even better. Returned for a fabulous Sunday brunch that was better than the buffet at the Belligiao in Vegas. Thnak's EA.

East Andrews is a good place to mingle. It is mostly a college aged group, maybe a little too "cliquey", but other than that there is plenty of space to roam around (two floors) and a good place to go to have a good time. I dont necessarily like the stuffy crowd, but I do like the place, and I do go on occassion.

Pros: Big crowd, nice place

Lots of pros and cons for this bar. If you plan on going, go with a big group. If not, you will notice how everybody clings to their own. I guess you can say this is a snobby bar. This is not the type of bar you would go to meet lots of new atl people. BUT, this bar is very trendy and you can find different things happening in all the different rooms that it provides. The courtyard which feels like youre in Miami, downstairs band is usually very good, the porch, the lounge area which is non smoking, and also an upstairs. The upstairs includes a band every weekend as well as a cover charge. I have been disappointed the past several times due to their crappy selection on bands up there. Last saturday was a country cover band that I paid $10 to see. :-/ What?? REFUND PLEASE!

You got about a 50/50 chance on enjoying this bar... Remember that.

Visiting Buckhead, we chose a restaurant based on reading menus on Open Table for places within walking distance of our hotel. We should have read the city search reviews before making reservations based on what looked to be a very promising menu. As others have noted--enjoy the read but dine elsewhere.

From the moment we entered the restaurant, we should have known what was in-store and turned around. We walked in, on time for our reservation, and were asked to wait while our table was being set-up. We then saw someone carrying what turned out to be our table from somewhere in the back, and then placing it right next to the door (in a rather empty dining room), dropping a plate (which shattered!) onto a tile floor.

Our waiter, approached the table, dropped of the menu, recited the specials, and neglected to ask for a drink order. Drink order finally taken after food was ordered, and a white russian appeared in a water glass with more ice than any drink ought to have to endure.

The food, which was beautifully described on the menu was bland to inedible, and took quite some time to arrive. My husband's chicken risotto was flavorless and more hard than al dente, and my calamari was lightly floured (as requested), but also rather rubbery. My "bouillabaisse" not only contained little fish, it contained prodigious amounts of potato and tomato. The broth more closely resembled the "juice" in a can of stewed tomatoes than any kind of shellfish broth. My husband's "fillet" was thin and not of the choice or prime variety, and we mused that it might actually have been a strip-steak cut in a circle.

Itching to leave, we had quite the time of trying to get a check. We were surprised that our waiter, who should have seen the practically full plates he was clearing, interrupted our request for the check with, ?what, no dessert??

All this for a bill of about $100 just left us shaking our heads at having been had for our first night of dining in Buckhead.

This is one of my favorite bars in Atlanta--it's definitely classier than many of its Buckhead counterparts. I love it on Saturday nights, although it does get pretty crowded. However, in addition to inside bar/seating areas, and an entire upstairs, there is a large courtyard where you can order drinks and mingle under the stars...literally. The open sky and the general design of the space is really beautiful. The crowd is a sophisticated set of mid-20 to early 30-year-olds. I'd definitely recommend it as a low key alternative to Buckhead clubs or rowdy bars. My friends and I went last weekend and had a fantastic time!

The rest of you must be whiners because I've been going to this place since it opened and each time it has become better. A friend had his rehersal dinner there and everytime I'm up from Miami I go in. The new menu is awesome and the Sunday brunch even more spectacular. The bartender who I only see once every 6 months still remebers my drink order. Probably because I don't pretend to be anyone other than me. Once I got off the plane went to restaurant to meet friends who were severly late and the valets placed my luggage in storage while I ate dinner and waited in a sweatshirt and workout pants and it was the best service I ever received. Yes the women are fabulous and the atmosphere exciting. The place has never failed to deliver. I wish I could meet those same people at home in Miami. Worth every penny.

Pros: A menu that wood make Rachel Ray blush, Free valet parking

Cons: To many treats to try.

.

I went there for brunch two weeks ago and it was fabulous - huge buffet with yummy, fresh food (both cold and hot options) and attentive chef service. One of the best brunches in Atlanta by far for the food. However, service was definitely mediocre and our brunch took twice as long because the waitress was not attentive. The wait was a big surprise as she only had to serve us drinks, and for much of the time we were her only table. So go if you have time to spare!

Food was excellent; service mediocre. Great food is always ruined by awful service, and good service can cover over any food mistake--take my advice, East Andrews: teach your servers some customer service skills.

This restaurant is great! They have a new chef and gourmet menu. You can go in and have a relaxed dinner in the Cafe followed by a drink at the bar or even head upstairs to catch a band. Plus, they finally added Sunday Brunch-which is awesome especially sitting in the courtyard!

Some friends and I wanted to try some place new and we had been to Andrew's Upstair's before, so we liked the atmosphere. The courtyard was pretty but our waitress took a HALF HOUR to even get our drink order. We ordered an appetizer when she FINALLY dropped off our drinks. We had finished our appetizer and our martini's and beer, waited 15 minutes and she came over and took our order. We tried to waive down anyone to send over our server for 15 minutes but no one would even look our way. Every table around us got our food before us, even the ones who came 30-40 minutes after us. For $20-30 entree's, the food was nothing special. The ribeye meat was tough, the crab prawls were normal shrimp with a tiny piece of crab meat on top. NOT WORTH THE PRICE OR TIME IT TOOK AT ALL!! Don't go here, over priced, terrible service. You can get the same food an pay half! I swear. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

A group of friends and I went there on a Saturday night after making reservations, and we all left sorely dissapointed.
1) The waitress was a witch with a capital B. It's possible she was knowledgeable about the food and the wine, but you would never know it due the short and snooty answers she gave us.
2) The place is LOUD. It was more like being in a frat house with lot of drunkness and screaming. I'm surprised I didn't see anyone dancing on the tables.
3) Portions are not only way overpriced, but teeny-tiny. Bring some PB&J with you just in case. The $17 shrip skewers = 5 shrimp+1 spoon of canned corn+chopped up apples.
4) The food is edible, but really nothing special. It's about as innovative as, well, PB&J.

Folks. I beg you. Please don't waste your money here!

My girlfriend and I went here on a Saturday for a night out. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. They even have a small "courtyard" area outside for dining. Our reservation was met accordingly and we even got a booth. The waitress, however, did not seem happy that we didn't drink. After that, the only person that came to our table was a food runner and the water boy. They have a variety of "small plates." We mixed and match four of them. Every single one was flavorless, luke warm, and poorly prepared. After we picked at each plate, we paid our overpriced check and ate somewhere else. I don't recommend this place for anybody who is actually hungry or knows what good food is.

Stopped by last night for dinner, and found that The Cafe had a new star in the kitchen. I believe her name was Chef Diana. Regardless, she whipped up a couple of dishes to show us the direction she was taking the menu, and they were fantastic! Thanks, my wife and I will be back soon!

Pros: Service, Food, Wine List

Cons: loud

This restaurant definitely did not live up to the descriptions on Citysearch. I wouldn't categorize this as a "romantic" destination with all the loud music coming from the bar and the ever thumping music coming through the ceiling from the band upstairs. The decorations weren't anything special-lots of glass and no tablecloths. They also failed to mention until we got there that the kitchen was being remodeled and they only had about half the items normally on the menu. So much for a nice steak or some seafood.
I definitely won't be back.

Based on earlier review by someone else, we decided to go for the chef's sampler. No one seemed to know what we were talking about. When ordering wine we ordered one bottle, when it came for the second bottle we were told they were out and the waiter attempted to up grade us to a much more expensive bottle, but suddenly when we ordered something less expensive they found 2 more bottles of the wine we wanted.
Dessert plate is very small not enough to share. Ordered the Sweet Potato ravioli based on reviews, in my opinion don't waste your money on this. As for romantic this is not even close to being romantic, seems to be too much like a sports bar.

It was unfortunate that it was raining when I went to this place, because they have a delightful outside area! The dining room was nice and dark, very romantic. I went for my birthday with my boyfriend, and while we didn't proclaim that it was my birthday, the waitress was attentive enough to notice and I got a FANTASTIC dessert on the house. The drinks are amazing--I reccomend the raspberry lemontini and the kir royal. The sesame seared tuna and the spinach salad are to die for!

Can't wait to go back and try the sweet potato ravioli!!

But it's okay since I guess that's the reason there's always attractive girls at EA Thursday through Saturday. I become a regular here and every time I check out a different bar in Atlanta, I keep coming back to East Andrew's. Girls, do me a favor and don't bring your boyfriends with you when you come. Guys, if you bring girls here for a date, shame on you. Not only are you bring sand to the beach, but your girlfriend is like chum in a shark pool.

Was dragged there on Thursday, and ended up having a great time. The staff was friendly, not pretentious like a lot of places in Atlanta. They were serving $2 glasses of Veuve, I guess they have some special on Thursdays. Anyway, there were a lot of women having a great time, and our group had a blast. Thanks East Andrews!

I found the menu quite unique and absolutely delicious, giving restaurants twice the price a solid run for their money. A very interesting variety of scrumptuous tasty treats can be found.

The small and medium plates work very well to share as appetizers--the Sweet Potato Ravioli's are unbelievable, as are the Flank Steak Skewers with Asian Salad.

The menu works great for Atkins and South Beach low carb fanatics; Tuna Tartare, Crab Cakes, Saffron Mussels all are wonderful.

Definitely a hit with my wife and I both, but being dessert nuts, that the selection of sweets could be enlarged would be my only complaint. Despite the few choices in that department, the Chocolate Mousse Dome certainly finished up the meal in fine form!

Definitely a hit with my wife and I both, but being dessert nuts, that the selection of sweets could be enlarged would be my only complaint. Despite the few choices in that department, the Chocolate Mousse Dome certainly finished up the meal in fine form!

Pros: Fantastic Food, Great Value, Nice Ambience

.

I really enjoyed dining here, although my husband thought it was nothing special. The food was excellent, crab cakes were loaded with crabs and their sauteed calamari was a great change from the typical breaded/battered fried variety. The dining area is dim, is small in size and can get quite loud even when half full. Ambience is good enough to make for a romantic evening, and service is personable. Hubby didn't like his seabass too much, but I thoroughly enjoyed my rare steak with mushroom and onion tart side. The pecan tart was good enough to finish the meal. The small plates here are the winner. I must try the sweet potato ravioli next time (medium plate). I opted for the steak (large plate) as we went on a Tuesday when the cafe offers 2 for 1 specials, great value!

I have been going to Atlanta clubs and bars for quite some time now and can tell you with certainty that East Andrews is a terrible experience. If you like a meat market with a lot of old men, terrible drinks, poor service and lousy attitutudes, this could be a good place for you. Stick to the highlands or midtown for a good time because everyone I know has stopped going to this dump.

I think that the people who say the patrons of East Andrews Cafe are stuck up and rude must be the ugly ones that couldn't get in, or if they do get in, nobody would talk to them. And the ones who say the drinks are expensive must not realize that the house gin is Bombay Sapphire and more than worth it. My girlfriends and I love coming here to meet quality men.

This place does have hot women, but the drinks are expensive and the bartenders are rude. It seems on the surface that all the young and wealthy gather here. What you don't see is their $10,000 balance on their credit cards each month. If you want to pretend you're something you're not, go to East Andrews. Don't worry ... everyone else is playing make believe too.

I met absolutely the most respectful, genuine gentlemen at the East Andrews Cafe. The staff and the patrons trully made my bridal shower an incredible experience. I can't thank all of the wonderful people I met who made that night so special for my girlfriends and I. Thank you- especially to the owner who went out of his way to accomodate us.

Up from Miami and a friend suggested a new restaurant to eat at, never in my life have I actually thought I partied to Hard. That's what happened at East Andrew's though, from the staff to the fellow patrons, I was served and treated with the utmost of Southern Hospitality. And the chicks, more chicks than at the latest showing of a Meg Ryan movie. Absolute fun and fairly inexpensive for the food, brevages and great service I recieved. Continued success, job well done.
