Absolute waste of time and money. I had them come out and quote on 3 trees, the first tree was cut correctly and at that point I had to leave the house. The second and third tree were not cut correctly.

The sales person that quoted the job said that they would come back out and take care of it. This of course never happened. Then I was told the sales rep (Mike) would come back out with Bob the owner.

After cutting 70% of the tree down I was then told by Bob that he could be sued by the city if he cut any part of the tree without getting it condemned but he'd be happy to cut the rest of the tree down for an additional payment.

Bob also is some kind of businessman as he came on to my property and according to what he said, was recording the entire conversation to be used against me in a court of law. Of course it's my house and he had no authority but I could care less about that as all I really wanted was to have the trees addressed but Tomahawk Tree Service won't do that at the price they have on the contract.

They also said originally that they'd be out in 10 days, after 8 days of waiting to be scheduled I called them as they forgot about me. They were out a week after the call but they don't exactly stand behind what they say.

They also take payment up front, sure they tell you 40% on arrival and 60% on departure but they already have your credit card info so good luck if you use them, I sure won't.

Be careful what you sign with these folks as Bob and Mike will use it against you any way they can as Bob seems quite paranoid.

From my recent experience with Tomahawk Tree Service, my opinion is that it is a very shady company and is unethical when it comes to business. I too had asked for a Free Estimate and received a quote to sign. After signing the quote they now use their all-encompassing ??Additional Terms of Contract to Perform Services? on the backside as a way to trap you. Do not sign anything they hand to you!
After finding a reputable company at nearly half the price despite the 50% off ??deal? from Tomahawk, I received the cancellation notice. I called (several calls until I spoke to someone) and was given a song and dance about the owners are located in Venezuela (even though their website boasts ??locally owned and operated?) and they will not cancel anything. Bob (who is the manager, I suspect) even told me about a church that signed the quote and they too were required to pay a cancellation fee?.A CHURCH!! In order to avoid going to court or dealing with a collection agency I paid a substantial cancellation fee for work that was never done. It was supposed to be a Free Estimate!
What makes it worse is I was a repeat client of theirs and I was referred to them by a friend of the local manager. I have spent close to $5K in the past 4 years with them and I was still threatened with legal action and that I would be turned over to collections if I did not pay their cancellation fee. Furthermore, after explaining this in a letter and personally delivering the letter (and check) to their office, I did not even get so much as a phone call or letter in return, only the cashed check from my bank.
This company and the person who owns it is a scam artist in my opinion. There are far more honest tree service companies with integrity in the Atlanta area. I caution anyone about using Tomahawk Tree Service.

I have had these guys on my heavily wooded lot and they have done great every time. Once dropped a neighbors tree leaning over my lot between other trees and my house. Have all the equipment and staff they need and clean up after they finish.

We received three quotes for tree service and went with Tomahawk as they were substantially cheaper than the rest. Well, you get what you pay for. They asked us to remove first three, then six shrubs to access the area for tree removal. No problem that day ?? however due to the soggy ground they said they would be back to remove the logs and would let us know when. They did not let us know when they were returning and when they came to remove the logs they ran over the very shrubs they had us move on the first half of the job. No problem so far ?? a few shrubs no biggie ?? their contract says they cannot guarantee the surrounding landscape. However, since they had us remove them in the first place, I felt a call expressing the concern/miscommunication was in order.

When the owner, Bob returned my call (he was the one that provided the quote onsite) it got ugly. I explained my concern regarding the miscommunication ?? why have us remove the shrubs once and not for the second half? (by the way, the Bobcat guy said they never tell folks to remove shrubs because they die so conflicting info was given). When I invited him out to take a look at what was the cause for my concern, he wasted no time in very sarcastically quoting the fine print of the contract, laid on me that he has too much on his plate already, his brother was dying, that he didn??t recall my job, that anytime someone brings a million dollars worth of heavy equipment on my property I should expect damage, that I should have given him a courtesy call to ask if I could replace the shrubs after the trees were removed, etc, etc?..I was very taken aback by his outrage when all I did was express a concern. I told him that I felt like you get what you pay for and no wonder he is so cheap ?? I will not repeat the things he began shouting at me but then accused me of talking over him and hung up on me. I didn??t even get to tell him they cut the Invisible Fence on my neighbor??s property.

I recommend using anyone but this company. It's a shame since they are local and we always try to use local businesses.
