I was on my way to Uniform Source (next door neighbor to Kennesaw Pet Center) on a busy Saturday with heavy traffic on Cobb Pkwy and missed the entrance, so pulled over to Kennesaw Pet Center parking lot and politely asked the staff if I could park there for a few minutes, run to Uniform Source for a quick pick-up. The first girl seemed that her response was going to be positive, then a shorter brunette girl in thick black glasses spoke out and said that I cannot park there since it was for customers only and that she has the right to deny parking and went on and on. I silently listened and asked if she can make a favor it is just few minutes and the lot was empty, so that I can avoid going down to the light and back-up. She insisted on her rights. I just decided to leave than continue to listen at her and took an extra 15minutes to go down, U turn twice and make it to the next door business. I mentioned this incident to the staff at Uniform Source and they were not very happy, since they have many Kennesaw Pet Center customers park at Uniform Source and walk to the pet place.
This is bad business and definitely bad neighbor behavior. And way to pay it forward! What goes around, comes around. Will spread.

For those of you who are looking for Vet Care or a Groomer Do Not Use Kennesaw Pet Center. I had a horrible experience with them and I have been a long time customer. My fur baby was dropped off on Monday for grooming, and he's usually done by 2pm with a follow up phone call. That call never came so I called and they told me he was not done yet. So I called back later in the day and answering service said they were closed for the day. So my baby had to stay caged overnight because they failed to notify me. I didnt even get a call this morning. When I showed up no apology was given. Manager wasnt available. I didnt have the strength to go off because I just wanted my dog. But you can bet that I will be spreading the word how horribly I was treated. I have referred many clients to them. Not anymore!
By the way, they have new owership. David Fowler is no longer there.

Do Not Bring Any Pet Here!! I was recently there for my puppies to get there final shots and had the worst service of my life. For almost 10 years I brought my golden retriever in for everything to this facility until her passing in 04'. I thought this was a respectable place so I brought my new puppies in. When I asked for the charges to be explained I was verbally assaulted like I didn't need to know what my money was being spent on. They were rude and VERY unprofessional. There were no signs of mistreating my puppies, but still this experience has made me uneasy about trusting them with any animal.

Business Response:

Manager This client was charged for a service he requested. This was our first time seeing these specific pets. This client immediately became verbally abusive to staff even though the charge asked for was removed. Please be informed that we will be happy to explain services rendured but yelling obscenities at staff members simply isn't acceptable and will not be tolerated.

I really like this clinic. I have a super shy dog that I used to have trouble getting her to step in the front door of our last vet! This place she walks right in and says hi to everyone. I have boarded her there a few times and she is very thunderphobic and needs meds for bad storms but there is always somebody there who looks at the weather and gives her the meds when she will need them which makes me feel more comfortable. When I pick her up they always have a picture of her for me

I have been taking my Rat Terrier to Kennesaw pet center for 8 years. The location is great for me and the doctors are always very thorough so I always leave satisfied with my visit. Also, they always recognize me and my dog when we come in! Great vet hospital.

I had a TERRIBLE experience at KPC. I took my puppy there to get spayed and she came out with a bloody leg (how this happens during a spay I have no idea) and a softball sized welt on her side. They assured me the welt was a reaction from an injection and the swelling would go down. It didn't. Her hair fell out, flesh began to die, and it turned into an open, oozing, bleeding wound in a matter of days. It had to be removed by another vet, cost over $1000 for the surgery, and my dog was in extreme amounts of pain. When I changed vets offices KPC refused to give me her records. When I finally got them there were pieces missing and they were really shady about everything. She goes everywhere with me and people ask about her scar and what happened. I have had more than a handful of people tell me they have personally had or know people who have had similar or other bad experiences there.I took my dog there because it was convenient and regret it more than you will ever know..

Business Response:

I believe this review is fake We have no history of a case like this. None of our clients refer to Kennesaw Pet Center as KPC. This is a term used by employees to each other when talking about which clinic in the area gave a client pet vacinations.

I have been VERY disappointed in the quality of care I and my dog have received from this vet. I have been there a few times in a short (2 month) timespan and having a diabetic dog I spend QUITE A BIT of money there ($150 a month roughly). NEVER have I received an answer that DOES NOT contradict what was said the time before. First I went in and had no problems getting insulin and syringes. The next time however I was told they were out of syringes and gave me a prescription for them. No big deal, things happen. I was told I could get the syringes at a regular pharmacy. After going to Kroger, Publix, Walgreens, and CVS and being told the same "We do not carry pet syringes in any of our stores" I call the vet to ask where I can find them. I pretty much got a "You will just have to keep looking, I do not know" answer. Thanks for wasting 2 hours of my time and NO syringes. I finally found an animal hospital (which should have been suggested FIRST) to get them from. Then I go in again, THIS time I am told I cannot get syringes because they DO NOT SELL THEM TO THE PUBLIC. WHAT? I am told a vet will call me to talk about how to get syringes easier in the future, NO CALL. The NEXT (and LAST) time I go in I am told my insulin costs $67 (originally around $30-$40). When asked why the huge increase I am told for manufacturer's increases ($30 increase overnight?). After paying, since it was either that or no insulin I get my receipt. I have been charged for 85 syringes! 25 of them are from a previous visit (when I left with NONE!). I ask about the syringes, the tech said she has NO IDEA why someone told me previously I couldn't get them. Already paid for, I leave with 60 syringes, CREDIT for 25 more, and again a vet is supposed to call me. SURPRISE! NO CALL. I'm sorry, but NO vet should be ran this way and if you do not have experience to take care of pets with certain circumstances PLEASE LET THE OWNER KNOW! I feel I know more than they do about how to take care of my dog.

Review is not representative We have confidential Customer Satisfaction Surveys available at the front desk. I am available for clients to talk with about issues. Our surveys show clients are very satisfied.

than it was when we stopped taking our dogs there. The grooming was okay, but dog got nicked too many times. When they gave the pup a rabies shot he almost died. The response, oh well, that sometimes happens. Nope, found another vet.

Business Response:

Great Groomers is the usual remark. We have two groomers with extensive experience. One has been here grooming 17 years and the other 5 years. While knicks may sometimes occur, I believe we have the best groomers in the area and our satisfaction surveys reflect that.

We took our two dogs and a cat to Kennesaw Pet Center to stay over spring break. The staff at KPC was very efficient despite the deludge of folks dropping off and again when we picked up our animals a week later. All three pets seemed very healthy and they had no problems. They saw the Veterinarian while they were there and they even did a great job bathing the cat. I am very happy with KPC and will go there again.

Kennesaw Pet Center is now under new ownership. Dr. Fowler bought the practice in February 2006 and also owns Inmann Animal Hospital. He has done an incredible job re-doing the KPC policies. KPC no longer sells puppies or kittens, Dr. Fowler really wants to promote adoption from animal shelters. However,KPC might get the occasional litter of abandoned puppies/kittens. The boarding facility is amazing. My dog (siberian husky) gets sooo excited when we pull in the parking lot. She stays in an indoor/outdoor run. The indoor part is airconditioned-they can go through their doggy door in their own seperate runs to be in the outside part. They provide blankets, toys, treats, and extra TLC!!!! They get taken out about 4-5 times a day to use the bathroom. They also offer something called "Playschool" its an extra 20-30 minutes (depending on heat/cold) outside with a kennel handler. They have a huge backyard with lots of trees and a dog agility course. My dog loves KPC!!! You are able to bring your own food/toys/blankets etc but they do have their own supplies. If your pet has Meds- They will administer the medication according to the RX directions. All bowls/blankets get washed every morning no matter if they are soiled or not. The Kennel staff is really hardcore about Keeping the kennel clean. At least 4 kennel employees are there Sunday thru Saturday from 7am to 7pm- No matter if its a holiday or not! (yes, they are there on Xmas morning) I would HIGHLY recomend this place to ANYONE who loves their pet. The cat room is Very nice as well. Its located upstiars in a sound-proof room. each cat has their own "kitty condo" (a 2 story kitty condo) We provide Food (if you didnt bring yours) Litter/litter boxes, toys, blankets etc. The cat room is very clean too. THEY EVEN HAVE A HUGE FISH TANK SO THE CATS CAN WATCH "TV!!!!!!!" There is one fulltime Vet, Dr. Bracy. He is a wonderful vet, he has been so helpful and caring with my other 14 year old Malamute who has cancer. I will continue to go to Dr. Bracy as long as he is in the state of Georgia. Dr. Ray works 2 days a week at KPC. He specializes in cats. I have only seen Dr. Ray once, but he was great. My kitty had an upper resp infection and i was on a very strict budget... he helped me find the cheapest/most effective way of treating my kitty. He is awesome, too in my book. The gals up at the front desk are ALWAYS SO NICE AND FRIENDLY. I LOVE KPC. (i know all of this stuff because I came in and observed for 4 weeks mon-fri) I will tell everyone i know to go to KPC.

the vet who saw my dog was not very professional in that he was confused and distracted. he gave us some medication that when opened smelled very bad, which he said was ok. the dog did not get better so i took him to another vet who gave him a completely different (and correct it turned out) diagnosis. the new vet said the medication had not been stored properly and had gotten spoiled.
kpc also sells animals from puppy mill type breeders, which i consider to be almost criminal. since they have such a central location they could do some good in the world by having rescue groups adopt out dogs from their property.

on a positive note, the girls who work there are very very nice.

This location appears to be a very popular/busy place to board your pet. I found their pricing to be more expensive than the boarding facility I currently use for my dog. Their veterinary services were also more expensive than my current vet, whom I find to be more qualified and compassionate. I did have a problem with my dog returning from this facility with a skin condition after one grooming here - they shaved her too close - she had scabs.....
I believe their grooming staff has changed since, however.
They do a pretty good job overall, however, they are not my first choice facility for my pets needs.

The Staff at Kennesaw Pet Center treats our dogs as if they were their own and I appreciate the attention to our needs. We had an issue with a tumor removal that was very expensive for us early in the year and they were very compassionate about the emotional and financial burden it placed on us. We use their boarding and the dogs actually look forward to it.
