Oftentimes, I find myself sick of themed restaurants, and I must say, Jerry J's is one of the few fast food places I can think of where you can get a plate of fried steak, macaroni, mashed potatoes, and a biscuit. And they're doing pretty well. It is good to see a little variety.
But maybe too much, here.
From my experience, the food is either pretty good or rather appalling, never fantastic. Lunch and dinner are always mediocre and breakfast, while much better than lunch, is always prepared sloppily, as if nobody in the back really cared. Original meals like the chicken chunk dinners and the simmered chicken fail to please, and the staff never really seems to care about genuine concerns. Frankly, the only thing left worth spending the con prices is the blueberry biscuits.
But you never know if they're going to have those or not.
In all, it's an alright place to stop if you don't mind the possibility of food poisoning from raw chicken chunks. And, to be fair, it's a nice change from your typical fast food stop. in the end, though, it's worth a glance. Not much else.

I have been attending Jerry J's since moving to Waycross three years ago..great food, good atmosphere, great service...I am a local pastor that also enjoyed the Christian music and the unashamed display of their faith. On Tuesday my wife and I went to the newest location located across from the college for an early lunch-as usual I asked the cashier to add a couple of dollars for a gratuity. As has happened before, I walked away and took a table without picking up the extra $ 2.00. (I paid with a debit card-carrying no cash)-I didn't realize it until we were ready to go-I thought nothing of asking the same cashier for the gratuity cash-but was shocked, embarrassed and humiliated to have her refuse and insinuate that I was being dishonest. She insisted that she did indeed give me the cash with my receipt...I was so embarrassed-surprised and angry that I walked away with several other customers standing at the counter watching and hearing the entire event! I will never enter that location again...being a local pastor I cannot risk having my integrity challenged, without justification.I don't want the cash, I am simply through with that location!Until now I had bragged on this location, took family and church members and friends...I will of course reverse my opinion with those individuals...

Jerry Js is a good place to eat. It has good food, good prices, and friendly staff. The inside is clean and you have good service. The only problem is there is no buffet. There is plenty of parking space and I recommend this place to eat if you want home cooking that taste good.
