The best bakery-hands down! Their desserts are extraordinary and I can honestly say I've never had better baklava or small cakes in my life. If we are in Atlanta, I always make a point to stop in and stare at the rows of delicacies... it takes for ever to choose something to take back home!

We live in Nashville and have always wondered if we could find the Atlanta bakery that supplies the goodies for the Nashville Greek Festival held in Nashville once a year! This is the place! The almond crescents are the same as sold at the Greek Festival...only they are one dollar each, and when they are bought fresh in Atlanta..they are even more wonderful. We bought several other desserts and none of them disappointed. If we had read the earlier reviews before we went, we would have tried the non-dessert items.

I simply love their pastries and cookies. This small shop is always crowded and the smell of the pastries and desserts make your belly grumble. I enjoy picking over the dozens of cookies, choosing from many I do not know the name of. I did order a cake for my little girls 5th birthday. Unfortunately the cake wasn't ready when we went to pick up and we had to wait 20 minutes. I excuse it because it was the day before Christmas. I wasn't too happy with the cake. Many of their ready made desserts look very professional, my daughter's cake looked like it was decorated by someone just getting out of school. It tasted delicious though. I'm not too bothered by the result, but I won't order a cake from them again around Christmas. I had a back up cake from publix that simply stole the show. It was one of those doll cakes. My daughter loved both and felt like a princess with two cakes! All in all I love the cookies, and ready made desserts!

I have been going here for 20 years. It has the best cakes (with wonderful filings) and light fluffy icings. The pastries and cookies are the best I have found in Atlanta. And if you want Greek type pastries, this is the place. Don't be intimidated by the owner--he is sort of like the "Soup Nazi" on Seinfeld, but remember you are going there for the goodies not the conversation!

behind the stoic figures of Greek women is the most wonderful bargain bakery in town. there are others, say in the Morningside n'hood, that do nicely for the expensive, chic crowd, but THIS place has the tastiest spinach pie, pistachio baklava, & cheese pies we could've longed for...and for a dollar, you can't eat better in Atlanta! next time we're filling our bags with sweet treats as well, and we'll be doing a bit of shopping off the shelves too. the sardines and grape leaves looked yummy, and being direct imports from Greece i think we'll have another review to post. Enjoy this n'hood gem!

Pros: great service, amazing prices, baked right there by women who've been baking for 50+ years.
