After 6 weeks and too many phone calls to count, I have decided to take my business and my body elsewhere.
Where do I start?
I scheduled an appt and received a follow-up call to confirm "your appt is scheduled for x/xx/2007. Please call in the event you are unable to keep the appt." I didn't call; there was no need to. I arrived 30 minutes early on the day of the appt to find out my insurance had not been verified by the Dr's office. There were unusual delays and hold-time with the insurance company that day. Over and hour and a half later I was asked to reschedule my appt. Despite the inconvenience, I did so.
The "second" appt went well and I was told I would receive a follow-up phone call within ~10 days. I DID NOT RECEIVE A PHONE CALL within that time so I called and received a message during stated business hours which told me I had called after hours. I left a vmail message. MY CALL WAS NEVER RETURNED. A week later, I called and explained the situation to the receptionist; she took a message for the Dr. and again MY CALL WAS NEVER RETURNED. About a week and a half later, same thing and again MY CALL WAS NEVER RETURNED.
About 6 weeks into this frustration, I called one last time. I explained the circumstances, along with my frustration, once again and declared that if my call was not returned on this 4th attempt I would not be calling again. AGAIN MY CALL WAS NEVER RETURNED. It has been over a week since I placed the last call and I am completely finished doing business with FemCare OBGYN.
If you too value attentiveness and responsiveness in a physician, FemCare OBGYN is NOT for you!
