Tired of the modern mass at your church? Are you aware of the many abuses that take place there, and that being the reason the Holy Father wants the traditional Latin Mass in ALL parishes? And so the youth may become familiar with it.

God has blessed St. Michael's with His Faith, Sacraments, and Life Giving Grace. If you care about the salvation of your soul, you will not let one more Sunday pass without attending Mass there.

I've never been there, but I appreciate its existence. One day, I will go there fore Mass.

Contrary to what someone else here has asserted, this is not a schismatic church. Card. Dario Castrillon Hoyos, the former secretary of the Ecclesia Dei Commission, said explicitly, while secretary of that commisson, that neither the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X nor the faithful who seek the sacraments from Fraternity priests are schismatics. Furthermore, the apparent latae sententiae penalties of excommunication of the four surviving bishops of the Fraternity were recently revoked by Pope Benedict XVI. The official standing in relation to canon law of the four Fraternity bishops, as well as the standing of all the priests under them, is currently ONLY suspension a divinis. In theory, therefore, none of them have the faculties to validly absolve sins or provide witness to marriages for the sake of their validity. However, there are a number of provisions in the 1983 code of canon law that give them "supplied faculties" in a "state of emergency." Furthermore, the penalty of suspension was originally inflicted on them by a decree of Pope Paul VI. I have read irrefutable proof that this decree of suspension was entirely unjust and unnecessary. Canon law INVALIDATES any legal action, even one by the pope himself, which is unjust.

The suspensions are invalid. The SSPX therefore enjoys the jurisdiction supplied for it by the Swiss bishop (whose name I forget) who originally authorized Ab. Lefebvre's project in the late 1970s. All of this will be officially verified when the SSPX's case is finally investigated and judged by the appropriate Vatican dicastery.

The facts are already there. They just need recognition.

It isn't often that an event of international significance has direct implications for Roswell, but one such event took place when Pope Benedict XVI published the document ??Summorum Pontificum? stating that Catholics can in good conscience attend Masses performed according to the traditional Latin rite. The Catholic chapel of St. Michael next to Roswell High School is a spot in Roswell where the Latin Mass is said daily. The folks at St. Michael's have been saying for years that the Latin Mass has always remained a valid and legitimate form of worship for Catholics. After nearly four decades of debate, Pope Benedict has unequivocally confirmed that position. The Latin Mass is the clear and perfect expression of the authentic Catholic Faith, and it has produced saints for 2000 years. Francis of Assisi, Patrick of Ireland, Joan of Arc, Thomas Aquinas, Peter Chanel, Catherine of Siena, Mother Ann Seton ?? all these saints are in heaven now, and the Latin Mass is the Mass that they knew and loved.

Pros: The most beautiful thing this side of Heaven

Cons: None

St. Michaels Catholic Church has daily Mass and a High Mass every Sunday at 10:00 am. The priest faces the altar where the Blessed Sacrament is kept instead of turning his back on the altar as is done in the conciliar church. There is a total focus on the Real Presence of God.

If you want to know you have gone to Mass this is the place to go!

Pros: The True Mass of the Catholic Church

Cons: I wish I lived closer

This Church holds onto the very core of our catholic faith. It continues in our catholic Tradition which we have always known and loved. It is NOT schismatic! But has only defended what is Holy and True! The Society has defended, at all costs the tradition that St. Paul tells us to. I highly recommend to all, to at least visit and attend a Mass there. You will love it and feel once again how the Mass always was and should remain.

Part of a schismatic group, not officially aligned with the Catholic Church. If you want to attend a Latin Mass, go to St. Francis de Sales in Mableton. francisdesales com
