I am distrusting of large daycares, so I originally used a top ranked local CC group-home daycare that has received a distinguished provider award year after year. But I was uncomfortable with the increasingly over-crowded space & the owner allowing her grandsons to visit during business hours. So, I reluctantly switched to A Child's World in Martinez because at least they have cameras and do not allow teenage visitor boys to be around the children. Then we moved to Grovetown & have been VERY pleased with the Grovetown location. I believe the previous negative reviews from a few years ago are no longer valid....those issues no longer exist. I have 3 children who all attend there. I find this daycare to be "by the book" and structured WAY more than the provider who wins the awards each year. The Grovetown location potty trained my 2 year-old, they taught her the Pledge of Allegiance, her colors & they ALL show all my kids genuine love and warmth. The director is typically present and available. They have even worked with my strong-willed child to effectively address a behavior issue. -Oh and the kids pray before meals, like at any Georgia daycare! My daughter's teachers have been there for years, and I have seen zero turnover in the 5 months we've been there. I've been surprisingly pleased.

As a very concerned grandparent I am truly fed up with the headlice reacurring at this daycare. My granddaughter was at a different Child's World for all most 2 years and not one headlice outbreak. She has been at the Grovetown Child's World since Augusta and has had it twice. WHAT'S THE DEAL? I would NOT recommend this daycare.

I work for this daycare and the new director is wonderful!!! She listens to you, talks to the teachers and parents if there is a problem and she has had next to no turnover since I started working there. I have worked for this company for the past 8 years and I have had nothing but great joy and inspiration working with the people.

I went to child World in Grovetown. They did not wear coverings on their shoes in the infants room. Staff not trained and lack of caring, just a pay check job. They don't care who they hire. I would not suggest this day care.

This is one of the absolute worst places you could take your child. I was a young mother trying to take care of my son the best that I can.In October of 2007 I took my seven month old son here where he was bitten several times by a child and no one was called.I just got an accident report when I went to pick him up. The worst bite was right above his left eye. He was also hit by the toddlers. They told me that the infants were kept out of the toddlers reach, they weren't. Once I found out my son had been bit, I was just about the angriest mother I had ever seen. They promised the bitting child would be removed from the room. That was a LIE! The very next day that child bit my son again. The director blamed the current caregiver in the infant room. The director also told me that that caregiver was given a few days suspension for allowing that child back into the room.(I am in no way blaming the bitting child or angry with it). A few days suspension? No.That child almost bit my son in the eye. I immediately took my son out of the daycare. I was still in high school at that time so I ended up missing about 2 weeks of school trying to find a good daycare for him to attend. Both the director and the caregiver should have lost their jobs. This facility is horrible. They do not take care of the children properly nor do they supervise them. If you love your baby, do not take them here. If they already attend, I suggest you pull them out immediately before something happens to them and you'll end up beating yourself up for being so stupid. I know I did.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE
Our child was in this center for about three weeks until we figured out they have problems. The extremely high turnover, lack of director being present a majority of the time during out tenure there and their putting children from ages one to 4 in a room for extended periods of time was intolerable. We found out our child was supposed to be in a room but due to their high turnover our son was placed in a different room with older children. They did not even bother to tell us till our child got sick driving home three days in a row and I went to investigate. The daycare was leaving the milk my child had from lunch in his sippy cup the entire afternoon and then tried to explain that they were giving him warm milk.

This facility has a high turnover rate, and makes it hard for the children to get used to the teachers. They do not always remember to check to see if any of the children's are allergic to certain things. They do not have enough outside toys which then causes the children to fight over toys. More than one time I have went in the center and the smell of bleach was overwhelming. Once they start having discipline problems with the children, they will start calling you everyday to come get your child, and they will suspend your child the next day. My advice to parents when thinking about this center is to talk to the employees and parents and maybe even some that are no longer there.

I checked out this facility and found it very clean, the staff was friendly, the classes were a nice size. Plenty of toys, and I liked the curriculum.
