I need to warn general public buyers before you make a HUGE mistake. Do not go here and get the fun of an auction setting get in the way of being swindled out of all of your money. The cars under $3000 bucks are sold as is, you can't even test drive them. By all means, if you're a dealer, this is a great place to wholesale cars and buy cars in bulk. If not, you're most likely going to drop thousands of bucks down on A LEMON. Hope I didn't burst your bubble, but I'm hoping I save you the intense RAGE I felt after buying a lemon that I couldn't even drive off the lot.

I will say that PSAA is efficient. You can put the same car you bought back on the line and sell it in the auction, however, there is no guarantee you'll get all your money back and you can't do that until you get your title, which takes like a whole dang month. If you're an individual and not a dealer buying, just buy something off of Craigslist. Please.

It saddens me to see so many other people sharing stories similar to mine. I recently became disabled and needed transportation very badly. My brother was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of esophagus cance. He was given less than 5 months. This is my only brother, my big brother, and my hero. He is 54 and I am 51. I just finished my third open heart surgery so things have been pretty cruddy. . We only have each other.

My brother is being treated at the university of Colorado in Aurora. I simply wanted a car that would make that trip. I was going to go very slow. The trip was about 800 miles. I took every last penny I had except $400 for new tires and believing the PSAA website at its word, I headed there to get a car. They said on the website that it is a great place to get a vehicle for a great price. There was no hint that these cars are dangerous rejects that are literally wired together with coat hangers simply to get it down the auction lane.

I bought this vehicle 1 month ago. My brother has been alone because I can't get there. He will likely die without me there simply because some shady car dealers don't care one bit about who they hurt. In fact, I hear they call us "rubes".

Leaving the lot I realized the windows don't work, the radio does not work, the AC that blew cold earlier was hot, the engine shot up to 260 degrees, the spare was flat and 2 tires were plugged on inside wall. This was before I got to the gas station where I saw there was no gas cap. On the highway, if I went over 40 it was uncontrollable.

Too much to list, but bottom line I paid $1,650 plus plus for $2.200 total. The car needs $8,000 in repairs just to drive it. The wheel fell off twice the second day. I owe the tow company and the garage for storage but I can't even sell for scrap because I still am waiting on title.

The parties involved are pure evil. They lack human decency of any kind, and get pleasure from taking advantage of those that can't afford it. In fact, they target us as easy prey. I wonder if they would have let their own blood drive out in my car? I wonder if karma will ever catch up to these people. I wonder if they give a crap about my brother?

*BUYERS BEWARE*
It is truly shameful, that businesses are allowed to stay in business with unethical, immoral and simply janky practices. My husband and I are a young, hard working couple with three very young children. Our income is as such, that a car payment or reputable used car dealership isn't an option right now. But we needed reliable transportation. So we decided to buy our first family van from here. For starters, as others have stated...they have staff or dealers pose as potential bidders only to jack prices way up...then because this place is so far from the core of most cities, they figure ppl will be too mentally and emotionally invested in leaving with something. Which is exactly what we did. We bid $1700 on a 2003 Chevy venture and once all psaa fees/taxes, we were out of $2200. So fast forward to next day, yes next...yes next day...I go to start this piece of junk, and it revs up way too high, jolts and starts accelerating on it's own. I mention this to husband and this is the beginning of end. By day two, van starts sputtering and cutting off. This has been a nightmare. Every single day and I do mean everyday...this van has cut off and or completely leaked all coolant. Most recently, it has started smoking so profusely under the hood, we've had no choice but to park it. We have had an exhaust leak fixed, mass air meter replaced, throttle sesnsor adjusted...and to no avail. We also just paid $379 to have all new tires installed after, I was nearly killed during a dangerous blow out on 85 south. Which btw, the van had mix matched tires. We recently learned that the smoking was likely due to a vacuum leak, and had a new hose installed in meantime. But because we found out this morning, that to simplt pin point this problem, it would be $100 an hour plus diagnostic...we have decided to cut our expensive loses. If you value your families safety and your hard earned money...pls stay far, far Far...FAR away from here. You'd be better off saving up money and catching Marta, atleast until you can afford something with a warranty.

If you're looking for a quality used car, Peach State is best avoided. Buying from Peach State is only slightly better than buying your next car from the local junkyard. If you are skilled at car repairs, there are some OK deals. Buyers that do not feel comfortable working on cars should avoid this auction. Even if you're on a tight budget and feel this is the only way you can afford to purchase a car; do not throw your money away at PSAA. What looks like a great deal will not look so great if you end up only a few miles away with a dead car on the side of the road. Where is the saved money now? The 2 hour preview window, near dusk, is not an ideal time to look a car over. Make sure the engine runs great; chances are the transmission is almost dead. You are only allowed to start the car and place it in gear. The staff can be pushy during the bidding process. Often more than one car being auctioned at the same time. This is very annoying, Come on, they have a lot of cars but not THAT many. In summary, if you are looking for a worn out pile of junk car, Peach State Auto Auction is the place to go! There's nothing there but ragged out junk; don't waste your time or money.

Warning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This place is a reap off... You need to be very careful here...! I advise you not to spend your money or time here. Also, if your not a dealer selling your car, you will be wasting your $20 bucks..

I am certain that any positive review from a buyer above was a lie, excepting maybe the guy with the explorers. (yay family bonding!) I cant believe that a place of business would allow the kind of scams going on there. Pulling out the bulb for a check engine light, taping parts together, using incorrect lugnuts on DRIVING vehicles. Way to go Peach State Auto, is it Auction or Junk Yard? Have some standards

beware that no test drives are allowed when you inspect them....only start and put into gear......and when you buy a car there's a good chance it won't shift by the time you get home with it because it needs a new transmission. That's what happened to me. Oh, and it's funny to see some of the cars smoke and cut off when they are being driven through the auction line! They are mostly dealer rejects and individual consignments that won't sell anywhere else and most flaws can be hidden by no test driving.....add to that some shill bidders who pose as buyers to jack up the prices and get you emotionally involved and you have an outfit that gets rich off public buyers who are clueless. Don't say you weren't warned!

I purchased a 2001 Chevrolet Impala LS on 3/21/2011 and I was no more than about 10 miles if that from the Peach State Auto Auction and the wheel on the rear passenger side completly detatched its self from the car and proceeded to roll down the street and hit a car with a 4 year old in the backseat. I call the Peach State and whom ever I spoke to tried to make me out to be a fool. Nonetheless Police Officer stated that that car should not have even been sold regardless of the "as is" this was clearly endangerment . I will be taking totaly action and my story will be heard one way or another until i at least recieve and apology or something and I do not want this to happen to anyone else so PLEASE PLEASE make sure u know what ur buy there are peopel out here that try ans swindle good people at any cost and its a shame people like me who work hard and for once just try and get a break and than get screwed over big time !! add states " WORRY FREE BUYING" and "CERTIFIABLE" who ever certified ths car should go to jail or loose there job because there was no EXCUSE for what happened !

*******COMPLETE SCAM ARTISTS*** BEWARE..We were referred by a used car dealer all in together obviously in selling unwanted defective crap cars that are unable to be sold as buy here pay here..which are at the bottom of used cars barrel as they cannot get retail financing..We bought a 2001 Mercury Sable as basic transportation. Watch out the cars they run through that are even half legit can be "previewed" for a short time near dusk so you cannot see body flaws. The cars they auction later in te evening without preview have major issues blown head gaskets, water pumps leaking, rods that knock--- pure and simply crap..This is a public auction which baits unwarry consumers unaware of the scams auto dealers pull... If you wish be to separated from your money while being pressured to bid on worthless junk then attend an auction and see...

Went there last night and we were pick-pocketed $1300. There was nothing the auction or police could do. We lost everything we had last night. The owner says it happens all the time too.

terrible experience, the cars are mostly US Auto Sales reject cars that have been through dozens of people with bad credit, ragged out, they don't disclose that some titles are salvage, can't test drive so you gamble on transmission problems, slow staff, you get to deal with bad weather and stand around waiting (hello! 2010! ever hear of internet auctions?) Avoid this crap car auction and don't say you weren't warned

Business Response:

Gary, We open our doors at 5pm and allow customers 2 full hours to check out vehicles. We love when a customer brings a mechanic with them who can help direct them with a purchase. We announce title information on every vehicle if it is branded (rebuilt, true miles unknown, etc). These announcements are made before each vehicle is auctioned off and recorded on video. In the future we will move to online sales as well. We do offer warranties on some vehicles but we do not sell new cars or trucks just a wide variety of preowned.
.

I bought my first car at auction here 7 yrs.ago-- a Ford Escort (1994) for $500.00. We tuned it and put a timing belt on it and drove it for 5years with no problems. I went back and bought another Ford Escort wagon (1995) for $300.00--- did the usual---it's still running. I had my brother's help---he's a mechanic--we had a great time!!!
