Whitlow's Auto Repair is nothing short of quality and honesty
by Kevin H.
Whitlow's is the only place I can trust my family's automobiles with. Seems like "Forrest G" is not telling the whole story with his account at Whitlow's as these are the ONLY people I would trust my $40K truck with.

Upstanding, knowledgeable and friendly
by Cindy J.
I'm always afraid of being taken advantage of when it comes to vehicle repairs because of being a woman. I needed to have the check engine light checked and Whitlow's Auto Repair was recommended to me by a friend. I stopped by without an appointment and Jeff was able to get me right in. Ann offered me a fresh cup of coffee while I waited. In no time at all they diagnosed the problems and let me know there were no immediate safety issues. Since that time, I have returned on several occasions having work done as I was financially able to. They could have scammed me into having major unnecessary repairs done as has happened to me in the past from other mechanics. Instead they have treated me like a member of the family since day one. I recommend their services to everyone. THANK YOU!

Superior work and honest people......thank you!
by Margaret R.
I have used Whitlow's Auto for 8 yrs now, since they came to Conyers. I use them for maintenance and repairs on all of our cars. I feel very comfortable leaving my vehicle in their care. They are always honest and fair. I know that they are doing things the right way and not cutting corners which would compromise the safety of my family. Thank you.

Rife with Incompetence
by Forrest G.
These are not good people.
1) Once they have your vehicle they will "find" additional problems.
2) Snake oil -- "its a good idea to have this additional work done since there would be no additional labor".
Experience - I was not satisfied after driving home my car after the clutch installation, so called back the same day. I was told to drive it around a couple of days and see if it "got better". Car was much worse the next night, so I called back to say I would have it there when they opened. The car was not able to be driven that morning so had to be towed. I was charged the towing fee. Rob Whitlow refused to pay for the tow despite Jeff''s recommendation I not bring it back the day I received it (when it was still drivable). One of the many excuses was that Jeff is not a mechanic, but is a salesman - so why was he giving me advice? While there, one mechanic showed me the problem -- a simple fix -- rubber grommet had disintegrated on a shifter cable. I was told rubber grommets were not sold and the entire cable assembly would need to be replaced with extensive labor to install. I requested a makeshift fix (tensioning the 2 shifter cables with a zip-tie) until I could repair. Owner Rob Whitlow shows up angrily stating to me that they don't do things half-ass and the mechanic shouldnt have agreed and there would be no warranty -- that all bets were off as soon as I let the shop. I was shown a 1/4" wide zip-tie and I was fine with the "no warranty". I paid the tow against my better judgment and got in to leave noting they had broken a height adjuster for my seatbelt. I was able to get this about half fixed. I drove off and lost ability to shift gears within 1/2 mile. Stuck in 3rd I limped to a store and opened up the console to see they had used 2 of the smallest zip-ties I had ever seen (less than 1mm wide) - strung together because they were too short to span the 3 inches needed. Buying items from a grocery store, I was able to make a temporary repair. I returned to the shop (Whitlow's Auto Repair in Conyers, Ga) to return the Buck Knife a mechanic had left in the child seat in my car and to show that I had seen their dishonest work. Owner refused to reimburse tow fee. These are not good people.
Good Business deserves rewards - Bad businesses deserve to reap the fruits of their dishonesty.

great people

I have used whitlows auto for about 4 yrs for my business vehicles. They aren't the fastest but ask for kracker for the best job for a fare price done on-time. there rates aren't the cheapest but then again who wants to rely on a cheap shade tree mech to keep them on the road.
