Our baby is Rob (Boston Rob from Survivor) he is now a happy 9 week old baby kitten because of East Lake Vet. He was found at a day old in our garage with two siblings. We thought all three were frozen to death when Rob moved his little paw. We warmed him up and gave him life. The last 9 weeks have been hard for little rob, but East Lake vet has worked with him every step of the way. Rob has brain and vision issues due to being frozen. On top of that one of our dogs caught Rob running down the hall. We thought that we had lost him. He was bleeding from mouth and nose. At a mininum charge..... East Lake vet worked on poor Rob. From seizures, being blind, and muscle spasms East Lake has taken care of our baby. Three weeks later Rob is running around playing and off of all of his medicine because of the caring people at East Lake. If you are planning on changing vets or just need a excellent vet... THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU PET!

If you love your pets, bring them here!
My little boy Elliot (french bulldog) is part of the family and I know without a doubt that when he is in the care of East Lake that they view him the same as we do. In my 8 years of being a dog owner I have never had the most sincere, family oriented, and quality care my dog has received from this office. I drive well over an hour for my dog to be cared for by an East Lake Veterinarian and I will continue.
Commenting on the review by this pet owner who unfortunately lost one of her puppies during a routine neuter, I would like to first say that I am sorry for your loss BUT, as with any surgical procedure, including those with humans, there are risks. These things are unfortunate but happen. You criticizing this office for you having to pay is ridiculous. Although there were complications and one of the puppies did not make it out of surgery, there were costs to perform whatever it was they had to do to have the surgery as well as the costs because of complications. The doctors and staff still need to be paid for their work and supplies. You sign a release that states that you understand there may be complications at God's will and it is not up to the doctors to pay for the anesthesia, nurses, and medical supplies if something were to happen. I know this was a tragic day for the staff and doctors involved and uninvolved at East Lake based on my experiences. Their patients are their family too.
For those looking for the best care for your pets, East Lake is by far the best in McDonough and Atlanta.

I took my one year old puppies to be fixed, they were healthy, happy and very playful when I dropped them off. I received a call 2 hours later that one of my puppies died during surgery. I told the vet not to perform surgery on the other puppie, that I would come pick her up. When I arrived at the vet the receptionist informed me that the vet expected payment for the surgery even though my dog died. I could not believe how un-carring these people are. After talking to several other people who used this vet they all had horror stories to tell. Needless to say, I have 3 remaining dogs now and I will NEVER go back to this vet. If you care anything at all about your animal do not take them to this vet.

Dr. Andrea is absolutely the best! We followed her from the Henry County Vet Hospital and we'd follow her anywhere. She is professional, she understands animals..but, her outstanding quality is her "bedside" manner. She understands people and she genuinely cares for all the animals she treats. That speaks volumes. If you're looking for an all-round great vet hospital, look no further.

DR. MORRIS IS THE BEST!! We have been through new rescues, loss of elderly pets, various and asundry ailments, etc.... We have had 12 animals under her care over the past 7 years and though they may cost a little more but it's more than worth it. When you have lost a pet and your vet hugs you, and literally cries with you, calls you a couple of days later, and sends you a card as well...YOU KNOW she loves her animals!! Love the staff too. Just wish they had a better boarding facility!

I have been taking our dog for almost 12 years to this Vet. When we got two rescue cats in 2003, I started taking them. This is the most wonderful vet! Prior to East Lake Vet opening, I took our pets to another vet. They were not as caring. Face it, our animals are part of the family. Dr. Morris and Dr. Waggoner are awesome vets. Their employees are interested and caring. I cannot understand the negative feedback - for I have NEVER had a bad experience with East Lake Vet. Our family just lost the dog that we have been taking their for almost 12 years - cancer. (We had him put to sleep - which was one of the hardest things our family has had to endure.) Dr. Morris and the staff were so supportive and caring for I think they felt they were losing one of their family members as well. They loved Romeo and he loved them. Both doctors as well as the staff - Becky, Andrea, Chrystie, Wendi, Carmen and Melanie were there for us. Andrea even came by our house to help me with Romeo. Tears in all of their eyes showed me how much they cared and how much they will miss him. You cannot put a price on that!

If you are looking for a caring, knowledgeable and wonderful doctors/staff, DO NOT LOOK ANY FURTHER.

My dog is in fantastic shape after surgery today. She is recovering incredibly fast. I had an excellent experience with this veterinary clinic.

My only experience there is with Dr. Morris, who is absolutely wonderful. Myself and my Parents have been taking out pets there ever since the place opened and never had a bad experience. The prices are not out of this world like I have seen other people say they are in comparison with other vets I have been too.. actually far cheaper then the vet I used when I lived in North Carolina. Everyone there that I have ever interacted with has always been sympathetic to whatever the reason was we were there, particularly the sad times... they all seem to be true animal lovers and you can not ask for much more then that in a Vet Hospital.

Do not go to this vet. I've been there twice with two of my animals, one being a dog and one being a cat. My dog had parvo, and not only was the hospital way overpriced but she came back home with fleas. When I took my cat, he had an abscessed hole in his arm from a fight. They were very unfriendly towards the whole entire situation and the vet wouldn't actually touch him. I held him when they did his check up procedures and she just touched his nose. I found that to be odd, because she WAS the vet. The vet tech assistant was VERY rude and not friendly at all with my cat's situation and the bill was over $150 just to clean his arm up, because they determined it wasn't abscessed that it was only an injury and he would be fine. I just haven't had the best experience there. The receptionist was nice though. She liked my cat and would pet and touch him. She was helpful, and she seemed very sincere about him and like she cared.

I took both my dogs to this clinic for 2 years. The staff wasn't friendly and they were WAY OVERPRICED!! My neighbor told me about Berry Hill Veterinary Clinic. They were so much more affordable and the entire staff are so nice and friendly!!

This is the only vet I go to. Dr. Morris and Dr. Waggoner are the best! I pass several vets to get to this one. I drive further for the care they give my babies. They have always been very caring and affecionate from Becky and Andrea in the front office to the vets in the back. I have had to put down two of my dogs to sleep over the past several years and they have always been so caring- not only of me but my sick/elderly babies as well. When I was crying they were fighting back the tears. It helps to know that they ruly care about my pets as much as I do. Prices are right in line with other vets in the area but the compassion and service will be hard to beat. I can call the office and they know me by my voice. They ask how my babies are doing and TRULY care- how many other vets can you say give that service? I have had dogs all of my life and have NEVER had this wonderful treatment anywhere. It is certainly worth my driving as far as I do. They do not take appointments and take walk ins only. I find this to be suitable to my needs as I go when I need to. I know that if an emergency happens I will wait- but I would expect that if my dog was the one with the emergency others would wait- that is what I expect. With that being said, I have never had to wait long. When I had to put my Great Dane to sleep and my "mutt" to sleep they let me take as much time as I needed with them- before and after they were put to sleep. I was allowed to spend all the time I neede to say my good byes. I obviously can not say enough great things about them. I have referred everyone I know to them- and everyone agrees they are very compassionate and have great bedside manners! Thank you Dr. Waggoner, Dr.Morris, Christy, Becky and Andrea for a job well done!~Brandy B.

I have a shitzu who was only 2 at the time, I took him to a vet in morrow b/c he had this abcess that kept coming up near his nose. well they told me he had cancer and eventually within 3 months I would have to put him down, I was DEVASTATED!!!!! Me and my husband was in tears. My aunt told me to take him to East Lake for a second opinion, I had been dealing with this greif for almost a month when I had decided to take him in. He seen Dr. Morris, she did a thorough exam and sent in some bloodwork. Well after all that we found out he didn't have cancer and that he only needed some teeth pulled. WE WERE SO HAPPY!!!! The staff and Doctors there are the BEST!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to EVERYONE!!!

Our Siberian Husky started throwing up last night and got worse by about 7a.m. We called a friend who told us about where he takes his animals, so we called East Lake and they said to bring him in. They are the BEST vet clinic and worth any amount of distance to travel, for the great care and attention our dog was given. Dr. Whitlock is a wonderful vet and our dog liked her as well. THANK YOU!!!!!! And the price was very reasonable.

We had a 9 week old lab mix that started having seizures, that within 6 hours turned into cluster seizures. We were at the vet when Dr. Whitlock arrived on a Saturday morning. She took us right in, even though the office was not open and immediately began treating her. The care she and her staff showed to the puppy, and to us was above and beyond. They were absolutely wonderful! I can not stress enough how comfortable we were and felt like we were dealing with family. Thank you!!!!

I took my dog to East Lake Veterinary Hospital for her yearly shots. I told the girl up front that I thought my dog was pregnant. The vet checked my dog and said she thinks she is pregnant and could not give her shots. She swabbed her ears, and charged me $60. If they would have told me that you couldn't vaccinate a pregnant dog then I would still have my $60. This vet is overpriced. The doctor and staff were however friendly.

Dr. Beth Brown and the staff at East Lake are great. My cat Duncan was diagnosed with Diabetes about 2 months ago. Dr. Brown went above and beyond to get me the information I needed to tackle Duncan's health issues. I had to kennel him while I was on vacation and they spoiled him even more than he already is. I really appreciate how caring everyone is at the clinic. Dr. Brown is very experienced and very knowledgeable. I would recommend Dr. Brown and this clinic for anyone looking for quality health care for their pets. After about 2 months, Duncan is OFF insulin and looking and feeling great!!!

Professional and caring, the employees of East Lake Veterinary Hospital make even the animals happy to be there (well most of the time). The office is upscale, clean and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The veterinarians often call your home to further check on your sick animal. The wait is usually no more than a five minutes, and the fees are compatible with other animal clinics in the area.
