I wish I had discovered Curves years ago. This location, which is walking distance for me, is small and friendly. Only women work out at Curves, and there are no mirrors or leotards. A workout takes 30 minutes. The recommended number of workouts is 3 a week. The women at my Curves range in age from early twenties to around eighty, and are all sizes. Even the trainers look like real people; there are no super-models here. This is the easiest exercise. The exercise is so easy I did not really believe it could be effective, but in two months I've lost pounds and inches, and I have added flexibility and stamina as well. Curves is very addictive; once you start, you will want to continue!

PROS: Easy, friendly, effective, inexpensive, fun, addictive
CONS: Not open on Sundays or late night
