I have been dealing with the folks at Dr. No's for over 20 years and I have never been a fan. They are the closest, and therefore they continue to get my business on occassion.
The owner, Clff is a egotistical elitist jerk who acts towards most people as if they were lower than him on the evolutionary charts. He has ALWAYS behaved that way, and I do not see him changing that pattern of behavior EVER. Granted that he writes and publishes a weekly comic review guide for the Atlanta area, but that does not give him carte-blanche to treat his customers as "underlings".
The product on the shelves is way overpriced, and if you attempt to point this out to anyone on the staff, then you are ignored. If you touch something in the store and it is not handled in the manner that the staff wants it handled, then you are asked to buy the item. I have had this happen on several occassions, and yet I have never bought any of the items in question.
I hate that this business has developed such a "love'em or hate'em" reputation. But they have done it to themselves. I look forward to the day when Dr. No's comes under new ownership and management. Perhaps then they will lose their elitist mentality.

First, I'm not a comics collector. But I had heard there was a comic with Solomon Kane.
So I went to this store, and was looking along the comics for a few minutes. I found a couple of the comics, and was looking at them to try and determine which was the 1st, 2nd, etc.
Some guy comes over there and says "Sir, we'd prefer you not look at the comics if you aren't going to buy them."
He just insured that I wasn't going to buy them, or anything else from them, ever again.
How am I suppose to know what to buy if I'm not able to look at it? Absolutely unforgivable.

The selection is great and while their back issues are over priced I've found that they are not the only ones who over charge, just check out Oxford Comics in Atlanta. I make it a practice of not buying back issues at any stores. The staff is pleasant and goes out of it's way to pull issues for me that they think I may want even if I do not end up buying them. Admittedly I spend a nice peace of change in the store each week so it behooves them to be nice to me but I've had bad service in places I've frequented before so it's not guaranteed. I normally don't bring the kids because they are anal about keeping the merchandise in good condition but I can understand that especially if you ever see how people throw books around at say a Barnes and Nobles.

Every person I know who's been to Dr. No's can name at LEAST one bad experience they've had with them. They're prices are very inflated, and if you're looking to play any card games you should probably go to Super Games in Alpharetta or Hobby Town in Kennesaw. Dr. No's likes to kick people out for inappropriate reason's and they're are quite rude if you try to give them any constructive criticism. The ONLY reason they are still in business is because they are local in Kennesaw and they manage to sell they're comics less than regularly. Don't even consider Dr. No's for anything!!! There is a reason why people all over Georgia drive the extra 30 minutes to an hour to just to go to Super Games or hobby Town even if Dr. No's is just down the road.

You won't find a better comic shop than this. They have more comics than any other store, and I've never seen so many graphic novels in one location--there are thousands of titles, including two books I was looking for that have been out of print for years! They also have a very family-friendly store with a HUGE section of stuff for younger kids who want to read comics. I saw where someone complained about them charging to play, but what he said isn't right. I've been in their tournaments dozens of times, and they ask that you either pay the tournament fee or buy a pack if you want to stay and play during the tournament--they don't ever charge both. And they are very good about stopping people from cussing, which is good becuase a lot of their players are kids for games like Yugioh. It's my favorite comic shop.

If you are looking for back issues, avoid this store like the plague. While they have the best selection of back issues in the area the prices are so over inflated it is ridiculous. They do not sell any back issues for less than 3.50, even if it is stickered lower than that. Comics that you can find in 50 cent bins at other places they sell for at least $3.50. This is why they have so many back issues because nobody buys them. The staff is OK but they seem more interested in gaming than they do comics.

I went to Dr. Nos to play a card game and I got there early so I browsed around and bought something then continued to browse and the asked me while I was still here and asked me to leave. I told them I was here to play cards and they said oh well its five dollars to play. I said ok then they asked if I was gonna enter the tournament and I said " I already gave you my money" but it turns out that was just to stay in the store. f them so I said I was gonna leave and they wouldn't give me back my money and then tryed to make me pay for curseing. I hate them I spit on them.

It you are looking for a particular comic, this is your place. Dr. No's has been in business FOREVER and they know their stuff in there. I have been numerous times in search of gifts for my brother and they have gone above and beyond in helping me find what he requested, and even did some after hours digging for me once to help locate a particular comic. They length of time they've been in business tells you all you need to know. Kudos!
PROS: service, service, service!!!

If collecting comic books is your thing, then Dr. No's is the place for you! They have thousands of comics as well as the ability to order what you need. They also have hard to find 'unique' games as well as books for many role playing games. They host miniatures games several nights a week as well as collectible card games. The store has been around for YEARS and the staff is incredibly knowledgable.
