Horton's is a landmark in Carrollton, located on the square this location has been Horton's for at least 30 years. The store even has an old hand-crank style register that works. The selection upstairs is a variety of gifts, bibles and children's books with a small selection of new books on the top 100 lists. Horton's is happy to order books for you and can be a good source for hard to find books. Hortons real treasure to me is the basement . Herein is a treasure trove of old books of all different sorts, from paperbacks to hardbacks, fiction, selfhelp books, cookbooks, legal books travel books, ect.. I have never gone downstairs and not found at least 10 books I wanted and all the books downstairs are discounted.

PROS: Wonderful experience for book lovers and gift-seekers alike
CONS: Best selling authors only for new books upstairs.
