I went to visit a friend in Conyers for the evening of Oct 30, 2010. \r\n\r\nAt the time that I had made it there, some where around 8pm in the evening, it was a full restaurant. There was one table open and we sat down. We then noticed that there was only a half of an attempt to wipe the table down. We asked that the table be wiped again. That was the first mistake.\r\n\r\nA woman came out and brushed what food particles remained, into our laps. Another guy came to the table to take our order.\r\n\r\nI had not had a thing to eat since early that morning so I was starved and would have eaten the napkins on the table. Almost an hour later, our order showed up. We had been talking during that almost hour that our order should be coming up. We asked the waiter once and he said that he would check on it. Second mistake.\r\n\r\nFinally at almost an hour, it showed up. The pizza looked like it was cut but when we went to pull it apart we couldn't. It wasn't cut all the way through. I flagged down the waiter and asked for a knife. Only forks are supplied at the table. He asked why and if I needed to cut it into smaller pieces. I said that I just need to cut it all the way through. He said ""The pizza is already cut'. \r\n\r\nMy friend that I was with, then lifted the side of the pizza to reveal the bottom of it and there were no cut marks on the bottom. He grabbed the pizza and said that he would take care of it.\r\n\r\nNow, I am usually very wary of sending food back to the kitchen after it has been delivered for fear that something else non hygienic will be done to the food. I wouldn't put it past this place for something like that to happen. I put my hand on the tray and politely asked to be brought a knife instead. I was told ""No"" and with a yank the pizza went back to the kitchen.\r\n\r\nAbout 2 to 3 minutes later it showed back up cut. The very first bite of the pizza seemed a little chewy to me. My friend said that it tasted half cooked. \r\n\r\nI was so starved that after waiting now one hour and 15 minutes to eat, any thing was becoming appealing. \r\n\r\nI had already started on the second slice when my friend decided to take off the toppings off the piece. My friend then was scraping pizza dough off of the pizza. My friend then took the second slice dumped the toppings off the second slice and called the snooty waiter over to the table. \r\n\r\nI had already downed the second piece of mine and on the third piece decided that it really needed to be cooked more and waited for the waiter. I had left the last third of my half of the pizza on my plate.\r\n\r\nWhen the waiter finally made it back to the table, my friend then scrapped a ball of dough the size of a quarter off of the pizza with the waiter standing there and said that this was the worst pizza that they have had.\r\n\r\nThe waiters response. ""I'm sorry"" that is all that he said. I then looked at him with a very confused look on my face. I guess I was expecting too much customer service out of this place.\r\n\r\nHe then said to me ""So, I guess you don't need a box for the rest of it."" I said no that it needs to be cooked more. He then grabbed the tray and headed back to the kitchen. \r\n\r\nHe then returned to the table with bill and expected the full price to be paid for something that wasn't edible. My friend then asked to speak to the manager. We were told by the waiter that ""Steve, the manager was out somewhere and couldn't be found""\r\n\r\nI paid the bill in full, some $21 and change for an inedible pizza and two glasses of tea, and left . I will never return and if you are in the area and don't feel like getting ripped off, like I did, I would suggest that you don't visit this restaurant or the entire chain of mellow mushroom. \r\n\r\nIf you have problems with what they serve you, the though there is ""Too Bad, pay up.""\r\n\r\nI am appalled at the decline of this once long ago fine establishment.

\r\nI typically go to this restaurant for a sandwich once a week until recently. 2 weeks ago my husband went to pick up 2 large sandwiches for us and for the first time they were HORRIBLE. The wheat bread was stale, the chicken was overcooked I could not finish it and it was a waste of money for the both of us. In these times it is a big treat to eat out. What has been worst is my attempts to have the matter resolved the first time I called with the issue the young lady took my information and advised me that someone would call me. The next time I called I actually spoke with the owner and he told me the bread was not stale he knows that for a fact, then said he had to look into and call me back. Needless to say noone has called me back. I will no longer patron this restaurant not because of the error but the way in which it was handled. Everyone works hard for the money they make and the consumer should never be treated like a liar or ignored or like they don't matter at all. Thanks for your money now be gone. I am deeply disappointed and I hope that this will never happen to any other hard working americans just trying to enjoy a treat at their favorite place. Thanks for disrespecting my time, my money, my concerns \r\n

Pros: In general the Food is good

Cons: Service, management, owner needs some courses on customers

I have frequented this establishment a few times before but on Friday June 19, 2009, I receiveced less than specatacular service. I was one out of a party of six and we choose to sit out on the patio. Our server informed us that there was only two draft beer selections that were on special when previously there were several options to choose from. For example, the previous time,we came as a party of four on a Wednesday and I got a Magarita on the rocks for a dollar. We eventually stated that we would accept the available draft beers for 1.25. Our server informed us that it would be cheaper to get a pitcher for 3.60. Since two of the six of us werent drinking we agreed. She asked us for id and went to fill our order. Soon after that, another server who we had for a previous visit came out with the pitcher and glasses. She requested our id's once more stating that the other server was about to go home and she would be taking her place. \r\nWe placed our food orders and our new server made sure that she had them correct. To make a long story short, our server informed us that the price we were told for the pitcher ended up being incorrect but she would speak with her manager to see if she could honor the price. Once we wrapped up, the server told us that she would have to charge us for the pitcher plus and additional drink. the total ended up be less than $2 however, Mellow Mushroom refused to honor the price that the first server said and told us that they could eat the cost on food but they could not take a loss on the drinks. They did not take a loss on the drinks but they definitely took a loss of six customers who were new to the area who wanted to find a place where they could hang out on Friday nights. \r\nI would suggest in ther future that they train their management staff on how to handle customers with issues such as ours. I would have took the 1.25 loss to keep six customers frequenting my establishment. Needless to say we will not be returning to the Mellow Mushroom in Conyers but will make the trip to Stockbridge instead.

Pros: Great Calzones

Cons: Poor Service

.

Try the White Pizza...it is really good. This is a cool hangout - lots of young people working here, though, so the service is OK but not supreme, but heh, it's a PIZZA joint!
