I moved here and notice this daycare was so convenient for me being that I worked on post and I think that??s what we all do. BAD decision EVER. I started bringing my baby girl there (age 2) at first I was like oh yeah their good. I started to notice every time I picked my child up she was soak n wet but yet she always needed pull ups.
Not just that the staff in that age group was always getting switched out(fired) every other week. The lady that was working the front desk(the islander but she??s gone now) was messing with several of the kids fathers and the Director and staff knew that was going on. Can someone say Adultery!!! They don??t write accident reports and they don??t let you know what happened to your child until you come and pick them up! I began to start popping up on them just to make sure my child was ok.
Once another child hit my child in the face with a container that should have been put up high and they called my job saying it wasn??t an emergency but my child nose was bleeding! All I can say is please don??t fall for that daycare you will regret it if you do I promise you that!!!

I currently have 3 children that attend The Village and I have been extremely pleased with the care that they have received. Each of my children LOVE it there. Aside from the beauty and cleanliness of The Village the staff is wonderful as well. Any concerns that I have ever had were dealt with IMMEDIATELY with care and importance. The staff made me feel welcome to visit and spend time with my children while at daycare. My son was in their Pre-K program and he learned to read, write, speak Spanish, and do math. He went to Kindergarten more than prepared. He is in 2nd grade now and is a straight A student. He has always been an honor roll student and I am so proud of him. I have run into some of the other parents that had kids in the program with him and they all say the same thing.

Everything that The Village does they do in ??grand style? from the Christmas Programs, the 4th of July Parade, to Pre-k graduation. My family loves it! My husband and I count it a blessing that we can go to work knowing that our children are taken care of and are in very capable hands. The Village is a home away from home for my kids. It??s more than a business-it??s a family. To us that is PRICELESS! We love The Village and know that you will too!!!

I took my child here because they place seemed very nice. They had security features that appealed to my husband and I. They seemed very nice. We liked the play ground and seemed cleaner than previous places we visited. The only problem was with the fact that daughter has a lot of food issues so I wanted to let my daughter bring certain foods to replace from their menu. It was almost impossible to get them to understand how it effected my daughters health even with the Dr.s documentation to such. They even argued about it in there office. I could hear them. I eventually won but I felt very uncomfortable with the situation and it took awhile the for the kitchen lady to get use to me bringing my daughters food. First they told me to go into the kitchen and give the food then she got rude and said "stay out of my kitchen" bring her food to the door. I eventually pulled my daughter out because my uneasiness got the better of me and plus it cost WAY to much to keep my daughter there. If you go on vacation you have to pay almost full price just keep your spot even though you are not there. The teachers that my daughter had were pretty nice. I did not have problem with her teachers but other teachers would let my child eat things I did not approve then she would break out in rash. I did not like that. So we left and have not looked back.

It seems nice, and I bought into it. Children are not treated well, some of the things my son said that he was told were borderline verbal abuse. Also, the staff tried to pin us as racist, INTERVIEWING A 5 YEAR OLD CHILD WITHOUT PARENTS. She then manipulated him, such as, he likes black kids, so she asked him if he like brown kids, he said no, because he doesn't like the COLOR brown, he was 5 years old, children aren't racist. He was talking about a shooting star he saw to a black boy he was friends with (this all started when they said my son choked him, after talking to the teacher, and the boy, it was confirmed they were playing and pushing each other, they didn't even know why this was happening, neither did the teacher.), she then managed to twist it into him saying, "My mommy has a broken star, you can wish on it to be white if you want", this is all in a written statement taken by her, with only two 5 year old children present as witnesses.

All these problems seemed to happen after I mentioned we had never had a problem with our son up north, and I was mainly mentioning that the south seems to raise children a little differently (I've noticed this after 6 years down there, and it's not concentrated to 1 ethnicity). Draw your own conclusions, but the only reason a law suit wasn't filed, was for the sake of my son. I could've lost my stripes if they would've tried to be slick and get my unit involved (I doubt THEY would believe it, but an EO complaint must be dealt with. Half my best friends are black for cryin' out loud).

They run a mad house, and can hardly keep staff, mainly because of the woman in charge, they can't stand her. Kids are treated badly, yelled at (we all have to do it, but I've heard it, you don't yell at toddlers like you're in a barfight). Also, you pay $90 a week , even if it's 1 day. Do yourself a favor, don't go here, there's plenty of other good daycares, there's a lady down by the old Hurricane's that is good, and another down by the family dollar, a couple of real southern lady's, Also, the one down by the new school they built is very nice, Ms. Nicee (Nee-See) Is awesome, and the others are as well.

I know it's hard to find daycare spots, but you'll waste your money at the Villiage, I've seen a lot of people last 1 day there, we went 2 weeks before we pulled our child out. I made sure to let all my married soldiers know, this is not a place you want to put your kid.

I came in here with a friend of mine, to see what this place was like. The place was so colorful and really decorated. There was a small wooden replica of a white gate near the hallway, and the walls had so many pictures drawn by the kids.

The playgrounds had a lot of things to play on, and all the kids seem so happy there. The teachers were very nice, and got along with the kids very well. The kids got along well with one another, and all were happy to be there.

All the rooms are neat, despite how kids have a habit of making a mess. This is a wonderful place to leave your kid, and the prices are that bad either.

PROS: Neat, great playgrounds, kids interact with one another
CONS: None
