Unsatisfactory. That is an understatement. The tech (whose name I will omit because he scares me a little) came to my home and aside from being just rude in general actually accused me of lying to him about what had been done on my HVAC system. I told him I had never touched it and he told me that I was simply lying!? LOL I would not touch my HVAC system other than to turn it off/on. I can 't fix a toilet, I'm really not comfortable trying to fix a HVAC! So he reported to the warranty co that it had been tampered with and the claim was declined. Then I had another company come out from the warranty co (a 2nd opinion) and the guy fixed my HVAC! Love that company and will be sure to post on their page. I would NEVER call Summerbreeze again. I have alerted my warranty co. to never send any technicians from there to my home again!!

Awful! They do not pick up the phone ever and if they answer they have an attitude. They ALSO do not return phone messages if the answer machine is on so do not waste your time! They make promises and do not follow up. Technician lied and said we had done something to the unit during the weekend and between 1st and 2nd visit. Valerie,I apologise for the bad experience you had.We have 8 different Techs running service calls for our company.I am not familiar with this situation you have had with us,Please call me at the office or e-mail me at breeze4081@bellsouth.net I would like to know which Tech was at your house so that he can be reprimanded and retrained or fired if neccesary.We are a high volume company and typically run 60 calls a day during the summer season,therefore I do not always hear about customer complaints until I see them on these review sites.

We called AHS about two days ago to complain about our AC not functioning properly. They sent SBH&A to our home today. I wasn't at home at the time and my wife was here with the tech. She said he checked the pressure and temp of the unit and told her everything was fine. He also said that our filter was too dirty and causing the problem. Our filter was due to be changed out on the 11th of June. It was NOT dirty enough to cause the problem. I replaced the filter today, and just as I suspected... Nothing! We were charged $60 for a guy to come out and say that a filter 2 weeks past the 90 day mark was the whole problem. I called AHS and had a problem actually reaching a human being. So, then I grabbed my receipt and called SBH&A. The person I spoke with, Wendell, was very rude and had an attitude problem from the beginning. He cut me off in the middle of my explanation of what was going on and told me that the tech was right and the 100 degree weather was the problem and that I should shut my blinds, or some nonsense. This problem was not just discovered 2 days ago and it certainly hasn't been 100 degrees since we noticed the problem. Our laundry room/ Pantry vent doesn't work and the master bath is freezing. Every other room in the house is a balmy 80 degrees. I know what my house feels like in the summer when my AC works!! It doesn't work, Wendell!!!! He then rudely told me that they were "not booking any calls until next Tuesday". "Booking any calls"?!! There shouldn't be any calls to book!! You didn't earn the $60 you basically ripped us off for today, I shouldn't have to book anything to get a return trip. A much better technician told us a few years ago that we had a slow leak in the system and we'd probably have to get it refilled with coolant every couple of years. It's been a couple of years! This could have been a quick fix and everyone could be happy if the tech and the management of this company knew what they were doing. It doesn't surprise me at all that this company has gotten so many complaints. What does surprise me is the the BBB has given them an "A" rating. I just want them to come back out here do a real diagnosis, pump some coolant in my AC and go about their business! They have already been paid!!!

I apoligize for your poor experience.Our tech did check the freon pressures in your system and they were normal,The manufacturs say replace your air filter every 30 days.Ac systems are designed to drop the temp inside a house 20 degrees below the outside temp.Your home warranty co would not cover your airflow issues because thet are due to the poor design of the air ducts in the ceiling.When people call the office yelling,and belittleing me and my staff we do our best to maintain a professional demeanor.We ran 4000 service calls and did 200 new installs in 2012 and 99.9% of our customers were happy with our service.Thank you for your review.

I wish I could say that I'm shocked by the reviews, but rather I'm agreeing with the majority. I had requested service through my home warranty company and they recommended Summer Breeze. I was hoping that everything would work out ok...well not so. Yes our unit was fixed, but the customer service was horrid. The tech came to my house where my mother was waiting for him since I could not be present and he walked in,no introduction and simply stated " Where iz it at?" Really?! She really didn't know exactly which IT he was referring to so she told him where the furnace was since the AC was causing water to back up in the surrounding area...he simply walked upstairs and to the attic and proceeded to do whatever he was going to do...later he walked in and out,back and forth. Once he was finally finished, he asked her "Um, well who has the check, or where is it?" Again, REALLY?! No explanation of the problem at hand or the what was fixed. My mother said " Not yet, you haven't told me anything about the problem, I have to tell my daughter SOMETHING when she gets home,and you haven't said a word". Well at this point, he looks to the side at my 21 yr old who happens to be over at the time as if my mom was stupid and getting on his freakin' nerves..and he huffed out a dry response of " Yes ma'am...everything was fixed". Then she said.."Ok...like...?!" ..Then again..a dry response of " Uh....the unit had a clog!" She then asked about the water around the furnace area..then he said " Well I guess you have to get a towel or buy a WetVac.. By time she tells me this, I am furious! I have enough issues as a homeowner alone and I don't feel that any customer that is paying a contractor to utilize their services should be treated like trash...and unprofessional with attitude..and that's how I felt !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am shocked by the reviews I am seeing about Summer Breeze - so much so that I'm using time I really don't have to add my two cents. I do not think all the negative reviewers lied about their experiences, however I must say none of their complaints were my experience AT ALL. I had SB out last year, through my home warranty company, after three other companies had been out over the course of 2-3 months. SB was the only company who finally fixed the problem! And the only company who could even theorize and explain why my system was acting the way it was. I found the techs knowledgeable and courteous, timely, and professional. I, too, have kids and was in the same hot summer as everyone last year. I can't imagine how hard AC companies must have been working last summer, and as bad as it was temp wise, I'm sure there were people who they just couldn't please. I must admit though, many of these negative reviews sound like they are coming from customers with little empathy for the mass of people with AC issues under the extreme conditions of last year, and I have a lot of respect for the company responding so openly to many if not most of these reviews. I'm sure they had to hire more techs, and I'm sure there were a few bad apples, and I'm sure the whole process suffered as a result. If you are considering using them though, I couldn't give them a higher recommendation based on my experience. I have referred them out to friends, and I will be calling them if I have any issues this year. Good luck Summer Breeze!

Ok-these guys are not as bad as these reviews may seem. I called my warranty company, Summer Breeze showed up in 48 hours, fixed the issue and its done. I am not sure I could ask for more. They were professional and timely. I did not have my entire unit replaced nor was it a huge job but it was a few repairs and replacement of an item. They did well

We went out to William s home back in March 2011 and repaired his furnace on behalf of his home warranty company The Warranty Global Group.At that time we replaced the Pressure switch and hot surface ignitor.Mr s paid us the $50 deductible for the service call and his warranty company paid us $232.00 for the repair.The warranty for these repairs are 30 days labor as stated on the invoice we left him and 90 days on the ignitor.Mr S called our office in Nov 2011 yelling at our dispatcher that he no longer had a home warranty and we better come fix his furnace.We advised him that the warranty had elapsed.He then accused us of putting used parts on his furnace and said our tech must be incompetant.He then sent us a e-mail stating that we were going to come out and fix whatever was wrong with his furnace or he would send e-mail blasts to all his friends and coworkers.We consider Mr s to be a bully and a hater and certainly do not want him as a customer. If Mr s had called and behaved as a gentleman instead of making threats and accusations we would have worked with him even though the work done was no longer covered by a warranty.

This is one of the busiest weeks of the year for AC folks and Summer Breeze went out of their way to get the install completed this week. I have interacted with 3 employees and all were courteous and helpful. If I need any other heating or AC work done, I will not hesitate to call them.

They also advertise on their web site that they are a member of the Better Business Bureau. response We are sorry Cliff for your dissatisfaction.During thehot summer months we sometimes get overwhelmed with service requests usually up to 50 service calls a day.Unfortunately we dropped the ball in your case.We have 12 complaints on the bbb site out of over 30,000 calls we have run since opening the doors in Feb 1998,thats about 1 complaint per 2500 calls.We strive to satisfy these complaints to the satisfaction of both parties.Most of the complaints are Home warranty issues where claims have been denied or non covered charges issues.The respective warranty companies know of these issues and we have resolved the issues to their satisfaction.We are sorry that all complaints can be resolved by both parties at times through the years of service.Please stop in our office any time or call us back and we will refund your money for your service contract and once again we apoligize for the poor customer service you recieved.

Worst company ever. We've been without A/C for almost 2 weeks and nothing has been resolved. They don't return the phone calls and customer service sucks. They don't even return the phone calls to the warranty company. I don't recommend them at all to nobody. Do not use their service.

response We apoligize for your dissatisfaction you have had I invite you to call me at the office Mon-Fri to discuss your issues.We communicate with Warranty company reps daily but during peak demand in the summer months the wait times can be over an hour.If you have had to wait 2 weeks that does not sound normal.If your warranty company authorises repairs and parts are available repairs shoul be made asap.Please call the office to see if we can rectify your service problems in the future.

Unfortunately i have to at least give them a 1 star rating.

My warranty company uses Sumer Breeze, so the AC is not working and we requested a visit. They came promptly at 5:00pm and proceeded to check my system. The repair needed was an "Acid Wash" for the coils and we were told that they needed to check with the warranty company to see if that would be covered and they would contact me "first thing" tomorrow (7/9/2010) and get this done asap.

Well, it's 10:38 on 7//9/2010 and i have yet to receive a call from them. So i called the warranty company and they said that no one contacted them about my claim today and that every repair man that has been working for more than 1 day would know that washign the coils is not covered. She then said that they should have suggested to do it immediately and should have never left.

So my 2 calls today have been to receptioinists because "all the service agents are busy". At 10:00 i was told that they were "all in a meeting" and that "she cannot give me an estimate of when they can get to me". When i forced her to give me a date, she said Monday at the earliest. 7/12/2010. That would officially be one week without AC in almost 100 degree heat.

Needless to say, the warranty company is on the line and i was highly suggest that they do away with Summer Breeze.

Terrible experience, terrible attitudes, terrible technicians, terrible receptionists, dishonest receptionists, dishonest technicians.

On Friday i called SummerBreeze, only to get the "All of our Technicians are not available. Leave your number and they will call you back." at 8:30. Called again at 9:30 and again got the "All of our Technicians are not available. Leave your number and they will call you back." Finally talked to someone around 10:30 and they informed me that it would be MONDAY before they could get to fix my issue. Remember, these are the same people that left my house without doing the work, as well as saying "We'll call you immediately on Friday morning after we check with the home warranty company to see if this is covered and schedule a time to come fix this on Friday". It is now Monday 9:16 and i have yet to get a phone call. Thankfully i called out someone else who fixed my problem without "An acid wash".

Finally talked to someone around 10:30 and they informed me that it would be MONDAY before they could get to fix my issue. Remember, these are the same people that left my house without doing the work, as well as saying "We'll call you immediately on Friday morning after we check with the home warranty company to see if this is covered and schedule a time to come fix this on Friday". It is now Monday 9:16 and i have yet to get a phone call. Thankfully i called out someone else who fixed my problem without "An acid wash".

Again, Terrible experience, terrible attitudes, terrible technicians, terrible receptionists, dishonest receptionists, dishonest technicians. You can also add thiefs, for trying to sell me something i didnt need.

response Emanuel,We are sorry for your apparent poor service with us.Some of the warranty plans do cover acid washing your coils if you have the premium coverage.During peak times we have had trouble getting through to warranty companies on the phone for approval codes to do work.At times this summer we could not get through to get approval after our techs waited on the phone for 45 minutes and we made repairs without autho codes to satisfy the customer.In about 15 cases we were told they would not cover the repairs and we lost arond $2000 because we did the repairs and when notifying the customers of this they said that was our problem and would not pay us.Due to the overwhelming demand for service from Summerbreeze this summer due to the temps staying in the 90s for 7 weeks straight we did not respond to all service issues as well as we would like.We are striving to improve all the time.

Summer Breeze was sent to my house by my home warranty co AHS on 6/14. On that date they told me they would have to order a part coming from CA and it would be 6-7 days before it would arrive. I asked to have them ship it Next Day Air and I would pay shipping....nothing. I called every day and finally got an answer on 6/18 that it would be there on 6/22. 6/22 they came out....WRONG DAMN PART. Tech assured my husband that they would have a replacement on 6/23. When I called, receptionist told me the tech never said that. Why in the world would either of us lie about it? Tech even went into details about what to do in the interim. Now they are telling me it will be another 6-7 days before the new part comes in...provided its right. By the time it finally gets here we will have been w/o AC for 21 days and we have a 4yo son who's bedroom is hovering at 96 degrees EVERY SINGLE DAY! Now, how would they feel if it were their son/family? OH...and when I called on 6/23 and asked to speak to the owner or someone in charge, receptionist told me she would have to take a message. Over 24hrs later still no return call. Nor have they called back AHS.

So, i called Cool Max in Suwanee @ 1pm today. They sent a tech out at 2:30 (same day). He actually looked at my AC unit INSIDE THE HOUSE and it was determined it was a blown fuse. Not a circuit board!!! Cool Max got our business and they are wonderful. Do not do business with Summer Breeze. They have no clue what they are doing.

We had them reffered through AHS- I found them very unprofesional and sloppy. The back office is rude. I checked the work after it was completed and the insulation was not replaced just taped and torn. I would not recomend in the past we have relait much more honest.

response Sorry for your dissatisfaction.The warranty companies do not cover for us to replace the insulation on supply plenums on evaporator coil change outs.It is standard practice in the the industry to retepr with aluminum tape and and seal with duct mastic.If you are still unhappr notify your warranty for a recall and we will be happy to come back and reseal your insulation or replace if AHS authorises us to do this.

Had to use this company per my Home Warranty! Poor customer service, made such a mess the first time that a second contractor refused to fix their mess. Don't show up when appointments are done, show up when no appointments are done. It's a completely disorganized company, no one knows whats going on. after 3 months I still have not been able to receive a resolution of their poor labor. Karen in the office is the not responsive to your needs, does not call backk when she says she will.

Good luck if you choose to go with this company!

Tech said parts and service would be complete by Friday - 9 days later we hired another company! And they still charged me for the initial service fee. We called 6 times a day and the receptionist said she couldn't tell us if the tech had ordered parts or if he had even showed up to work. But we had to deal with the original tech that came to our house - regardless of how long we had waited. They had no idea what their techs were doing AND the tech just left pieces of our AC lying about in the yard. This company is the worst!

Even after speaking to them yesterday about how/why they didn't show up (they said they didn't have me on the schedule until the next day...?), they STILL mysteriously lost my appointment again today on an emergency call (my roommate's mother's in town and she has a respiratory illness and is having difficulty breathing in the heat). It's 89 degrees in my house and I have wasted time, took time off from work (was scheduled to travel) and been uncomfortable for over two days on account of their ineptitude. Unacceptable.

I was referred to Summer Breeze by my home warranty company. At the time I scheduled the appointment I told her my service provider diagnosed the issue during his routine service call. We scheduled the appointment for 10 days later due to my travel schedule. I took the day off work and waited for the technician to show up. When there was only 30 minutes left of the window they gave me I called, only to get a recording stating to leave a message and they'd return the call. After 45 minutes I called again to find out they had no record of my appointment. The receptionist didn't seem to care and when I got upset she hung up the phone on me. I called back and she said they refused to do business with me. I then called my home warranty company who tried to talk to her but she refused. At this point I wanted someone else because if I can't trust them to show up for a pre-arranged appointment then how can I trust them to work on my system? During the call she kept trying to talk about the fact the home warranty company had bought up several others which had nothing to do with the fact she missed my appointment. I would NEVER recommend doing business with this company that could care less about the customer.

Wendall has been servicing my AC and heating for 10 years. He has installed 2 central air conditioning units and comes out twice a year for service on the furnace. On the second install job, Summer Breeze no longer carried the same brand as the first install. Wendall said he thought the newer brand was better quality but would special order the old brand if that was what I wanted. Wendall does quality work at fair prices. He believes in doing the job right, and will not put a band aid on a serious problem. That might anger some people - but then they have other issues. My father who lives out of town is retired HVAC professional. He says Wendall's work is top notch.

Wendall has never been rude to me or my wife. He has always been a gentleman. He performs the services needed and nothing more. I have never had a problem with his dispatcher or in getting timely service. His service is above and beyond what you get most contractors.

He had one tech that I was not completely satisfied with, and I only saw that tech one time. Wendall admits, good help is hard to find. But I don't think that he would keep any around for long who wasn't top notch.

I am very surprised at the comments stating that Wendall is anything but a total professional. I will not use anyone else, even though a very good friend of mine works for one of the big HVAC outfits.

Came to my home quickly (within an hour or so) for my weak heat. Checked it out & told me the problem, then left & the house quickly got colder. I then saw my thermostat had no power. I paged Summ Bz via answering svc 4 times, the last 2 times asking the owner to call me back. After the 4th page the service tech, not the owner, called me back. By that amount of time I'd gotten a friend to come over & determine the emergency shutoff switch was off. I felt I should not have to pay the svc fee. The svc tech said I should "because they came out", (by the way my home is MAYBE 1/4 mi from their office) & "it was an honest mistake". I never doubted it was honest, I just don't feel I should pay when I had some heat before they came out and NONE after, with 4 phone calls & no fix (except from my friend). They sent a tech that didn't seem to know what he was doing. He said that the outside coils needed to be cleaned & didn't even check the main unit in the house. I called another company that verified that the coils didn't need to be cleaned. That company rep hooked up the pressure gauge and showed me there was a problem. They sent a tech that didn't seem to know what he was doing. He said that the outside coils needed to be cleaned & didn't even check the main unit in the house. I called another company that verified that the coils didn't need to be cleaned. That company rep hooked up the pressure gauge and showed me there was a problem. Needless to say Summer Breeze was useless and a waste of service fee. No wonder so much of their business is with a home warranty company.

We had problems with our HVAC unit for months. My elderly mother had no heat for the entire winter and was getting the run around by her home warranty company. Wendall found and corrected the problem that had been misdiagnosed by 2 other vendors. He found that part of the problem was actually caused by a bad repair job from a previous home warranty representative. We got our co-pay back and the home warranty ended up replacing our thermostat and our outside unit. His office person Jamie was friendly and informative and even went to bat for us. We finally have heat and my mom gets her AC fixed as well. I would highly recommend them. Thanks guys.

In response to being rude to the 7 year customer.We arrived late at 6 pmm to do a complete install.My crew worked until 10pm after starting work that DAY AT 7 AM customer was mad because they worked late at her house.I APOLIGISED REPEATEDLY TO THIS CUSTOMER AND SHE KEPT GOING ON AND ON AND ON WOULD NOT ACCEPT APOLRGY FOR ARRIVING LATE AT HER HOUSE.The customer who says we did not fix her unit apparently wanted to put a bandaid on her system and not make the full and correct repairs to the system.The complaint of not callingher back or warranty company is a lie.We run about 2000 service calls and do around 200 ac replacements a year for her warranty company and communicate daily with repa of AMERICAN HOME SHIELD.We work around 12 hrs a day running calls in 149 degree atticsand spider infested crawl spaces and do not stop for lunch to service our customers and I have yet to meet a person who works as long and hard as I have in this business.Since I started this business we have run about 28000 service calls and have never been sued or taken to court.I am proud of our service record.I I am a graduate of Gwinnett tech in ac technology and served four years in the 82nd Airborne Division where I excelled in all areas. if anyone has a probvlem with our service they can call me at 678-377-2005.

them back which they have not done so.This is a poor excuse for a company.I would not recommend these people to anyone.Remember,
word of mouth is the best form of advertisment.

I didn't have any air in my home and so I called around to find someone who could help us today. We called Summer Breeze Heating and Air and they were able to get us a tech out the same day. We did have to order a part for our unit. When the part came in the next day the tech was out at my home doing the repair that evening, even after hours with no extra charge. Wendall Waye is the worst business owner in the state of GA. He told my husband and I not to do business with his company because we were upset with the level of service from his company. What kind of business owner tells a paying customer to NOT do business with their company if they don't like the service level. He basically told me that since I was upset and if he were me he would not do business with Summer Breeze. He is getting his wish. We have discontinued a 7 year relationship. He is a rude man with no business dealing with the public.

Wendell Waye was rude and did not repair my system. He should not be in business. I had to call him twice to my home and the system is still not operable. He wanted to do more repair but I refused to authorize any more repairs for any additional monies.

Over this summer I was having a lot of problems with my air conditioner. Eventually the whole thing stopped working and I was very afraid I was about to be hit with a huge repair bill. Fortunately Summer Breeze came to my rescue. Their knowledgeable repair person found the cause of the problem and found an affordable way to fix it. We contacted Summer Breeze Heating & Air to clean the AC units; the cleaning went well and the contractor also identified a freon leak that was supposed to have been fixed by a previous company the week before. As such, we were very pleased with Summer Breeze's cleaning and assessment!

Had a 30 year old heater, had to be replaced. They charged extra for the grey compound to connect the air vents to the heater, they wanted to charge $250 for a $75 permit, and other similar items. I got out of a lot of the charges, but the compound I paid extra, and was very poorly done; looks sloppy and less than a year later is coming apart. Instead of replacing a $5 drain pan or offering to let me pay extra, the 30 year old pan still in place, and now 9 months later is leaking, ruining the ceiling. The air vents have a constant banging noise they claim is not their problem, but it never made that noise before.
