I had something making noise in the attic and Mike and one of his techs came out that day to inspect it. They found and entry point, set traps and a few days later the animal was in the trap alive. They came back out to retrieve their trap and the squirrels that they caught. I like the fact that they used humane traps. When they were finished they had the entry point and 3 other points all sealed up. Great Job.

We had a problem with woodpeckers nesting in our chimney, and causing a great deal of damage to the siding a trim. I called a couple of places to get pricing on trapping the birds, and Critter Catchers stated "It will cost $325 to place the traps, and we can fill the holes." They cost about $100 more than the other service that I had priced, but I thought it would be worth it since they would fill the holes too. Little did I know that "filling the holes" is just another service that they offer, it was not included in the price I was given. Against my better judgement, I went ahead and used them anyway since the guy who came out said he could actually only charge me $175 to fill the holes (although he didn't report that amount to his boss).
We were informed that would be likely two birds, a male and a female. They came out to check periodically, and my husband happened to be home when the first bird was caught, so he called them out that day. Woodpeckers are protected, so the traps have to be humane, and it was a Friday when it happened, so we were happy that they were able to come and and get the bird the same day it was caught. Although the bird was alive when we called, it mysteriously was dead when the guy came to get him down. He threw the trap with the bird attached in the driveway and left it there, so my husband had to be the one to dispose of it. We also found the screw that was holding the trap on laying in our driveway. He did put a second trap up, and at the next checkup, he left a note in our mailbox that he had supposedly caught the second bird. About two weeks later another bird was caught in our traps, so I still have my doubts that they ever caught a second bird. We called back to get them to take down the traps, and I voiced my opinions regarding the price changes, and he was supposed to pull my invoice and call me back. I am still waiting to hear back, two months later...

BEWARE THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN...AND CUSS AT YOU TOO! HOW PROFESSIONAL!!! AVOID ACWORTH CRITTER CATCHERS MIKE THAGGARD 424-3080..HE IS UNPROFESSIONAL. HE WILL CUSS YOU OUT AND TAKE YOUR MONEY. READ THE HISTORY BELOW:

I meet with Mike Thagaard the owner of Critter Catchers in Acworth, Ga. He was very nice. He went on my roof and around my house and told me I either had a racoon or possum based on the gray fur at an opening on the outisde of my house. He charged me $325 for the traps and $325.00 to close up holes around the base of the house where the Mike said the animals were entering my house.

Mike cashed the check on December 2, 2010. He left town. I finally got in touch with him 7 days later and told him I had been on my porch and the animal hissed at me. He told me the animal was a possum then because possums hiss. The holes around the house had not been closed with the exception of one..the one with the gray fur that Mike said on the day of his inital visit was probably a possum.

On December 15th I called Mike to see what was taking place with the traps as he had not called me and I heard nothing from him. He told me a possum had been caught and that the holes around the house had been sealed. I told Mike I knew something was still in my attic (which was my original complaint) and Mike said it must be trapped in the attic and he would come out and put traps in the attic and he could catch it in a day or two. I explained to Mike as I original did that my company would be at my house Dec. 17th and I would get back in touch with him as I did not want this going on with the holidays.

I called Mike December 27th after my company left from the holidays to tell that my company heard the animal(s). He told me to call him the next day at 9:30 as I probably had roof rats and that he would have to check my roof. I said ok.

After thinking about what Mike just said I realized he planned to come out and begin a new process and charge me a new fee.
I called Mike on December 28th (today) and told him I was concerned that he did not remember our discussion about the animal being trapped in the attic and that he would put a cage in the attic and have it trapped in one or two days. I told him I felt he planned to come out and charge a new fee. I asked him why he did not check in my attic on the inital visit..I asked him on the initial visit if he needed to check the attic and he told me no. He said it was because I told him there was a possum in the attic. (please read the write up that explains he determined the animal) I corrected Mike and told him that was not correct. Mike then began cussing at me using the F word.

I am shocked at the lack of professionalism and that someone would cuss at a customer.

I still have the animal in my attic (which was my original complaint) and I paid $650 and have not had the problem resolved. I am now being cussed at and told it is probably rats so I will be charged for something else.

I would not use this company. BEWARE! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN! MIKE THAGGARD WILL CUSS YOU OUT!
