Nice restaurant. Went there on our honeymoon and just returned there after ten years, still a great place. Fun wait staff and great food. Right on the water so you can listen to the waves coming in as you enjoy your food. Excellent.

Went here with the family, and was quite impressed. Every dish was fantastic, liked the atmosphere with the great view of the ocean. The staff was helpful and friendly with the Kids.

Ordered a special that was Lobster Filled Manchu (sp?) and it was just great. The Kalua Pork appetizer was fantastic.

We were also surprised to know it was affiliated with Duke's in Malibu, which is a decent restaurant.

Pros: Kalua Pork was Great, and Great View

Cons: Little pricey, even for Maui

Kimo's Restaurant has a friendly atmosphere and friendly staff. They are known for their prime rib and if you plan on ordering it, you must let your waiter know ahead of time. But, my Dad thoroughly enjoyed the prime rib, so it is worth the wait!

Pros: Awesome food. Great service and atmosphere.

Cons: Hard to find parking nearby.

Located on Front Street, overlooking the ocean. This is a walkin restaurant, so most patrons wait in the bar area which is the whole first floor. When called they are escorted to the second story which is the dining area. Good selection of fresh fish and good service. Always busy, so to enjoy sunset get there early.

PROS: Fresh fish.
CONS: Moderately noisy. No parking, must use/pay public parking.

Kimo's located on Front Street and the Pacific ocean provides a natural romantic spot. This setting also creates a sense of excitment. The perfect place to ahve lunch or dinner with friends or a date. Prices are average. The food is good, especially the prime rib. You must also try the Hula Pie! If you can not finish the Hula Pie, must can't they will whip it into a drink.

Make reservations for dinner to avoid a wait.

PROS: Friendly staff, affordable, on the ocean
CONS: Busy and sometimes a long wait if no reservations

Editorial from

On the water in historic downtown Lahaina, Kimo's is a dependably good place for fish and steak. The view---especially if you can get an oceanfront table---is exceptional at sunset. The menu is not particularly imaginative, but you'll find…
