A fun atmosphere. Wait staff very friendly and helpful. Open kitchen. Fairly large room. Had live music early evening. Good food too.

We visited for dinner, although Stella Blues seems to be better known for its breakfasts. A very relaxed atmosphere with friendly service, which families with children might find more comfortable than some of the resort restaurants. The food was excellent but a little on the pricey side for a shopping center restaurant in Kihei. The catch-of-the-day was the best seafood I had on our trip (better than both comparable and higher priced restaurants) and the menu was varied enough meet a variety of tastes. I would go back - and would like to try the breakfast.

Great breakfast - did have a long wait. Had outdoor seating and indoor but still very crowded. Service was acceptable - because it was so busy. Reasonable priced - that's why it was busy. Not only tourist visited but also local folks.

Stella's was close to the place we were staying in Maui, so we ended up eating here twice. The first time we visited it was with a group of 6 adults and 2 infants. Quite the group to serve, but the staff here handled us very well. I was pleased with how accommodating they were to our needs.\r\n\r\nWe started off with some drinks and appetizers. I ordered the Lava Flow Pina Colada. It was good, though I would've preferred it have a BIT more flavor to it - just a little bland. We ordered several apps, but the only one I can remember is the Thai lettuce wraps. I love the Thai chile sauce and they did the other fixings very well. It's a tasty, light appetizer that we really enjoyed. The fact that I can't remember what else we got probably says a lot - it was probably ok but not memorable.\r\n\r\nFor dinner my wife ordered the jambalaya ""oh mya"" (cute) which was very good - though I'm not a connoisseur of jambalaya. It was VERY spicy - which I know she enjoyed. I had the fresh fish special of the evening. It was also good, but not fantastic. Ahi (I think) surrounded by some vegetables and a green aioli sauce with mashed potatoes. Not bad, just not great. However, the Mega Mai Tai I ordered with dinner WAS great. Also, VERY strong (I did giggle all the way home). \r\n\r\nThe 3 men in our group came back for lunch after a golf outing. It was the kind of experience I would expect from a local pub where we live. Burger was good, service was also fine. I will say that the Bloody Mary I had was GREAT. And I've been around some very good and very bad Bloodies in my time. This was one of the better ones. Normally I need to really coach the staff through how to make it so that I find it tasty - but they almost nailed it (I asked for a bit of Worcestershire sauce) the first time. Overall, a fine meal - though I'm sure there are other places you could go on Maui that may be more memorable. From what I could tell the prices here aren't as bad as others on the island.

We've gone there 3-4 times while on Maui. You can sit outside if you wish, the food is good, and the staff was reasonbly attentive. \r\n\r\nGood value overall
