Great if you want something cheap and a bit dated. (Of course most hotels here are a bit dated) Near alot of simple shops and restaurant. Couple streets from the beach - some have kitchenettes to save on money for food. I've stayed in many hotels in Honolulu during our 3 yrs living there and this is smack in the middle for price, location, and decency of room.

We stayed here once beacuse we wanted to be in the heart of Waikiki and didn't want to spend a fortune. It turned out to be alright although the rooms were a bit small and the parking was expensive. It's right next to all the restaurants and downtown Waikiki and most of the time you won't be in the hotel. If you're looking for just a cheap, decent place to sleep in the center of town, this would be a good choice.

PROS: Near downtown and beach
CONS: Small rooms, expensive parking

Message from Ohana Waikiki West

The Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki is located conveniently across from the International Marketplace, and is in the center of many shopping, dining and entertainment events. The hotel features on-the-go drinks and snacks, a full-service restaurant and an on-site fitness center. Sip on a refreshing drink or cocktail at the pool bar in the outdoor heated pool, or enjoy the waves at Waikiki Beach.

Having completed a $5 million renovation, this once boxy chain hotel is now worth another look. Island artworks abound throughout the lobby and the over 660 air-conditioned accommodations have Hawaiian-themed decor. Most of the guestrooms…
