i took my vehicle in for a service engine light. i had just recently purchased a service contract from fidelty after i informed the adviosr that i did have extended warranty and gave him the info, he checked me in and i waited. a couple of minutes later he came back and informed me that i had already purchased a service contract from saturn. The service contract that i bought with the car mimicks the factory warranty. so that was cool. because of him i canceled my other contract saving me money. also what i thought was nice was that they wash your car for you upon request.

I was surprised to read 2 negative reviews on here, because I had an excellent car buying experience at Saturn of Honolulu.

I had never really considered a Saturn for a new car (previously a Nissan fan... loved my 350Z), but on a whim my husband and I went to test drive the 2009 Vue. We showed up late, about an hour before closing, and test drove a Vue. Due to construction on H1, the test drive took about 30 minutes. Our salesperson, Paul R., was very good natured about the delay, and answered plenty of questions about the Vue throughout the drive.

Saturn won me over with the Vue, and after the test drive we went in to try to get financing. Not once did I feel that we had to haggle over the price because it was obvious that the dealership was giving us a great deal on all fronts. When trying to pick a specific Vue, Paul let me flip through their binder of invoices, something the customer isn't supposed to see (sorry if I get you in trouble Paul!).

With the GM military discount, we were barely paying more than the dealer invoice. That combined with the 0% financing for 60 months sold us. We also had a trade in, and they gave us $1000 more than the suggested Kelley blue book trade in value.

Because we were upside down on our trade, we did have to come up with a down payment. Unfortunately, we didn't have the money at the time, so we ended up not buying the car. Even though Paul had to stay late to process our paperwork, he was very nice as we were leaving (and at this point, it didn't look like we would be buying a car).

Turns out we got a settlement from State Farm later that week, so my husband and I decided to go back to the dealership. Fortunately GM had extended the 0% financing, and the exact same deal was offered. But after some thought, I decided I wanted a bigger SUV, and we test drove the Outlook. I loved the Outlook right away. Even though it was a few thousand dollars more, the 0% financing put it in our budget for monthly payments.

Again, Paul & co had to stay late to process our paperwork (we were there until about 10:30pm). They were very nice the whole time- Paul even kept my husband busy watching videos on youtube while I signed the paperwork.

All in all, I had a great experience at Saturn of Honolulu from start to finish. Not once did I feel pressured to buy from them. I never felt the need to haggle, and I left a very satisfied customer. I can't speak for the other salespeople, but Paul was extremely helpful and I don't hesitate to recommend him.

I don't usually write reviews, but our family have been customers of Saturn, HOnolulu for years and our experience with them in everything from servicing to leasing and purchasing is outstanding. There's no haggling, no dealing, no price wars, and no one trying to hold you in the showroom until you buy.
The sales people are very low key and don't try and pressure you. Anyone who seriously wants to deal with a great car company will like them - plus the new cars are miles apart from the old saturn styles!

My wife an I were looking for a new car as our old one had just about had it. We stumbled upon the Saturn Vue and became quite fond of it. Helping the decision to go with a Vue was the fact that I, as a Wal-mart employee would be entitled to a GM Supplier's discount, which would save us about $1200 on the particular Vue that we wanted in addition to the rebate which GM was offering.
When we were about to write the check for our new Saturn Vue, the salesman came over to the table to inform us that "things had changed." The rebate we were supposedly getting had been cut almost in half. He said they made a mistake and that GM wouldn't honor the full rebate and that there was nothing that he could do, even though it was the dealership's mistake. This after the salesman had already showed us the figures which had been typed up only an hour earlier.
In disgust my wife and I got up and were ready to leave, but the salesman asked us if we would still be interested in the car if he met us half-way on the rebate that he had just reneged on. This only confirmed to my wife and I that there was definitely something crooked going on at this particular dealership.
After leaving the the dealership in disgust , my wife and I had asked each other what just happened. We were literally finalizing what we thought was a decent deal and then wham...it all fell apart. It was almost like a kick in the guts.
On our drive home we figured it out. Had we bought the car with the newly revised figures, and last minute figures at that, we would have paid just about $1200 more than we were quoted on only an hour earlier. So much for the supposed GM supplier's discount that this dealership claims to honor.
This experience that my wife and I had with Saturn of Honolulu not only soured us on this particular dealership, but all GM dealerships. GM just lost a potential lifelong customer, as well as other potential customers, as we'll make it a point to inform everyone we know about the business practices of Saturn of Honolulu, and believe us, we know a lot of people.

went in to test-drive a Saturn and to get info. The salesman was personable and knowledgable. There was no hard sell. It was nice to have no pressure.
