For a pancake house you only have 4 choices of pancakes and they offer no pancake breakfast selections. All pancakes are 1 pancake per order. Any eggs or anything else have to be ordered as side items. And don't come thirsty there are no refills on soft drinks only coffee or tea. The menu wasn't much to choose from. The service was good though and fast.

I grew up in Kaneohe, HI and my family dined at Koa Pancake House regularly. In spite of frequent visits to the restaurant, I could never get enough of it. Now grown up and living in Portland, OR, I find myself craving the breakfast menu all the time. Trips home to visit the folks are never complete without breakfast at Koa Pancake House. The homemade Vinha D'Alhos & eggs and Scottish Bangers & eggs have been my favories since I was child. The service is very friendly and I the food is perfect. Koa Pancake House offers classic Hawaiian breakfasts such as spam or vienna sausage and eggs w/rice too. This is good old "local" comfort food at it's best.

Pros: Everything - I cannot say enough good things about the food and service!

Cons: Long wait on weekends due to popularity and limited parking lot, but there is plenty of parking on the side streets.

I believe the Koa Pancake House in Kaneohe is the first eatery on the island of Oahu. It is a "sit down" dining experience where a waitress takes your order rather than you go to the cashier and order your breakfast/lunch.The Vinha D'alhos (portugese pickled pork) is mouth watering as well as the Spinach Eggs Benedict.I am not fond of their banana pancakes, however. I like my banana's in my pancake not just on top of the pancake. But, that is a personal choice. The food is tasty and service is good. The waitresses are very pleasant.Parking is a problem when eating at the Kaneohe Koa Pancake House. So be prepared to find alternate parking, either on the street fronting the restaurant or the side street fronting the Windward Mall.

Bring something to read as you wait your turn to have an onolicious meal at the Koa Pancake House. Once you get in service is fast, friendly and efficient. Fried rice and Portuguese sausage, Vinha d'ahls, Pancakes, eggs, hey man, it's all good. Only been to the Kaneohe branch but I'm sure the other locations are just as good.
