We went to the Wyndham hotel to spend some time and attend a presentation. This was the worst experience I've had in a LONG TIME! I will NEVER again stay at a Wyndham hotel again! I've never been so insulted in my life and felt like a prisoner!! I wish there was a -5 star rating for this place!!!

My wife and I attended a Fairfield Time share presentation at their sales center in the Outrigger Reef Hotel. we were promised that the presentation would not be high pressure, would only take 90 minutes, and we would receive a free gist at the end.
After two hours of nonsense about how much were are going to spend on vacations over the next 50 years, we finally got to find out that the price of this unbelieveable opportunity is $60,000.00 plus a $1600 per year maintenance fee. (plus an undisclosed amount of Hawaii real property tax) At that price, if you stay in the most primo ocean view rooms in Waikiki, you are buying about 120 hotel nights up front, and payng for 3-4 additional nights every year. For that, you get the time share for one week a year, so it would take 41 years for the price to equal out. When we didn't jump at that fantastic opportunity, we then had to talk to two different "closers." The first closer, whom I'll call "Insult Man" browbeat us for about another hour. Insult Man actually told us that we were fools not to buy it, and he didn't care, because the parent company of Fairfield, Cendant, is buying up all of the hotels anyway, so they'll get our travel money no matter what.
The second closer "Exit Survey Girl" promised us an additional free gift if we would talk to her for ten minutes about our experience. It took about half an hour with her, and at the end of it all, there WAS NO FREE GIFT!!!!

PROS: A horrible, overpriced "investment" that you'll never recoup
CONS: Get trapped for hours with lying jerks in a sales office
