The customer service here is deplorable!!
About a month ago, I was ready to buy a shiny new set of irons. I'm a female who is definitely new to the sport and needed help with the different advantages and disadvantages to hybrid irons. I patiently waited until the salesman was done with his customer and asked for his assistance. He merely waved me off and pointed to women's section.
(I know WHERE they are, sir, but I need some help with making a decision). It took a full forty five minutes with no assistance. I had questions regarding my height, my handicap, etc. and wanted to make sure I bought the right clubs. I finally went online and purchased some Taylormade Burner Plus Hybrid irons ($899.00 plus shipping) from tgw.com.

When I decided it was time to spend some money on a driver, I thought I'd try Roger Dunn again. There were different people working that day, but the level of service and assistance was just as bad. I just needed some general guidance. Sadly, I left the store and again headed to the internet. I decided to buy the Burner ($299.99) for no specific reason other than I liked the irons that I previously bought. This brings my spending tally to $1200.00 that Roger Dunn has missed out on.
Fast forward to today. I went into Roger Dunn to look for a putter. They asked how long I had been playing and I told them about 4 months. His advice was to just pick out the cheapest one since I wouldn't know the difference. I view golfing as an investment--and am willing to pay some money to invest in GOOD equipment that I will use for some time. I was more than a little offended with his suggestion. I left in disgust and have vowed to NEVER set foot in this damned store again! Of course, I then went home, scoured the internet for reviews/information...and ended up buying an Odyssey putter ($150.00) again from tgw.com.
Perhaps it was because I'm a female, or because my car doesn't look like I'm the type of person to spend nearly $1500 on a brand new obsession. The store was not busy. In fact it seemed the sales staff couldn't be pulled away from watching TV to even look up when I asked for some help.
Personally, I'm happier waiting a few days extra to order my equipment online. Additionally, I've stumbled upon Maui Golf in Kihei by the Tesoro--their prices are slightly higher, but the SERVICE there is excellent. I'd pay the extra money to be treated courteously

Nevada Bob's Golf carries a good selection of golf clubs, balls, and shoes. They also carry clothing and accessories. Their prices are reasonable and their employees are helpful.
