My husband and I stayed at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel for six nights. The hotel is huge, so you could end up doing a lot of walking just to get around the place. The staff are very friendly, but check-in was a bit frustrating. We were told be upgraded to an Oceanview Room, which was great, but the room had two twin beds. As a couple, this wasn't ideal, so we called the front desk if they could move us to a room with a king or two queens. We waited for a while, and they finally founds us a room that a partial ocean view. They accommodated our request, but they should have thought not put a married couple in a room with two twin beds!

Other than that, the hotel was great for the money. Hapuna Beach is beautiful, and on our last full day, we saw sea turtles while snorkeling right in front of the resort. The bedding and fixtures need some updating, but the rooms are large with very spacious bathrooms. Having two sinks was awesome.

I definitely recommend this hotel especially to those who are traveling with children. I suggest buying food/groceries from Kona since dining can get pretty expensive in the Waikoloa coast resorts. Also, rent your snorkel gear somewhere else, because the hotel rental charges by the hour!

Overall, it was a great experience, and I would stay there again.

We stayed here about 3 months ago in a suite facing the garden. First of all we loved our room which was very spacious and overlooked not really a garden, but the Kohala Mountains. The view was fabuous because our lanai was so huge! The room had 2 bathrooms, a livingroom with a nice TV and sofa, and a master bedroom with a king room. We also had a coffee maker and refrigerator. The bathroom in the bedroom is really huge with two sinks so two people can get ready and wash up in the same bathroom. The best part of the hotel was the beach in front of the hotel. The weather was sunny everyday so we went to the beach each afternoon. It was pleasure to swim at this white-sand beach with crystal clear waters and hardly any big waves, which was perfect since I have a 6 year old.
