...is because the price of the meat to yakiniku is kind of expensive. Now, that's kind of unfair to the restaurant because honestly I wouldn't think of going anywhere else for yakiniku...

The service ranges from good to pretty good. The ladies are constantly on the go and probably walk five miles a night.

The beer is good -- I really like OB, which isn't the easiest to find down here.

I love their beef tongue. We always order it, as well as the marinated shortribs, sometimes the steak and cigar minnow. They also provide a whole bunch of vegetable dishes (like tsukemono?) and if you want more of anything they're happy to give you some. I really like their salad. It's just plain red lettuce with their dressing but the dressing is really good (sour)... They also have their stews, which are VERY good... we like the doubu chi ge and kim chee chi ge... Spicy and flavorful. My mom likes the fried fish (yellow corvina).

The rice, of course, is excellent. You can mock that all you want, but you can have bad rice and I believe bad rice can ruin a meal, especially yakiniku and sashimi.

They have a lot of variety, and a dessert drink that's good for you to cleanse all of that burnt stuff you put into your system. I always come home smelling like yakiniku but it's a nice reminder of the ALWAYS satisfying meal I got from there.
