We always stop at Marukai to stock up on Japanese/asian grocery items. They have a wonderful supply of imported grocery items, fresh fish, meats, fruits/vegetables, many snacks and drinks, as well as ready-to-eat bento type dishes. If you go in the late afternoons, these are further discounted to sell quickly. All are delicious and reasonably priced. No wonder it is so very popular and crowded all the time!

This is probably the more cheaper of Asian markets. It sells basically all the Asian stuff you would need. The best part is that they have designer type mochi during boys day. They ship it in from Japan and its really really good. Also, they commonly have easy to go bentos and other simple grabs to eat. They mark down all their made food (bentos, california rolls) in the afternoon so thats when my mom goes and picks something up.

Marukai is a membership store costing annually $10. They sell a large variety of asian foods and items, largely japanese. Price wise, they advertise a lot of sale items and they have a nice selection of fresh fish and produce. You can get a great bargain on their sale meats as well. Japanese medicinal supplies are well-stocked at this location. Always crowded on weekends and mornings. They have bentos (boxed lunches) and grilled fish during the lunch hour.

PROS: Lots of variety of asian foods
CONS: Parking always conjusted
