I've stayed here so many times over the years that it's like going home. A friend who stayed here with me objected, saying "no views." That's true, but I never spend much time in my room, other than sleeping and bathing. I like the restful furnishings, and the rooms are good sized. The baths have a "furo", a Japanese style tub combined with a shower. The staff is bend over backwards helpful and friendly. This is always my first choice when I go to Honolulu.

This is a great deal for Waikiki. The location is good, and there is valet parking. Staff is exceptionally attentive, helpful, and friendly. You can always find a great rate here; and that is surprising since this is such a good property. Rooms are good sized, nicely furnished, and comfortable. You'll find lots of locals who are loyal to this property, even after it became Doubletree. Don't forget to get your cookies at check in.

The nice part about this hotel is that it has been newly renevated and is absolutely the best price if you can snag the specials. They usually have some pretty good deals online and you can just check them out when you are bored. I saw inside and it was very nice. It sometimes has a lot of kids so it may be rowdy, but its a nice hotel.

This is a favorite hotel for me, as I used to come here when it was known as the Alana. Now it's part of the Hilton chain. Rooms are good sized, and high priced rooms are downright spacious. Some rooms have wet bars. Valet parking only. I just can't say enough good things about all of the staff, and the great personal attention we have gotten over the years. Don't forget your free Doubletree bedtime cookies!
