This is a good Japanese Restaurant but for the high prices I had expected much more. I went for a bridal shower, the private rooms are very spacious and serene and the food was very good. But I went again for lunch in the main dining room and I thought the prices were really high for the amount that was given. There are much more affordable places with just as good authentic Japanese food. I suppose the location - right at the beginning of Waikiki forces them to charge a lot.

How good and authentic is the Japanese food here? Let me put it this way, whenever I've gone, all of the other diners have been Japanese celebrating a special occasion. The first few times I went there the entire menu was in Japanese. The very nice waitress and I tried to make up our own sign language to figure out what I'd order. Still not sure what I ate, but it was delicious! Things have changed now -- english has been added to the menu and most of the wait staff is bilingual -- but the food is still just as amazing. As an added bonus, it's not a tourist trap.
