If you're on the South Shore, this place is THE place for breakfast or lunch. Everything is homemade. Portions are huge. Prices are reasonable. It's always crowded, but don't let that deter you: a table always seems to open up within a few minutes!

The bell capt. at our hotel told us about this place, it was wonderful. We were in Maui 5 days and ate there 3 times. The food has a very home cooked feel to it. And everything we had there was awesome! (chirizo and eggs, friedrice and eggs, pastries and portugese sausage) This place doesn't look fancy but don't let that scare you off, it's the best breakfast. The employees are very friendly and helpful they even let me try one of the pastries after I asked about it. All seating is outside with a great view of the beach and great for people watching. I would recommend Kihei Caffe, we loved it!!!

We've visited Maui 3 times in the last two years, and Kihei Caffe is easily one of our favorite breakfast restaurants. The restaurant itself is very casual. You order your food, find your own table, and then a waiter brings your food to you. The tables are outside and overlook the beach. It's a very relaxing, informal way to start your morning in Maui. The pancakes are great... we personally like the banana pancakes with macadamia nuts and coconut syrup. The french toast and omelets are also great. The smoothies are superb. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone staying in/around Kihei.

Hey this place is great. We tried it for the first time, always a bit leary of trying a new place. But really- the crowds are not here for the great and convenient location only, they are here because the food is wonderful and the service is fantastic. This feels like a family owned place complete with a mother type figure coming around to chat with her customers at your ocean view tables. Homemade cinnamon rolls are the bomb- homemade scones melt in your mouth. We recommend the pancakes as well. Huge portions are well worth the price (which isn't really THAT bad- you are in Maui). Don't be afraid of the waitress (looks like Yoko) with the handgun necklace and handcuff earrings- she is super friendly and helpful! Go- you won't be sorry! Get there early though- the goods will be gone quick!

Kihei Caffe was a great little restuarant that I stumbled on during a vacation. It's on the Kihei main drag although it can be overlooked, it gets crowded around lunchtime. Kihei Caffe offers many breakfast choices for affordable prices including, basic eggs and bacon, french toast on portuguese sweet bread, loco mocos, huevos rancheros and lots of different scrambles. Their eggs were always cooked perfectly and we usually opted to have the the freshly baked biscuits with strawberry jam rather than the plain toast. Coffee is $1.50 with one free refill. Kihei Caffe offers sandwiches and burgers for lunch and they are always crowded! The staff is uber friendly, they always stop to answer any questions or to inquire on how your food is.

PROS: delicious breakfasts
CONS: no parking whatsoever
