Fukuya has a wide variety of very tasty Japanese, okazuya-type foods. It's a walk-in, takeout place that's especially busy around 11:00AM. If it's your first time there, you'd do best to avoid eye contact with a server while curbing the urge to be the next person in the mob to order until you make a list of what you want, lest one of the servers gives you an impatient sigh or a disgusted eye roll.

This place is an "Okazuya" which is like an ala carte Japanese cafeteria, but built only for take-out. You go in, and behind the glass counter is an array of traditional Japanese and Island foods. Here you build your own plate lunch. This is one of the best that I've been to. The food looks fresh and is not greasy. You need to get there before 11:00am for the best selection.
