Let me just say that in my 28 years of surfing I have never had anything but good experiences in a surf shop, until now that is... WOW have these guys got it all wrong on what a surf shop is supposed to be. The long and short of it:. I had just snapped my board @ kaisers and went in to pick up a Brewer fish. We had just gotten out of the water grabbed a bite at taco del mar and went to buy a new board on the way home. A very well dressed gentleman walked up to us. I immediately stuck my hand out introduced myself and told "Dave" that I needed a new board. Now I am ready to drop around $900.00 on a new Brewer and you know what "Dave" says in a very rude tone, " uh, would you mind putting your soda on the counter". Now I am a pretty easy going guy but this persons tone was waaayyy off base and I certainly took offense to his lack of manners. So I said, well yeah as a matter of fact I do so should I come back to buy a board when I don't have a $1.00 soda in my hand. He shrugged his shoulders and said," I guess so..". What and a-hole! Worst part is he is a "manager" Went a block down the steet to Blue Planet, guys were super cool and I went home with a sweet Ben Aipa with friendly service and my soda still in hand.. I suggest you do the same... Hawaiian South Shore SUCKS! Blue Panet Rocks PS Take me off of your mailing list as I will never shop @ your store again and I will make sure to share my experience any time I here the HSS name.
