The Wahiawa Botanical Garden started out in the 1920s as a site for forestry experiments by the Hawaii Sugar Planters' Association. It is now a 27-acre city park with grand old trees around a wooded ravine. The park contains 60-year old exotics such as cinnamon, chicle, and allspice. They also have ferns, loulu palms and other Hawaiian native plants. This is a nice place to visit for botanists or tourist interested in native Hawaiian plants.
