I got a piece added to my half sleeve.

My husband surprised me with an appointment to add-on to my too-small tattoo on my hip/side. We made an appointment with Andy and came in the day before with the ideas. Andy was great. He talked me through my idea and was realistic with how much we could get done in one sitting since I was leaving the island the next day to move overseas. On the day of the appointment, he freehanded my tattoo and continually asked me if that is what I was thinking. Andy was able to transform my idea into an even better tattoo than I had originally thought of. He is super nice and very conscious of me being comfortable throughout the sitting (approx 6 hours). He is really friendly and easy to talk to and isn't intimidating at all. He listened and even added a little more on at the end when I wanted an additional color. I can't wait to come back to the island to get more work done by him. I highly recommend him as an artist!

Tattolicious was an overall fantastic experience for my husband and I. We were married in Hawaii in March 2011 and celebrated by getting tattooed by Andy at Tattoolicious. The consult was great, and much time was spent working with us to design 2 great tattoos. I felt like the staff and artist (Andy) truly made a great effort to work with us and ensure we were completely satisfied! The atmosphere was friendly and comfortable, I enjoyed this shop. Artisit Andy was amazing, he took his time and created masterpieces on both of our arms, the colors are vivid and bright, and both tattos are bold and detailed. Andy took his time and truly went the extra mile as our appointment ended up lasting longer than expected and I did not feel rushed. Pixie is a treat as well, she makes you feel like a guest and working with her to ensure our arrangements were planned in advance was great, we corresponded by email and telephone and all arrangments went smoothly and worked out perfectly. Thank You Pixie and Andy!

During our vacation, it was my second time to Tatoolicious, my daughter's first. First off, Pixie is amazing and a joy to work with!
The tatoo artists were great as always, and we'll be back again next year when we come back to Hawaii!

I got a "jail tear" dermal on my eye from Sean, words cannot explain how positive the experience was! I get so nervous when I am getting pierced, but he made sure I was relaxed and comfortable which is so hard to find in a good piercer. Most places want people in and out, and I felt like the time and attention to each customer was amazing. I would recommend everyone to Sean for a piercing. Although the prices were higher than most shops, I'd rather have a perfect piercing and that's exactly what I got. Love this man!

I'd been wanting a cover up for a while for a bad tattoo done at a tattoo party when I was 21. My husband and I were celebrating our 10-year annniversary in Oahu and decided that a tattoo would be the perfect way to commemorate our trip.\r\nI looked up reviews online and found several top-rated shops. We visited one, but didn't get any warm fuzzies. Hit Tattoolicious next. The receptionist wasn't so impressive. She seemed preoccupied with the computer and wasn't real friendly but was polite enough. I felt we had to dig information out of her. I decided I was here for a tattoo, and that I'd base my decision on the artists and the online reviews, not the woman at the counter. We returned later that day, met Andy King, and made an appointment for the next day. When we showed up, he'd drawn a great picture of a hibiscus. From the get go, he was very nice, precise, gentle hand. Everything you'd want. I was thrilled by how little it hurt and even more thrilled with the result of the tattoo. I'd had 2 other small tattoos by different artists back home, and both tattoos had developed deep scabs and ended up looking like crap. I told Andy about this, and he obviously took care because his tattoo healed beautifully! Hardly any peeling, no scabbing whatsoever, bright beautiful colors, and no trace of the old tattoo. Hubby even saw several women point out my tattoo to their guy while out shopping saying they liked it. Everything about the whole experience (receptionist aside) was fabulous! I'd recommend Andy (I believe he's one of the newer artists there) to anyone wanting a tattoo, especially someone who's never had one and is afraid of the pain. He did great! Will plan on bringing relatives there when we return next year! Thank you, Andy!

Great place to get your tattoo!
For my third tattoo I decided on going to Tattoolicious as I had heard from a friend that their experience was great.
First of all the people who work there are very professional and nice, especially Andy who did the text on my hip which took about an hour and was done with perfection.
Secondly the price was good, it was a reasonable cost for what was done.
Third the environment was cool. Features I have never seen in a tattoo parlor before and definitely unique! The thing I liked most was that random guests that just stopped by didn't see the people getting tattooed, it was in an enclosed section. It was clean and Tattoolicious really showed professionalism.
I will definitely be back.

Very clean and professional, reasonable prices and timely service! Alex did an amazing job with my tattoo, I highly recommend him. The artists work with you to help finalize your ideas and design a tattoo that is absolutely what you want! For as long as I live here this will be the only place I go to for tattoos!

Tattoolicious was AMAZING! I didn't call ahead OR schedule an appointment and they were able to fit me in within 30 minutes. My artst, Cody, had a great personality as well! I've already recommended Tattoolicious to many of my friends! And I can't stop talking about how awesome the inside of the parlor looked. I will DEFINITELY return for my next tattoo, OR piercing! :)

These guys got what I wanted. My ink is personal - each piece has layers upon layers of meanings. Andy rocked! My piercings were professionally done, the environment was really clean and the stations were spread out so there was no crowding like many studios. In the end: They Rocked It! Thanks Andy for some beautiful artwork - can't wait to see my flower and butterflies!

First ever tattoo. The staff answered all my questions without making me feel stupid. Alex was the artist who worked on me. Great guy! Funny, patient, and his detailed work is amazing! Explained the procedure throughout. I'm thoroughly pleased with the end result and am proud to show off my ink! If you're in Oahu and find yourself thinking about getting a tattoo, especially for the first time, this place is the one to check out!

Tattoolicious Hawaii is CLEAN, PROFESSIONAL, and the mosty friendly group of tattoo artists I have dealt with. The professionalism coupled with a desire to give a tattoo that is right. I went in to get a chest piece and after consultation and working with designs we were able to come up with a tattoo that was creatively what I wanted and that was the best for me and my body. I will absolutely come here and recommend them to all local and those just visiting, Tattoolicious is the best Hawaii has to offer!

We were in Waikiki from Vancouver, BC and I decided to get a Hibiscus tattoo to commemerate my husbands and I's 5th anniversary and Andy did an exquisite job. The most beautiful Hibiscus and "tattoo" that my friends have ever seen. The amount of compliments is ridiculous..lol. The orange and yellow colours are stunnung and bright. Great experience at Tattoolicious and Andy made me feel very calm and comfortable for it was my first tattoo. See you again.

Visited every tattoo shop in Honolulu. The Tattoolicious staff made me the most comfortable. Terrific artists. I've had 7 tattoos done here and 4 ear piercings. I wouldn't go anywhere else in Hawaii for ink or piercing. A very roomy waiting area and large selection of jewelry.

I'm in the Navy, and needless to say, I see a LOT of tattoos, especially from people getting work done in Hawaii (I lived here for 3 years). I've also seen a lot of lackluster tattoos, but NEVER out of Tattoolicious. Everything I've seen come out of this shop has been amazing, and that's quite a few tattoos.

Sean and Amy are both amazing; I got work from both, and my wife got a piece from Amy, and we have both received tons of compliments on the quality and beauty of our tattoos. And honestly, they were extremely friendly and accommodating, which is not the norm in Hawaii. I feel like I made some great friends here.

The shop is very clean and sanitary. My only gripe is how far ahead you have to schedule, which I suppose is testament to the quality of their work. If you're going to get something requiring more than a few hours of work, be prepared to set a side a couple months to get it completed.

Give these guys their artistic freedom! No cheesy sea turtle tats here, and if you give them room exercise their creativity, you won't be disappointed. I only wish I could have had more done before I moved away!

---Be sure to ask the receptionist about the parking deck across the street before you arrive.---

Where to start? This place is AMAZING! The location is clean, the staff are very personable, and everyone is extremely helpful and friendly. Sean is my artist (still one more appointment to go) and I picked him up for his traditional/color portfolio, but all the artists here seem to have some really awesome skills, depending on what you're after (tribal, traditional, grayscale, etc.). He's been incredibly enthusiastic and helpful. I drew up my own artwork, but since this is something I've never done before, I didn't know the specifics on how to design the art as a tattoo (Just like any other kind of artwork, you have to consider your media). Sean reworked the design while still keeping my vision intact and worked with me to select colors, etc. Being a profesionally trained artist, these were things that were very important to me.

Their prices are great, especially as a highly custom-work focused shop.

Some things to keep in mind: If you're thinking of getting artwork done here, SCHEDULE WELL IN ADVANCE, especially if you've got a limitted amount of time on the island. These folks are well known and have an outstanding reputation, so you're not going to get in quick. Sean stays booked up to two months out, and for good reason.

This is my first tattoo, but I've been researching it off and on for about 8 years now, so I've seen a good number of shops and portfolios and I can comfortably say that these folks are running a high-class operation.

Nothing but great experiences with Tattoolicious. Amy is my artist and she is great. Very talented and is very easy to talk to. They always call a day or two before and reconfirm. When I leave I make an appointment for my next session and they are always very accommodating. Amy called me personally to talk about exactly what I wanted and it was so different than I what I imagined, but in a very very good way. She is an amazing artist and the other artist I've talked to there are very easy going. I have plans to get more work done by other artists there when Amy is out.

Sean and the Tattoolicious family of artist are sweet they are very welcoming no attitudes and they genuinely enjoy what they do and it shows. Original designs and great collaboration with the artist is key in a great Tattoo and in the Three day's of Ink I got, I saw amazing work and a great atmosphere from all the artist and staff. Mucho Mahalo's for the ridiculous work Sean I look forward to my next visit!\n\nEnjoy\n\nS Blain\nBig Island

I love the folks here at Tattoolicious, they've accommodated my wishes for body art on each visit. I love the fact that the tattoo artists here have the ability to draw designs directly onto my body not using stencils, therefore my tattoo's are truly unique and no one has one like any of mine. To me that means a lot.\n\n Turning my kids into fans as well. While Kristof was working on me, the owner was able to squeeze my girl in for a piercing.\n\nNo trip to Oahu is complete without a visit to Tattooalicious. If you are into body art, this is the place to visit. The trip to the shop to put down a deposit is kind of an inconvenience but knowing that I'm coming back to the Island on a relatively regular basis, I just leave a deposit on the books and phone for an appointment. \n\nCheck it out.

I had an amazing experience. I made it to my appointment a minute late but I told them that traffic was so bad. It really was and we had never been to the place before. Mia was able to take my appointment because the girl that was going to do mine was on personal leave. She made it so comfortable. Gave me some pointers so that it would look its best. She drew it up right away and had it done. Its my first tattoo ever and she made it fun. Even my husband who hates needles was able to stand with me the entire time and watch her do the tattoo. Now he wants one. Definitely going back to Tattoolicious to get my next tattoo. Before we move out of the island I have to go back. Great service plus the place looks awesome!

t is now 1:55 on the day of my appointment. I would have left in one hour to go to my consult. I just got a phone call canceling because of overbooking. I made this appointment over a week ago. My schedule is very tight because I have a child who is special needs. I was disrespected, insulted and told I was being unreasonable.\n\nOf course I am upset and being told ""that's the nature of this business"" does not cut it for me. I am expected to be on time for my appointment, why isn't the same expected of Tattoolicious? I was also told ""well, it's just a consult."" A consult was what was recommended to me by their staff. Couldn't they have called any sooner than two hours before my appointment? I see that they treat their customers with money in hand better than any future clients.\n\nI was prepared to come in, talk about my tattoo and make any deposit necessary. I have friends who were planning on getting tattoos from you guys whom I will discourage from seeing Tattoolicious.\n\nTo say I am disappointed is an understatement. Since I don't plan on hearing any kind of apology from them given the attitude of the person I talked to, I will not be giving them a second chance.\n\nThis could have been handled far better than it was on the part of their staff and to treat me in such a manner is not only rude, it's unacceptable. Insults are not necessary nor is disrespect. I did not insult or degrade or accuse anyone of being ""unreasonable."" I did not yell. I was polite while on the phone with this representative of Tattoolicious.\n\nI will not be giving any of my money to such a business nor will I be recommending Tattoolicious to anyone in the future.\n\nJust warning any future clients, your ""appointment"" may be mysteriously canceled at the last minute due to ""overbooking"". Tourists on a tight time budget should be especially aware.

My husband and I just returned from Hawaii on Wednesday. While we were there, I wanted to commemorate our trip as well as celebrate the end of my breast cancer treatment, so I decided to get a tattoo. Before we left for Hawaii, I googled for tattoo shops in Honolulu and found Tattoolicious. The reviews were fantastic and their website has portfolios for each of the artists there. I decided that I wanted Heather to do my tattoo. I met with her to discuss my design and to just meet her. Heather was fantastic. Not only did she do an absolutely beautiful job on my tattoo, she even came in 2 hours before her shift started to fit me in. This shop is fantastic! Everyone I met there was super nice. Heather rocks! She's a great artist and talked to me the whole time, to keep my mind off things. Mahalo!

2008 was a lousy year. My husband of 20 years passed away suddenly, I lost my job for the first time in my 22 year career in real estate, and I was scammed out of every penny I had and didn't have. It was a tough year, but I survived and now my life has turned around for the better. To commemorate surviving 2008, as a statement about myself and to myself, I decided to get my first tattoo... even though I have a profound fear of needles. After googling local tattoo shops, I came across Tattoolicious and I was impressed by the reviews I read and the artwork on their website. I met with Sean, whose artwork I particularly liked, for my initial consultation and he was more than warm, supportive, and encouraging. At my appointment a couple of weeks later, he went out of his way to ease my fears and he explained everything he was going to do. 3 hours later, I had a gorgeous full color koi fish tattoo with black kanji characters on my right shoulder. There was even an apprentice who took pictures of my tattoo as it progressed. My experience with Sean and Tattoolicious' front desk staff was soooo positive that I am booking another session to have a lotus flower and more kanji on my left shoulder. Go to Tattolicious. They are simply awesome.

Recently, my girlfriend and I vacationed to the beautiful island of O'ahu. During our 9 day stay, we decided that to top off the already fantastic vacation we were having, we agreed that we both wanted to get tattoos. Being complete new-comers to Hawai'i, the only places we really knew about going were that along the main strip of Waikiki Beach. As we were walking along the strip, we came across Electric Tattoo, if I remember the name correctly. If not, it was the tattoo parlor near the Bank of Hawai'i. We walked in and were completely appalled with the service we were encountering--cold, mean. Not the ""Aloha"" spirit we were used to. It was soon thereafter that we came across the Best of O'ahu books, and found a 10% discount for Tattoolicious. We called, found out where it was, and headed on down. As soon as we walked in, we felt an overwhelming wave of friendliness, care, and overall love for the work that they do. The parlor was absolutely stunning with immaculate art work portrayed, showing the true character for what they represented--a tattoo parlor that took their work seriously. Every single person we met there was unlike the stereotypical tattoo artist, and went the extra mile to make you feel comfortable about getting unremovable ink on your body. Sean McCready was our tattoo virtuoso, and also, if I'm correct, the owner of Tattoolicious. The man did such remarkable work with not only our tattoos, but also in his friendly way of speaking. Something as painful as getting needles jabbed into your skin to create art was nothing more than the touch of a child creating a finger painting simply because being tattooed himself, he seemed to understand the pain one must endure to get through such a process, and would keep you talking to take your mind off of the pain, and would stop at any moment and not make you feel like a sissy. Living roughly 12 hours away from Hawai'i, I was anxious to get back home to Maine and write of my experience. GO THERE!

Thanks to Heather, I had the most amazing experience getting my first tattoo. She was very professional, welcoming, informative, and a fantastic artist. Everything about the place, from entering the front door to paying the bill, was an amazing experience. I have already spread the word about Tattoolicious to friends, and I will definitely be a return customer as well!

I got my first tattoo ever here. The place was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I met with Heather who was FANTASTIC! I knew a general idea of what I wanted and with my consultation with her, she helped tweek the idea into something perfect. On tattoo day, she was so friendly and so understanding about my fear of getting it done. She explained the whole process, what I would feel, what was to happen, etc and she was right on target. She kept up conversation to help keep my mind off of everything and when she was done, I couldn't have been more pleased. It was BEAUTIFUL!!! The price was also the cheapest in Honolulu!!! I highly recommend Heather and Tattoolicious whether it's your first or 10th tattoo.

11 years ago when in Hawaii I wanted to get a tattoo as a reminder of my trip there and I decided not to get one after all, I always regretted that decision after returning home. Going back there in 2008 I decided that I would not allow the same regret so I set out to find the right place to acquire my Hawaiian souvenir. There were many sites to choose from in Waikiki but there was only one place for me, Tattolicious! Not only was it the cleanest Tattoo place I had ever been to they were very helpful to all of my questions and concerns! \r\n\r\nI would highly recommend them to everyone looking for a safe clean place to acquire body art! I am very pleased with the overall experience and the finished product that I look forward to returning to them someday for more! Jason was the artist that did my work and all I can say is Jason you rock bro! If you're looking for a tattoo in Waikiki there is only one place to look, Tattolicious!\r\n\r\nTom Davis

HUNT & HUNTINGTON tattoo shop on Kuhioi Ave Waikiki is the worst shop I've been to. \r\nI had a tattoo done when I arrived on the island of Oahu and had a small item included in the design which was this exact size...""o"" < < exact size. \r\n\r\nA few weeks later I decided I didn't want it and I went in to have it colored in. First I was asked IF I LIVE HERE OR NOT...being a snowbird it soon became apparent I received the special TOURIST PRICE because they wanted their minimum of $140.00 dollars to color (one color) the cirlce in. I checked all over town and the highest minimum I could find was $60.00\r\n\r\nThe artist who did the original tattoo never spoke one word during the process except to mumble a grunt whan asked a question. This lack of customer interaction...the super expensive minimum to fix such a small item and their total lack of concern for customer service appears to be based on the concept of ""Gouge n' wave bye bye to tourists""\r\n\r\nHighly recommended to stay away from this place. My two friends and I have lots of ink left to get and it will certainly NOT be at this shop.

I was in hawaii tattoo shop and this place was awesome. The tattoo waikiki shops were not all the best I've seen until I went to this waikiki tattoo shop. Man, artists were cool at Tattoolicious and the tattoos were awesome. Next time in a tattoo hawaii shop I'm going to Tattoolicious. Also, the hawaii piercing here is great! I got my tounge pierced and it was very clean and basically no pain. Next time I'm in hawaii for a tattoo I'm going to Tattoolicous. Very clean and professional. I highly recommend!

Before going to Honolulu on business, I checked out the Tattoo licious website and was impressed by Amy's portfolio. They took my appointment by phone and the experience was great. This was my fourth tattoo in as many shops, but this was by far the best work and atmosphere of any of them. Amy is an amazing artist and a great person. She is very knowledgeable and easy to work with while designing the tattoo. The shop is very clean and all of the staff are exceptionally friendly (especially Sean and Jason). Prices are very reasonable too. I cannot recommend Amy and Tattoolicious enough. I would definitely go back again.

My wife was terrified about getting her first tattoo and I was terrified about getting permanent bad art work on my body. Our intrepidation was unmerited when we saw the artistic creation that came out of Sean's tattoo gun. He didn't lie to my wife with guarauntees that "This won't hurt at all" and calmed her through the whole process. The art speaks for itself and I recommend him to anyone that is considering getting tattoo work. The other people at Tattoo licious have good portfolios too but I think Sean is the best. Ok, I better stop before I start sounding gay for Sean.

Tattoo Licious is an amazing shop and definitely should be on everyone's list for places to stop by if you're in the area. Sean did a great tattoo on my friend on the spot, and Paul, well Paul did an AMAZING piercing and not enough good things can be said about these two guys. They have awesome jewelry in small AND large sizes (for stretched piercings) which is something I haven't found here in Honolulu, Hawaii. The shop is sterile and very professional looking. It's just a great shop, and honestly, the prices are great considering Sean is basically booked way in advance. You get QUALITY in this shop, which is not something to be said for every other shop in Honolulu.

You get QUALITY in this shop, which is not something to be said for every other shop in Honolulu.

I decided to get a tattoo while recently in Waikiki. I have a couple other small ones, and my friend wanted a small one too, so we visited a couple of shops in the area and did some online researching. I chose Tattoolicious because the shop was open and clean, and it seemed more like a hip salon or spa than like some of the more old-school sailor or biker tattoo places you find in other areas (there is an Aveda salon in the space too). Not that those types of shops are bad, but Tattoolicious' space was more inviting for me.\r\nWe made our appointments and came back a few days later for the tattoos. My artist, Sean, helped me work out a great design that he drew up for me. He was unfailingly kind, polite, and knowledgeable. If I choose to get another tattoo, I'd go back to Tattoolicious and/or Sean without a second thought. The space was clean, I was comfortable there, and Sean was terrific.

Pros: Artist's skill and personality, atmosphere, cleanliness

Cons: Small flash collection, but the artists will help with designs

I recently went on vacation to the island of Oahu and I wanted to get my first tattoo.I did not know what shop would be the safest and make me feel most comfortable.I opened up a Best of Oahu magazine and there was Tattoolicious!!They had a 10% off coupon for tattoos so I decided to check them out.The second I walked in,I was blown away by their beautiful shop and the impeccable sincerity of their employees. The front desk staff answered my every question and the artist that tattooed me,Sean, went over the extensive sterilization process with me and he listened to my every comment I had and he designed my tattoo around my exact directions. When I was finished,I had a beautiful tattoo that was EXACTLY what I always dreamed.I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to get a tattoo in Hawaii and have a positive experience.

I got a tattoo at this parlor on March 11th, 2006. When I called for info/appointment the receptionist blew me off. I had to call the next day and talk to someone compitent to get the info I needed. My tattooist was talented and fast, but she didn't draw up something custom for me like I wanted. She also didn't seem to care when I asked her to give me a break. She also told me that I could not have color in my tattoo because it was too small, which I later found out was untrue. I recieved very little information on how to take care of my tattoo. I had to look that information up online. However! I think this was just a fluke, because everyone else seemed great and the place was gorgeous and clean. Overall I'd go back again, I'd just get a different artist.

Im so glad my first experience getting a tattoo was with tattoolicious in waikiki. I had gone to other tattoo shops in waikiki but I felt uneasy with the other shops staff and I had issues with their levels of cleanliness. At tattoolicious they dont reuse needles and their equipment is autoclaved, which really put me at ease. Thank you tattoolicious!

I was staying in Waikiki Oahu in Hawaii. I went to tattoo licious in waikiki. This tattoo parlor is beautiful. They have body piercing and a whole tattoo gallery. I stronly recomment tattoo licious. If you're in honolulu Hawaii, you have to go to this tattoo shop. I checked other tattoo parlors in waikiki and the whole island of oahu and tattoo licious is the best. Aloha hawaii.

I am blown away. I have never seen a cooler tatoo shop than this one. It is amazing and it's in Hawaii. It looks like something straight out of clockwork orange and a Quentin Terantino Movie. More like something you would find in LA or New York. The staff were way beyond nice and helpful. The ARTWORK is more than Magazine quality and many ARTIST to choose from Male or female. I am going to recommend this shop to the whole world. I hope all Tattoo shops would follow their model. So far they don't come close. Especially in Hawaii and Waikiki on Oahu.
