We love picking up a pizza from Papa Murphy's after work, or on our way to play cards with friends. The staff is usually pretty quick with our food, and we love the selection. We've had several different types, but love the Sicilian and the De-Lite pizzas.

While the pizza is average for the most part - a high note is the stuffed chicken and bacon pizza; the main reason to go to Papa Murphy's was economic. You save money by taking the pizza home and baking it yourself. I had done marginal business with them, and had joined an email list to help get more coupons. Upon completion of the survey in question I was given a $3 off coupon good for use on a 1 topping family size pizza. On going to the restaraunt, we found that they had a special of a family size pepperoni for 7.99, regularly 9.99 w/ no coupon required. Rather than take advantage of this special I requested that the pizza be sold at normal price and remove coupon discount. The employee refused stating that they would not honor the coupon. I left without ordering... and have not returned.

PROS: Good pricing, stuffed pizzas.
CONS: Inconsistent honoring of coupons and specials, mediocre pizza.

In 1995, two small franchises--Papa Aldo's Pizza and Murphy's Pizza--merged, forming a nationwide take-and-bake chain. The dough is prepared in-house daily, and topped with fresh cheese and basic (pepperoni, mushroom,…
