High quality Thai and Chinese food -- by far the best in the Cedar Rapids area.
Thai Moon offers great food fast and reasonably priced for lunch.
Thai Moon also provides an elegant dining experience with excellent service.
From business lunch to romantic dinner, Thai Moon is one of my favorite restaurants.
PROS: Fresh ingredients prepared by a tremendous chef
CONS: I don't get there enough

When I first tried Thai Moon I thought it was great but I didn't have much experience with Thai restaurants to compare it to. Since then I've had the opportunity to eat at some "real" Thai restaurants in California and elsewhere and I'm always pleased with how well Thai Moon compares.
I've also tried some marginal Thai restaurants in Seattle and elsewhere, so I know what that end of the spectrum is like. One of the things that is surprisingly difficult is to get really spicy dishes. Most places have to water down the spicy dishes to suit an American palate. Thai Moon does not fall victim to this. Try the Savory Chicken or the Evil Jungle Prince dishes and plan a trip to the restroom to blow your nose, splash some water on your face and regroup half-way through your meal.
In the evenings, Thai Moon offers a sushi menu. Their sushi, however, is embarrassing. Go down the street to the deli at Target for better sushi. Seriously.
The soups are great. We love the Tom Yum and Hot and Sour soups. Service is average and depends a lot on who's working and how busy it is.
PROS: Spicy dishes, seldom very busy
CONS: Don't bother with the sushi!

Only bad thing I found with this restaurant is that waitresses/waiters are not nice.
They don't even come back and ask you once they served the food. If you are american you are still fine.. but, otherwise don't even go there
I advise you to try other Thai restaurants..
PROS: good food
CONS: poor service

I like most of the dishes I have had here. I can't speak for the meat dishes, but the vegetarian options are good. OK beer selection, reasonable prices. Good service.
